Open face Reuben with pastrami - hearty!
    Jess L.

My family and I got an early weekend dinner here. I'd say the diner was about 20% full around 5pm on a Sunday. The kid options are very good. We got a good pasta and breakfast item (pancakes) for two toddlers, and there was enough to bring home. You do not need to order extra fries! My Reuben with pastrami was really hearty. I'd definitely order again. Overall, you are likely to get overwhelmed by the menu options, so I'd recommend checking out the menu ahead of time.

My go-to diner in the area. Huge menu, friendly staff, and great prices. Food is good and comes quickly, even when they are busy. They also stay open late on weekends.

Such a great place to get food! Yes it's diner food but it's still amazing! I ordered a bacon cheese burger and it came perfectly! Lots of fries and the burger wasn't dried out or "cheap tasting" The servers are a little slow sometimes but other than that the place has a HUGE selection of food and drinks! Would recommend :)

French toast, western avocado wrap, gluten free pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon
    Greta S.

The gluten free pancakes were delicious, absolutely no complaints there. I can't speak to if it is celiac safe or if they practice proper protocols but I myself did not have any issues after eating them. The eggs were a bit rubbery and weird, as well as the bacon, despite me asking for it crispy, which is why I am giving only 4 stars. Things that wouldn't deter me from going back but something to note. My bf enjoyed both the French toast and wrap with no critiques.

I like this diner, I have been here a few times, and most recently had a pretty pleasant experience. The food is traditional diner, and there is a great variety of options. My family and I enjoyed our meals and we were able to sample the pancakes, eggs, huevos rancheros, and croissants. The space is so nice and was decorated for Halloween. The staff are friendly and easy to work with. There was a mistake with my order and they fixed right away. Bathrooms are also clean as well and overall I had a great experience and would definitely return. Parking can be a bit limited, we were there on a Sunday around 10:30am. After we left the lunch rush line was getting to the door so I'd be cautious about that. Overall, it was a great time!

Very standard diner, but in a good way. You know exactly what you're going to be getting by going there and it's awesome!

There is a beautiful mural on the wall with boats in the ocean. The lighting was great with a mixture from the sunlight. This place has notable potential for improvement in all areas. I will start with the menu which showed a limited amount of breakfast items for a restaurant. It took me a while to decide because I did not see anything that stood out. I ordered a hot tea; the water was almost lukewarm. The waitress was wearing a face mask, but it was under her nose, and she was coughing. I ask her for more hot water after she took my order and she kind of snapped at me and told me to wait. I think, if they had someone walking around to replenish hot water and coffee, I would not have asked her. I wasn't too pleased with that. I ordered a garden skillet, and my friend ordered the steak and egg skillet. Some people will say that hashbrowns are the same, but I say they are not. It is a preference for me. I don't prefer cubed hashbrowns. It is like apples; they look the same but aren't. and they taste different. The taste was mediocre and plane. I also had eggs over easy. I ordered turkey sausages, but it did not come at the same time as the food, but I dare not say anything or else. In felt like going somewhere different and I did just that, went somewhere different.

Walking in I was properly greeted and seated immediately. This place looks like a large cafeteria with a lot of windows. The server came over and I requested hot tea with lemon and honey. He came back with all that I asked for except for the main ingredient...The TEA BAG. From that point it just did not feel right, instead of getting up and leaving, I asked for another waiter. Another waiter turned this entire experience around. I ordered a vegetable omelet which came with home fries and toast. I did not like the home fries in the past because they were organic, no fluff, no extra, just straight up cubed potatoes. The changes made this meal well worth the trip. The homes fries have onions and peppers, a big plus for me, so the home fries did not disappoint. The omelet consisted of broccoli, onions, and mushroom. I was offered hot sauce to spruce up the taste and give it a kick. I do believe and always will believe that the server can make or break the experience. I now have BLD on the list of places to go. Good job Lazario for converting this review from a 2 star to a 4.5 star but rounded up to 5 stars. Inspire more, Yelp more!

They have onsite parking . I was greeted upon arrival by the hostess and immediately seated. They have a mixture of booth and tables. The diner looked clean. I saw a waiter bus the table after someone left. They cleaned the tables, chairs, and swept the floor. I find that some places forget to sweep after customers and I hate to step on food so I was glad to see that being done. My server was kind and attentive throughout my visit. I ordered the country skillet with soft scrambled eggs and pancakes. The country skillet is delicious. Crisp home fries, assortment of veggies alongside bite sized pieces of bacon. The eggs were exactly how I like them. Most diners overcook them even when asking for soft scrambled. I would definitely recommend this dish. Unfortunately I didn't like the pancakes. The texture seemed off, almost gritty like and I couldn't get past it. So I took one star off for that. Both dishes were large portions and could be split easily by two people. Overall I would recommend this diner and I plan to come back again.

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience.
