When I look for Mexican restaurants I always look at the reviews of food and pics of the tortillas. And this place makes their tortillas from scratch. We have eaten both inside for dinner and gotten to go breakfast tacos. It's AUTHENTIC Mexican food not the typical TexMex. And personally texmex is NOT real Mexican food. They do have some texmex items. When I eat at restaurant I look around to see the customers. For example, Asian restaurant if you look around the customers are majority Asians then you know it will be good. This restaurants were a ton of Hispanics all speaking Spanish to their server when ordering. Service is amazing. It does take some time but I'm patient and willing to wait so I know my food isn't microwaved. The Tripa and Al pastor is out of this world. Tripa fried just perfect with that crunch texture! Their Mexican rice uhhhhmaaazziinnggg. Their red salsa is spicyyyyy how I like it with my tacos. They have horchatos there as well haven't tried it yet but next trip I will! read more

Authentic fresh Mexican food. We have ordered food to-go to many times to count. We ordered during the pandemic and have been every since. Its a staple for our family. We typically get 2 orders of the Tex-Mex enchiladas one ground beef and other chicken. I like the taco dinner with ground beef and my SO always gets the chimichanga ground beef and queso on top. Everything is always fresh and you can tell its made to order. Love their chips and salsa, the green sauce is very hot. My only complaint would be there isnt a to-go menu and the one posted online doesnt seem to have everything they carry. Please publish a full menu online. read more

Ordered through Uber Eats. Order took over an hour and a half on a Wednesday at 4:30 pm. Restaurant was only 4 miles from my home. I got the taco plate - hard shells with beef. By the time I got it, it was basically taco soup and cold. The shells were so soggy. Overall wasn't impressed with the quality here. read more

We will definitely be going back on-a regular basis when this COVID Crap is over! Our waitress Leslie was so sweet, attentive and professional. I especially loved the ambiance's feel. The delicious food is served on beautiful authentic dinnerware which made my coffee ( with a hint of cinnamon) just that more delicious! Breakfast tacos are good. They used to be amazing when they made their own flour tortillas but they stopped doing that and it was pretty disappointing. Fajita plate is yummy and the queso is good as well. When I get to go I usually prefer my own chips though because theirs are store bought and not great. read more

Nothing fancy. Meat was dry from being over cooked/overheated one too many times. Store bought chips. Asked for extra cheese and was charged $2! Definitely not going back. Taco Bell food is better than this place. Also...LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT before you pay. We were charged gratuity for 4 people!!!! And then we were asked for a tip after. We're not dumb lady!!! Great gem and very flavorful. Their salsa is homemade and the food was really good. I'm a queso snob and was a little surprised when it said "cheese dip." None the less it was really good and will definitely be back again. Service was very friendly and fast. The sweet tea was really sweet and didn't taste old and bitter. Overall wouldn't recommend for larger group 8+, but it's okay for family of four. Have eaten here several times in the evening. It is generally pretty empty. The food is pretty middle of the road; neither the best or the worst Tex-Mex. With how empty it normally is I think it's just hard for the staff to work with a larger group. Corn tortillas are made there, flour aren't. Nice decorations on the walls. read more

coming from the san francisco bay area this place has the best-- actually the only good burritos in all of texas. i have lived in texas for coming on four years now searching for at least a decent burrito and this place saved my life. my first time trying this place was five days ago and ive already been here three times. it's on the way home from my class so ill continue coming here for sure. the service is always good too and the ambiance is great it's a nice big space. but yea anyways the giant carne asada burrito definitely recommend and there's a great paleteria next door too. 10/10 read more

Let's first say, I don't typically review restaurants. This is a must. The margaritas were "frozen". They made them in a blender. The alcohol was nearly non-existant. We overheard the couple behind us complaining about that also as they had to order a shot of tequila to put into her margarita. At $12.00 a piece that's outrageous. The food....we ordered ground beef Nachos Supreme. The food was lukewarm/room temperature at best. Hands down, the worst nachos I have ever had. They were so soggy, I had to eat them with a knife and fork unless I grabbed a chip from the bowl of chips to put under the nacho. I highly recommend saving your money and going elsewhere. The food is decent, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. From communication failure (language barrier) to VERY slow service, it is just very hard to have an enjoyable dinner here. I will never return to This location. Ordered a large menudo. I then asked the lady if they served pigs feet. She said yes so I asked for that to be in my order. I then followed up with 1 meat taco. And a water cup. When my food was brought to me I observed the broth to be an orange - reddish color. No authentic menudo should ever be orange. Also didn't see the pigs feet in the dish. Which is fine, But I feel servers should know what's going on in their kitchens. Especially when the place claims to be "authentic" serving "authentic dishes. Not to mention the quantity of the menudo was very poor. I had maybe one small handful inside my large bowl when I went to go pay my bill was $27 for one large menudo a water and one taco. I also saw additional charges for pigs feet, and I wasn't even served it, when I tried to dispute the charge, the lady said they were not going to remove it because I had was served salsa on my table. This company has money, hungry and doesn't care about their customer from what it seems and only wants the dollar. read more

Well had to try it since Dos Salsas is out of the question. Menudo was better here and the they have fresh bolillo toasted was great. So I wanted and pick me up so I ordered a margarita the rocks and mans it was big and done right not weak at all. For 8.95 was well worth it was expected to pay 10. This place had 4.5 stars and was so disappointed when we got here. We asked for queso. 20 mins later or so still no queso. Asked about it and finally got it another 10 mins later. My daughter asked for beef fajita enchiladas to only have the manager say they cannot make that. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant who can't make that. Then after a discussion with the manager, there was still some type of miscommunication to only have them bring my daughter a plate of fajitas, cheese sauce, and flour tortillas which they explained that my daughter was to make her own enchiladas that the new chef didn't know how to make it. Btw... the queso was too over priced. $8.99. Just very disappointed in this restaurant because we are out of town and we love experiencing new restaurants when we travel. Not this one. It's one of those places off the beaten path that you don't want to share because you don't want others to find out how amazing it is. The service is outstanding. Real ownership you can tell. The dishes are authentic and potions are nice. Chairs are considerably worn and you can tell it's a favorite for locals but don't be intimidated just go on it and order. If I could leave 0 stars I would. We checked in at the front (Sunday lunch time) and they said it would be a 15-20 min wait. It was not busy, just very small. We let them know we would wait outside as the restaurant is very small. People checked in after us and decided to wait inside. After 25 min I went to see how much longer and the people who checked in after us were seated and order taken. They were the same party size as us. I let them know we were outside (by the window) and they said we could wait for an additional 10 min. We told them no and left. Completely unacceptable. read more

We just moved from out of town and this place is right down the street from us and boy are we happy! The customer service is great! The soft corn Al Pastor tacos are delicious! They're made with handmade tortillas! Who does that? Amazing! The Chile macha was spicy and delicious! Enchiladas Rojas with picadillo were ok, they needed some macha salsa for sure. Tamales were just like moms tamales which I appreciate! Oh and the chips and queso are soooo good! We will be back for sure! read more
