I've never been more satisfied with my gel manicure. Brian is great! I have a dip in my thumb nail and he was nice enough to apply acrylic powder on it to smooth it out for me! The place is ran buy a wonderful and humble couple Brian and Briana (i think O spelled it wrong). The shop itself is okay, could be better, but the quality of work and that they do will surpass a lot of those other fancy nail salons. I definitely recommend this place if you do not want to spend an arm and a leg and want quality work done. both the couple have tremendous work ethic and they pride themselves on their work. It can get pretty busy in there because there are only both of them working there, but they have been able to manage the clients that come in. I recommend to book an appointment. As much as they would like to have other employees, they are looking but it just they want to hire people with the same work this as they do. I love the fact that they are family oriented and they educated you on some of things they are working on. I can tell that the couple know there stuff and that they have years of experience. If I can give no stars I would give it -0 stars. This is the second time I've been here. The first time I came, it literally took them 3 hrs to finish my nails. Brian was working on 3 girls at a time and would go back and forth. That same afternoon my index finger nail came off while I was taking a shower. I figured it was the small amount of glue they put on that nail. So I went back and he said it himself "you were here couple hrs ago" and I explained to him what had happened and he still had the guts to charge me $5. Today I had an appointment at 130 and I'm sitting in a chair still not have been helped what so ever. Literally loved this place, it's not much on the out side but Brian and his wife are suuuuper sweet and nice, my nails look amazing! She gave me tips on how to take care of my polish and how it would last longer. PROS: -I was able to make a same day appointment -Honored my appointment when I arrived on time -Very attentive mani/pedi with great attention to detail -Awesome prices ($25 for a gel mani w/French tip and $13 for a regular pedi) -Nice manager -Accepts credit cards. you'll have to tel them ahead of time if you want to add a tip on the card though. Onto the not so positive... Cons: -I arrived at 5:45 PM for my appointment and did not leave there util 8:15 PM - yep, AFTER closing! It took 2 1/2 hours to get a gel manicure and pedicure. Let me stress: TWO AND HALF HOURS! Unless this includes a Thai massage and bikini wax, this is unacceptable. It should have taken an hour, 1 1/2 hours MAX. But TWO AND HALF HOURS?? I've seen soy sauce move faster up a hill. I initially wasn't in a hurry, but I did have places to go. I was not expecting it to take so long. -No mention of why this had to be one manicurist/pedicurist at a time. Get the ball rolling, people! If you don't have the staff to do a mani/pedi, just say, so I can go somewhere that will do a faster job. to the girl who left a review about being rushed, consider yourself lucky. -Time is money, and I felt like I lost the money saved going to such an inexpensive place -Unengaging staff. -In a kind of ghetto area. The staff is kind and friendly and the customer service is outstanding. I arrived 5 minutes early to my appointment and they took me the minute I walked in, so that was great. I got french white tips full set w/ a design & a gel top coat for $25 so the price as well as the quality is fantastic! I also got a pedicure and the lady who did it was very intricate and took her time in cleaning out my feet the right way. All in all, this place is fantastic and even though I'm living in Downtown Long Beach, which is about 25 min. away from this place, I'll definitely be doing the drive to return at least twice a month!!! read more

Brian? Hilarious. I'm not the type of person to talk to my nail artist, I'll be frank. I'm the type who checks her phone any chance she gets and sits there. But Brian was just so easy to talk to, I was seriously cracking up the whole time. Why I appreciate his service so much? I came in wanting a full coffin set. But I work a full time desk job where I'm constantly typing, so I asked for a shorter set. He was completely upfront with me and told me that it would not be worth it to me to get a full coffin set with short nails because it wouldn't look as good and he wouldn't feel right charging me for the shaping. He suggested just a full set with square round and just paying for the full set. And the sweetheart that he is, he actually shaped it coffin proportionately and not over doing it according to my desired length. Not only that, but you can really tell this guy has been doing this forever; he did such a nice job in such a short amount of time. I think I just found my new nail haven. read more
