Been coming here for some years now as it's right next to my house. Just recently, they increased price but that's just the reality in a lot of businesses. Chicken, rice, and all ingredients are always fresh! I have gotten the wraps, but my favorite is the special chop. You can choose what type of want, and can add extras for additional price (ex. Shredded cheese or sour cream). Food is good but I do think they need to manage time a bit better. It's just okay. It's close by so it's convenient when I want some rice and chicken but don't want to cook. The location is probably why I still go. I'll say that the food does taste good. I have yet to be disappointed by the taste or quality of the food. The reason I think it's just okay and don't end up giving it more stars is because at least for me there has been inconsistencies with the amount served (despite getting the same size container because obviously the large gets more than the regular size) and the customer service. I've been coming to this place for as long as I could remember. I started out with their natural chop and eventually made my way down the menu to my favorite, the south of the border chop. You can customize as you want from yellow rice, to white, to brown. They have a selection of beans and sauces that accompany your meal with chicken and churrasco coming right off the grill. Been coming here for 10 years or more today is where I draw the line. Yesterday I had ordered Uber eats it was cold the meat was COMPLETELY BURNT. After I said please fresh no burn or least burnt chicken in the notes. (No excuses) then my food came it was horrible, even had raw chicken pieces in it not say it cost 86$ for 3 chopchops on Uber eats.. so again I ordered thinking they made a mistake it comes again on Uber eats another 28$ something and it's more burnt. So today I call and explain because I really do love the food, and I love the people that have been working there for years, i even went to school in the same shopping center but anyways so I tell the Spanish girl on the phone the problem, CLEARLY TOLD HER IVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS. And that I was just venting to her, not that I wanted anything FREE WHICH IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. so I order my normal order and I go to Publix first and instead of checking my food before I got home (MY MISTAKE) my Chicken is completely burnt after I MADE IT SUPER CLEAR TO HER WHAT HAPPEN. Original review: Food wise this place is pretty decent. The chicken is cooked right in front of you and the area looks clean. The establishment itself is pretty clean. My main issue with this place is the service. It is so incredibly slow that it's painful to eat here. The gentlemen cutting the chicken is fast, but the girl preparing the bowl is working as if the restaurant was empty. There were two people in front of us and it took a while 20-25 min to finish the whole process. Mind you, this is the type of restaurant that you order what you want in your bowl and by the time your at the register is supposed to be ready. read more

The food at this location is average but what makes me give it the 2 stars is their terrible customer service. When you try to order from Uber eats they cancel your order and all the sudden become unavailable. This has happened to me personally 3X and at the school where I am at they have experienced the same issue. The people who answer the phone are very unprofessional and lack customer service skills. Note- if you try to order through grub hub (yelp) they actually hike the menu prices so it seems you're ordering food with a lower delivery fee but they make up for it with the surcharges on the food. The rice appears to be parboiled which is nice. Portions are not very big compared to chicken kitchen. It's got a more latin feel than other competing chicken restaurants. I'd describe it as good, wholesome, affordable, and quick. Great for a lunch break. They have a kids deal with a drink for like 5 something, pretty decent portion. I ordered the large special bowl, with the skin and felt satisfied for sure. It's a great spot to pop in for a quick bite for lunch! The cashier lady offered me sauce which is usually free for places like this. She failed to tell me it would be $1 extra per sauce after two sauces. I ended up paying $15 just for myself. Stay away, this place charges an 8% "convenience fee" for using a credit card. So on a large natural chop for 10.99 (which is over priced already for chicken and rice), they charge 79 cents for using a credit card. No signs of this charge anywhere and they don't give you a receipt on purpose so you don't realize it. I forced them to give me a receipt, that's how I found out about this sneaky charge. It's also a great place for a post workout meal, as u will tell by all the hot guys that come in from the nearby gym. They have an array of choices from chops and platters to salads and stuffed pitas, all go great with their curry sauce and their cilantro sauce. They give good amounts of chicken and u will always leave here full and satisfied no matter what u order. I love love love their chicken wrap with their cilantro garlic sauce., yummy chicken heaven!!! The chicken is always fresh and the guy that usually makes my wrap makes it with love... yes, LOVE!!! He cuts the chicken perfectly and puts all the ingredients tightly into my wrap... Once you eat it, nothing comes out... True perfection!!!! They have the usuals... yellow or brown rice, grilled chicken, or teriyaki chicken, as well as salads. Depending on the time you go, it can get a bit crazy and the lines can get really long... so you might be waiting for a bit. This was one of my favorite locations. Now I will never go back. Too many restaurants are using Covid-19 as an excuse to lower there standards and quality. This place has chosen to no longer offer Orange Sesame sauce, It also has stopped offering Snapple in the Glass Bottle, and a poor selection of Snapple drinks as well. These were two of the main reasons I went there. Also, they selectively answer the phone sometimes not at all. My advise to the owners. I have to agree with some of the earlier reviews; drinks running out, line to order your food, and the one sauce. But I was fortunate to arrive and walk straight up to order my food, I asked the cashier about the different sauce flavors and she was very helpful and even let me have an extra sauce to try, although I did not have a drink from the fridge (since I'm on a water hype) they did have some drinks running out; the snapple was tempting. I had the Latin chop which includes your choice of rice (yellow, white, brown), the delicious grilled chicken, your choice of black or pinto, with lettuce and tomato.
