This place is amazing, a true hidden gem for Albuquerque. We tried the steamed dumplings, the Yang zhou rice and the spicy Szechuan chicken and each dish was delicious - the rice was not overly seasoned so the flavors of the vegetables could shine and the chicken was perfectly spicy and the perfect amount of light crunch to the pieces. A pleasant surprise. I've been looking for a new good Chinese food restaurant and I think we found it. We arrived about 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon after 18 on the golf course. We were hungry. Prompt service with a smile. We ordered the chicken fried rice, shrimp with mixed vegetables and sichuan chicken, oh and iced tea. The fried rice was very good, a nice flavor profile from something that can sometimes be nondescript. Next arrived the shrimp with veg, yummy. A light garlic flavor with veg cooked perfectly. Finally the sichuan chicken. I was a little afraid to order this although I do like heat sometimes. The waiter assured me it was only slightly hot. Agreed, it was only slightly hot, next time I'll ask to kick it up a notch. It wax quite good and I left full, no leftovers. Thank you for an enjoyable dining afternoon. read more

Over priced. $65.00 for 3 people for lunch is ridiculous. Entrées were brought out individually, I'm guessing owners wife is the only cook. Possibly one burner stove? I was impressed with this restaurant's ratings, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered beef chow fun, a large hot and sour soup and eggrolls. The entrée and the soup were excellent. The eggrolls were really spring rolls and they weren't crispy at all. In fact, they were kind of soggy. Had they been prepared as expected, it would've been a five star rating. read more

We ordered takeout while visiting Albuquerque and liked the food so much that we ordered takeout a second time a few nights later. I am really fussy about Sichuanese food having spent time in both Chongqing and Chengdu in the past (and I loved the food in those cities), plus I live in NYC and can get great regional Chinese food in Flushing - and Neo Szechuan really hit the mark. We had the beef noodle soup - really good, and the double cooked pork with cabbage which was spicy and had great pork but suffered a little from being takeout because the cabbage got too soft. My husband had the Sichuan shredded pork and also reported it as being good. But best of all was the Hot and Sour soup, which isn't really a Sichuan dish, but no matter - it was the best I have had in years. Thick, rich, spicy, yum! After several days of admittedly good New Mexican restaurants, this place was a welcome change. read more

Not great, has a lot of potential but missed it big time. 3 stars because maybe we got it on an off night? I'm eating take out right now. The orange chicken is delicious but mostly just breading, not much chicken. The ma po tofu had good reviews but is way over flavored with ginger or oregano or something, we can't even eat it. Plus it needs veggies or something other tofu and sauce. Beef and broccoli is good. Our take out did not come with any hot sauce or soy sauce. I guess you have to ask for that now? Why wasn't it offered? Not to mention my husband had to call me and verify the order because they would not give him the order that was in my name. Apparently someone could know there is an order in my name and steal it? I don't know, maybe that's a thing, somehow. Anyway. Benefit of the doubt it was an off night, but we weren't impressed. read more

After moving from the Bay Area and searching and searching for some of that sweet sweet Mala style Szechuan spice, we finally found a place that can deliver. We love spicy Chinese food and this place r has some of the best in Albuquerque. Plus they are very nice and eager to please. read more

This food is outstanding. I've been there a dozen or so times since they opened and have never been disappointed. If you ask, they will make the food really hot and spicy. My go-to's are shredded pork Szechuan, chicken Szechuan, fried chicken, fried rice, fish and tofu hot pot, and their shredded potatoes (Chinese French Fries.) My wife loves their orange beef. Their spicy pork dumplings come bathed in a wonderful sauce. I try to get there every other week or so. The restaurant is operated by a lovely family. They are a great addition to the Albuquerque restaurant scene. read more

The food was great and plentiful....we took out an order of Kung Pow Beef 15.95, and General Tso's Chicken 13.95.......what stood out immediately was the tenderness of both the chicken and the beef...incredibly tender beer, which one often doesn't find in this dish in my experience....good veggies..very similar in both dishes...notable that the onions were purple onions, a taste and health plus...... because of seemingly low fluency in English, we were not able to ask questions on the phone about ingredients....but dishes are numbered, which was very helpful....I do not eat pork, and was not able to ascertain via the phone whether it was used in a dish.... but, despite this, we got the right "numbers" and loved it....plenty for two meals in each entre for us...ample average white rice........the place so spotless it could be felt inthe air.. It will be our place for Asian food.....will try other dishes next time and am confident that I won't be disappointed... read more

I recommend their curry beef and their spicy boiled beef. 10/10 I also cannot eat regular take out fried rice anymore after eating the Yang Zhou Fried Rice. It is godly! Saw this place on my walk yesterday and thought we should try it! Wow am I glad we did. Service was great and food was excellent! Some tables inside - very clean. We ordered the vegetable egg rolls, came out smoking hot and perfectly fried. Also had General Tao's Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Both were the best I have had in ABQ. The beef was incredibly tender. The food here is very good I really like the way the presentation of the food is. However, when it comes to the financial transactions they need a cashier that speaks clear English and does not over jump the gun when asking for a receipt at the end of the transaction that's the only issue that I have other than that this place is wonderful the people are friendly the food is good and it's in a good location. read more
