Maybe I just haven't found the right dish. I can't remember the exact names of the dishes I've tried. Once, I had a coconut curry, which was decent. I had it with noodles, which turned out to be thick, fried noodles which I disliked. The fact that I can't even remember the other things I've tried says something, right? There are some pros. The lunch special is a really good value because you get an appetizer and soup along with your entree if I recall correctly. Neither are particularly substantial, but pretty tasty and a good start. Came here for lunch during work. Pad Thai was excellent, I liked the server's (Marissa) recommendation on how to spice accordingly. It came out perfect! My coworker had pad woon sen and I tried it, tasty! Going to have to get that next time. Atmosphere is relaxing, and our server was delightful! I ate here a couple weeks ago and the food was from at least a couple days, the noodles were hard and they only gave 3 shrimps. I ordered a pad Thai. The bathroom was clean and seating area looked okay. They give you a small percentage off if you pay in cash. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Been here a couple of times with my GF and her dad, everything was always perfect. however last week we went and the service was beyond horrendous. not sure if it was the server or what. but during our whole meal we did not see the server, nor got asked for a refill, nor were our appetizer plates etc taken away. i ordered a panang curry spice level 6 and it wasnt spicy at all. my gf ordered pad thai no spice and she had full heat. her dad managed to get the right order somehow. probably because the sever relayed the order wrong to the kitchen. idk. not coming back here again. read more

We have used this as a thai spot for lunch since it opened years ago. It has a busy lunch rush and then busy take out at dinner. Their lunch deal cannot be beat. A lunch portion of several items: we go with the pad thai, cashew chicken, curry dishes, and the garlic dish is always a winner. I have seen several of their noodle dishes coming out of the kitchen a lot so I am thinking they are also popular. Their chicken and tofu choices are great. I have had the beef several times, but not the fish choice. They start you with a broth soup. The lunch special also comes w a choice of cucumber salad, eggroll, or spring roll. Update: this just reopened after it was closed for a bit and has changed. I used to love their parang curry, it was thicker than most and really great- but not anymore- very little meat- mostly raw peppers and liquid-y sauce. The pad Thai was different too- lighter flavor and sauce. Meat filled wontonwere delicious and I wish more people had meat wontons. Prior review: This is my go-to place. They messed up the pad Thai today (I asked for no bean sprouts which they have always gotten right in the past and yet today there were bean sprouts. I picked them all off the time and thought it'd be fine but there are more throughout). But the flavor is still good, I just hate bean sprouts so it's kind of a waste. The Penang curry is very good! Pad se ew is always too light on the sauce so i have stopped ordering it. Potstickers are fried (like deep fried not pan fried) and are tasty as is the sauce that comes with. There used to be a Thai place near my home that offered Rama Chicken but due to the construction on Rte. 59 killing business they closed. The new Thai place my wife and I go to near our home doesn't have Rama Chicken on the menu so I wasn't sure when I'd get to have it again. Luckily near my office I've discovered Nathan's Noodles. They have Rama Chicken, heck I can even do Rama Duck or Rama Squid if I'm so inclined. The prices are also reasonable. The Thai place near my home while having excellent food is a bit overpriced for some of their offerings. At Nathan's I get a portion size that correlates to the cost of the food. I've tried several items and am yet to find anything I dislike! The only thing that would improve upon Nathan's Noodles would be to add Vietnamese fare like Pho. But since that's Vietnamese not Thai it's not really a must. read more

