Well, I'd say the best thing about this place is that it's open 24 hours. So if you can't find any other place that is open, this one is... We got plain French Toast, French Toast Monte Cristo, and the Crab Cake Sandwich with fries. The fries were the favored item. Service was okay. Visited this place 30 oct 2015. I must admit they did a great job with the halloween decorations... wish they could have done the same with the food. Ordered farmers omlette... eggs came out extremely well done and dry. The potatoes seemed under cooked. Also had the pumpkin pancakes and seemed it was heavy in the flour because the pancakes were thick to chew. Buddy ordered the buffalo wings... not enough meat on the chicken. This is one of my favorite diners in the new Rochelle/larchmont area. Forget getting your wings at bdubs, you got to try the wings here! They're delicious! They're open 24 hours a day and have a huge menu! I tend to lean towards breakfast food when I go to a diner but these guys make a mean eggplant parm. Be warned, portion sizes are huge so if you're not terribly hungry, don't order that appetizer! They have OK wines for a diner. Nothing special. Nautilus has beautiful decor throughout which is visually beautiful & I appreciate the way this diner is well kept, and tidy. My favorite dish, that I have all the time here is the florentine omelette. I would recommend this to anyone. I also love the eggs benedict, and the espresso, and the cheese cake. This is our new go to diner in the area. We previously went to BLD diner since it was a little closer to our house, but it got worse with each visit. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad and my husband had a burger. Both were good, service was good and prices are what you expect in this area. The menu is large and has so much to choose from, I will have to try some of their specials in the future to see how they do with those. If you're reading this and thinking of trying a diner in the area, go to either Mamaroneck or BLD Diner. I'll be direct, here is a list of things that are consistently bad: - Order accuracy -- every single time, something is wrong. - Stale bread -- they have no issue taking stale bread, heating it, and serving it to you. - Terrible waiters -- pretty self explanatory. To get more specific, some are quite rude and some others will flat out forget that you're there. Every time I decided to give this diner another try, the misery of eating there is refunded to me shortly after being seated. This diner is the best. It has been my first choice when I don't feel like going to far from home. This has been my choice since they tore down the New Rochelle diner and replaced it with Walgreens. It is always clean, staff is friendly and the wait staff are awesome and always have a smile. You are usually seated pretty fast. The best time is in the morning during the week. Although, we were almost bombarded once with the high school kids. I'm assuming they were from Mamaroneck High. The food is always amazing and consistent. Prices are decent and they give you a nice serving. Place is spacious, plenty of room to move around and not have people staring in your face or plate. Nice size parking lot. Staff is consistent. Well located, easy to find and to park. We went there last Saturday evening, table of 9. The waiter made it easy for us, knowing that the Dinner was almost empty. I should have known better. My Cheeseburger with jalapenos was kind of strange: Excellent meat quality, nice taste, would have been so much better if it was not cold. French fries were just OK. My friends who ordered Eggs Benedict hated them and did not even eat half of it. The overall feedback was that the cook must have been on vacation. A man who appeared to be the manager observed this and so did the cashier but they did nothing to get my servers attention. He took my order and disappeared. Went twice. First time was very good--attentive service and good food. Tried it a 2nd time for lunch and what a 180. Ordered chicken souvlaki and chicken cordon bleu panini. Instead of panini was given Cuban panini. Told waiter who went to the kitchen and after about 10 minutes came back and asked how did it taste. Said fine but not what I ordered. He said he knew but that's what the kitchen made and disappeared again. Chicken souvlaki was awful. Rubbery frozen chicken pan fried instead of grilled, a salad dressing like honey mustard instead of Greek and tziki sauce that was thick and didn't seem like tziki. When paying the check was asked how everything was and replied honestly was told sorry and there was no effort to make it right. Won't be returning. That lunch with tip was $50 and mine was gross and his wasn't what he wanted to eat. Complete waste. The McDonalds across the street is a better, more economical option. read more
