The service here is excellent. Our server/bartender was super attentive. The drinks (CB Sunset) were quite good. The hot dogs are great, I just wished they offered more vegetarian options. I went with a turkey dog, and my husband had the beef one. We both got a Carolina dog (chili, mustard, coleslaw). The hot dog buns are big and fluffy, and the homemade chips are very tasty. It was empty on a weekday at lunch time, but I would guess this place gets very busy on summer nights and weekends.

Cute hot dog joint by the beach!! A perfect choice if you want a simple, quick bite before running back to the beach. Our server was so friendly and efficient. The outdoor sitting area even has an ocean view :)

My friend's vegan hotdog and my beef hotdog looked and tasted identical. They were both gross and a weird texture so we couldn't even tell whether we both got vegan or both got beef. Their relish was also weirdly bright blue?? It stained the napkins. It must have been filled with food dye for some bizarre reason. Do not recommend.

We were looking for a place with outside seating since we had our food with us on the way out of town. Nauti Dog had just what we were looking for on the menu. The staff were really friendly - Brennan took time out of his pre-opening routine to pet our dog and welcome us, and Traci was a wonderful server - I was really impressed by her ability to memorize our entire order. She's definitely more than a pretty face We all really enjoyed our food. Sizable portions, and very tasty. One thing to note - we have a weakness for pretzel bites, and this was some of the best beer cheese we've ever had! Tip: don't plan on sitting outside for lunch. The shade only covers half the table. It was still fun sitting to eat while hearing the sounds of the beach and people walking by.

Under new management and the founding owner sold out. I waited several months for it to reopen. What a disappointment. First it wasn't very busy. I should say it could have been but most parties came in, sat down and were never acknowledged and left after 5 min. I wish I could comment on the food no one ever came to take my order. I saw 1 order come out in the 40 min I was there. The cook was hanging around talking with the manager or owner out front. All I saw the manager or owner do was drink booze and laugh with the staff. When Michael started the restaurant he and his wife were working the tables and kitchen as needed. What a change. The vibe has been stripped from the place. Just gambling machines, dart boards replace the tables and cool nautical themed art. To sum up my review I see this one awesome place to be nothing more than a classless beer liquor joint now. What a great experience then walk a block to the Sandspur. See my review of it.

Casual hot dog spot with delicious hot dogs. I ordered the classic Carolina Hot Dog and it was fantastic. It came with an order of fresh cut fries that were piping hot. My niece had a classic hot dog with a pickle on the side and she enjoyed it as well. They have small out door bar seating and indoor seating. I would definitely come back to try their Chicago Dog and a cocktail or two. If you are in the Carolina Beach Boardwalk area, you must visit this spot. You can also purchase takeout so you can snack on your meal at the beach. There was only one waitress managing the entires restaurant, which was impressive since she was attentive and prompt.

Nauti Dog is the most exceptional hot dog place ever with vegetarian & exotic hot dog entrees to try. Their menu was very extensive. I had an Asian version of a hot dog and wish I had tried the Carolina hot dog instead. My hot dog was good yet I wish I had went traditional. Their onion rings were the favorite part of my meal. Nice staff and customer service. The place was clean and pleasant. Love their tee shirts and the ambience. No crowds and no lines. My companions loved their chili and Carolina hot dogs. Parking was free during that month. This will be a definite go see again & lunch place for me.

Great variety. The nachos were spot on and flavorful. The hot dogs are tasty and lots of fresh ingredients. Peach Bellini was pretty good too!

Cute little restaurant right in Carolina Beach. Got there right before the lunch rush and got a seat right away. I love the set up of the place and how bright and beach it is Inside. The service was great but they were definitely understaffed. Once we ordered there was about a 45 minute wait. I started with the nauti mermaid drink. It was really good. It was the perfect balance of pineapple juice and Malibu and wasn't too sweet. I wasn't in the mood for a hot dog so I ordered the Italian beef sandwich. They were out of fries so I got the house chips. The chips were a little Smokey and bland. I would have liked them to be saltier and not as thick. The beef sandwich was good but so small for $11. Everyone's food was just ok. I wish it was a little more flavorful and that the portions were larger.

The beau and I came to Carolina Beach for our vacation and our first stop was Nauti Dog! I chose the Nauti dog (beef hotdog w/bacon, beer cheese, spicy mustard on pretzel bun) and my fiancé chose the Carolina dog (beef hotdog w/chili, yellow mustard, slaw on brioche bun). And I must say our choices were delicious! For me, the pretzel bun is what sold it! The fries were okay, so if possible, try something different! Like the onion rings! 9/10 best place for pickup!