This place it small on the inside, only couple of tables. The dining area was clean . I ordered chicken Pad Thai. Food was really good ,and not to expensive. The problem with this place is that even though there were only 4 people in the restaurant it took forever to get the food. I wouldn't go back there, way to long. I orders take out through the Yelp app. Had to wait a few minutes when I got there, but the app said 25 minutes....and my drive was 10 minutes....not a big deal at all. I ordered spring rolls and satay chicken as I wasn't too hungry, but when I got there I saw a few menu items that was not shown on the app....wish I had ordered one of them! Mediocre, nearly sub-par Thai food that is a buck or so more than you'd expect to pay at other restaurants for less food. That pretty much sums it up. Stopped in and ordered carry out. The restaurant interior was nice, clean, though for some reason had dingy curtains drawn instead of letting in the beautiful sunlight and letting people see the digs. Got home, egg rolls had either steamed in the 10 minute car ride home or weren't well fried to begin with, bland, didnt really taste like anything. Pad Thai had plenty of tofu, however the sauce was orange from whatever chili sauce they used, very unappealing presentation. No cabbage, carrot, etc, just some bamboo shoot. Would have been very one note if not for the saving grace they added one slice of lime for some acidity. Tried a curry, kasa something, no coconut milk, the sauce was quite good but not nearly enough. Chicken was a bit chewy. Decent but small portion for the price. Won't be coming back, there's a better place called bamboo further south on york near butterfield. read more

We do not have a lot of Thai restaurants in our immediate area, so that is why we frequent this place occasionally; they deliver (a huge plus) and their food is decent. My favorites here are the Pad woodsen and vegetable stir frys. The restaurant itself is nothing special; a small little diner; but if you need Thai takeout in the suburbs, and you don't want to spend an arm and a leg for Takeout taxi, this place will do. read more

My friend and I come here once in a while mostly because we are close to the Bensonville area and crave Thai food like all the time. At Nathan's, the food has usually been ok. But a few days ago, we went here for lunch and we were PISSED. We had an hour for lunch, which because of slow service, turned into almost 2 hours. The cashew chicken was almost NONE- the plate was full of vegetables soaked in sauce. My friend got the tofu vegetable plate which was half cold, have steaming. WTF? I originally found out about this place from work. We would go here all the time for lunch break. Since it isn't too far from me, I try to make a visit every once in a while. I tried bringing my boyfriend here right after Christmas/New Years. To our surprise, they were closed. There was a note on the door stating they were closed on certain dates but the day we were there wasn't listed...so why were you closed Nathan's?? We finally were able to go a few weeks ago. We went on a Friday night and the place was pretty empty. I ordered my usual, sweet and sour chicken and my boyfriend ordered grilled chicken breast. Both came with a side of steamed rice. Again, the place was empty and we had to wait an unusually long time for our food to be served. They offer take-out so maybe that caused the backup but it felt like a half hour went by before we got our food. Overall the food was just like I had remembered. It would be nice though if the dinner meals were served with soup, egg roll, spring roll or cucumber salad like the lunch specials. read more

This is a hidden gem. I have stopped in many times and have never been disappointed. Though at lunch time it can get pretty busy and the wait is a little longer (like most places). First of all, this place looks dirty. A kid was sleeping in a car chair by the entrance with the junk around. She must be the owner's kid. The food was over priced with small portions. I ordered food to takeout. The lady at front was trying to push me to pay cash to get 5% discount. After I told her that I didn't have cash on me, she repeated twice saying I would 5% discount if I paid in cash. It seemed like she was desperate for cash. Anyway, the food was ok. I suggest eating in because when you order carry out you only receive a few pieces of Chicken in your Cashew Chicken dish and when you complain they say that they weigh the food and there is no way it could be wrong. Really disappointed with this place, which sucks because I love me some thai food and live right down the street from here. I spent 35 bucks for my husband and I for an entree each and an appetizer sampler. I am amazed at how small the portions are for the price we paid. This much spent on food should have given us leftovers for at least a day or two. I LOVE Nathan's. I've lived in a variety of different neighborhoods in the city where I was surrounded by Thai restaurants (now I'm back in the burbs - blerg) and I have yet to find a Thai restaurant that I like more than Nathan's. The quality and taste of their food is always consistant and it always tastes fresh. My favorite dish by far is their Red Curry, followed by Basil Fried Rice and Pad Thai. Mmmm. read more