Nauti dog exceeded all expectations! The atmosphere was so fun- updated, clean, cute decorations and our server was so nice! We had a group of 7 (I would say it's best for groups of 4 or less but we happened to get the large table). I ordered one of their slushy drinks & our server talked through everything on the menu & gave suggestions which was SO helpful and nice. After much debate, I went with the Nauti dog & it did not disappoint! The beer cheese was creamy, not overbearing and had great flavor. My friends raved about the Carolina and Chicago dog. The pretzel bun was *chefs kiss*! Will definitely be back! This is the perfect lunch staple for Carolina Beach!!

Visited Nauti Dog for a philanthropy event. They are not officially open yet so this was like a soft opening. It is run by the former owners of Jack's Retreat Beer Garden and Dog House and a new partner at a new location right around the corner from their old location. The new location is located right on the boardwalk, ocean front. The interior is a cute, simple beachy style. They have indoor table seating and bar seating. Alcohol offerings are beer, wine, and cocktails. You can choose a specialty hot dog or create your own. They offer gluten-free buns for an additional cost and lettuce cups in place of buns. For vegetarians, they have veggie dogs and Beyond brats. Appetizers/starters include nachos, wings, fried avocado slices, pretzels with beer cheese, chicken salad in lettuce cups, gouda pimento cheese with pork rinds. I ordered a Create my own hot dog with a turkey hot dog, spicy mustard, roasted red peppers, dill relish, sauerkraut, and gouda pimento cheese. The hot dog bun was over-toasted just a little. My hot dog was okay. I wish I got what my partner ordered instead. My partner ordered the Nauti Dog, which is a beef hot dog with bacon, beer cheese, and spicy mustard in a pretzel bun. He also added dill pickle relish and sauerkraut. This hot dog was so good compared to mine. The side for the hot dogs is automatically housemade chips but you can choose other sides instead. Other sides are coleslaw, cucumber tomato salad or for an additional cost, you can get fries, onion rings, superfood slaw, or broccoli rabe. The fries were delicious and crispy, seasoned with a Cajun-like seasoning. The coleslaw was okay, light and fresh, more of a vinegar-based slaw. The hot dogs with the sides were substantial meals, pretty filling. When the hot dogs arrived, they forgot the requested additional ingredients on my partner's hot dog and the cheese on mine. When I asked for the cheese, they put shredded cheddar cheese instead of the gouda pimento cheese I ordered. Apparently, their POS system had some issues in entering ingredients that caused the miscommunication in our orders. The hot dogs also took at least 25 minutes to arrive. They offered to remake our hot dogs but after the long wait, I didn't want to bother. The owners graciously comped our meal, which we were very appreciative of. They also were receptive to our feedback on their food. We definitely want to come back and try their other options, like the bacon aioli.

If you're looking for one of those places where everything just lines up--the weather, the food,…read morethe mood--this is it. Out on the pier at Tiki Bar & Ocean Grill, you've got a front-row seat to the Atlantic, and on a day like today, it doesn't get much better. Blue sky, sun hitting the water just right, and a breeze that reminds you why people have been coming to the coast long before fancy resorts showed up. Food Simple answer: they've got it dialed in. Fresh, well-prepared, and exactly what you want at the beach. No overthinking it--just good coastal food done right. That's how it's supposed to be. Service Friendly, easygoing, and attentive without hovering. The kind of service that makes you feel welcome but doesn't interrupt your view--or your drink. Atmosphere This is where they really win. Sitting out over the water with string lights overhead and waves rolling in? That's hard to beat anywhere. Now, yes--the beach itself has those big metal pipes running through for replenishment. Not exactly postcard material. But here's the truth: once you're up on that pier, looking out over the ocean, it barely matters. The view still does what it's supposed to do--makes you slow down and stay a while. Final Take Great food, solid service, and a view that carries the whole experience. Even with the beach work going on, this place delivers what a coastal spot should: good eats, cold drinks, and a reason to sit a little longer than you planned. If the weather's right, don't overthink it--grab a seat, order something simple, and enjoy it the way folks have been doing for generations.

I was told that the pier is no longer dog friendly because people are drinking to much and it isn't…read moresafe for the dogs or the customers. So just be advised if you want to take your pup. Food is average. Drinks are ok View is great. Food and drinks are better at the Carolina beach pier. Employees are a lot friendlier too. Sorry.
