I've driven by here for years and finally had the opportunity to drop in. Parking is metered street, valet, or residential streets a block+ away is an hour (read the signs). Sat at the bar surrounded by those who were with friends or business colleagues. The restroom is upstairs, accessible by elevator or a stairway outside of the restaurant. Quite a few things on the menu stood out, but I decided to go with the Linguine alla Nerano, $34. I finished most of this, but ended up taking a small portion of it to go since it was pretty good. Bread is brought out if requested. I have to be honest and say I guess since I was looking forward to coming here for so long, I expected more and felt a little let down. Maybe in the evening for dinner is the time to come, so I'm not sure what I was anticipating, but it's not a place I would rush back to. However, I would certainly return if someone else suggested Nerano since service across the board from the hostess to bartenders was attentive, no complaints there. Solid 3-stars with room to grow.

Nice Italian restaurant, try the special tonight, seafood pasta and it was really good. Someone in our group also had the orrecietti with sausage and rabi and really like it. Two others had pizza and said it wasn't great. The service was good and friendly.

The place looks wonderful with nice white tablecloths and great friendly waiter. They have bottled water product of Italy. The orecchiette pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe was good. They made it creamy and green. Broccoli rabe and sausage was cut very small. I didn't care for either of the pizzas we got. The principessa pizza was with prosciutto but the smell was just bad. The other pizza I didn't care for at all. I didn't try the desserts although others did and said they were good. The pizza was enough of an experience for me.

Crispy provolone and Parmigiana di Melanzane

Had such a great dinner at Nerano. The yellowtail crudo was fresh and bright, and the focaccia with whipped ricotta was honestly addictive (I think we ended up ordering 3 of them). Both the mushroom pappardelle and artichoke ravioli were amazing -- rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Beef cheek agnolotti was another favorite with our group. The vibe was classy but comfortable, and the staff was attentive the whole night. Big shoutout to Oliver -- he was fantastic and really made the experience memorable. I'll definitely be back

Food was absolutely amazing. Chef sam came out to describe the dishes for us. Our server was attentive and aware. Thinking of renting out the top floor room for our next corporate event! Parking was also easy!

I was so excited to try this place because everything looked so good. But I was so disappointed with every dish. The yellowtail appetizer was good, but the crudo trio was way too fishy. The cesar salad wasn't bad, but it was super small - more like a side salad. The gnudi/gnocchi was not good - it was very heavy on the pesto and truffle. It's weird to mix the two flavors and they were both strong. Not a fan. We had a vegan pasta that was decent and simple. The bolognese was also ok. The diavola pizza was terrible. It was floppy and too saucy, and had no salame. They claimed that it was in the sauce. The best part of the night was the chocolate hazelnut dessert. That was delicious. The Panna Cota and the sorbet were just alright. On top of this all, service was terrible. Our server barely paid any attention to us. He failed to write our order down properly. Sad to say I won't be back :/

What an amazing restaurant and delicious menu from the great chef Michele Lisi of various Italian cuisine mostly of Southern influence. I was in heaven! Incredible hidden gem with great romantic ambiance. Wonderful service and great food! We chose indoor dining but there is an incredible outdoor patio in the back if you wish for outdoors. I even saw the amazing Diane Keaton this evening who I absolutely love!

The best dining experience in Beverly Hills I've ever had!…read more From the moody decor to the food to the service, everything was so well curated and refined. The caviar omakase is the must order thing here. Everything is very small bites, but if you are mostly there for drinks then à la carte is a good option. The omakase was fantastic - nice sized portions of caviar, paired with thoughtful items like a mini lobster roll, a salmon burger, and even ice cream. The drinks are also delightful - you can taste the notes of every ingredient and nothing was too overpowering or unbalanced. But the service is by far the main reason we'll be back. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, on top of being knowledgeable and presenting the menu in a well practiced way. They made this birthday dinner so special and went above and beyond. They do automatically add gratuity but I would've tipped more than that if possible. Incredible spot in Beverly Hills and more private and tucked away than some of the overly packed tourist destinations.

We ended up at the Maybourne Bar in the Maybourne hotel, a solid B+ lobby bar that I'd visit again under similar circumstances. The space was attractive but the vibe was strange, if not uncomfortable. Just weirdly bright lighting and a different crowd from the usual L.A. bar scene (hotel, Beverly Hills). It was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. Service was fast and polite. We ordered a Midas Touch and a Big in Japan, both decent cocktails that cost a full $30 apiece. The Midas Touch was a colorful spicy margarita with El Tesoro Maybourne Edition Reposado, Empirical Ayuuk, Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, saffron, lemon, and honey. Big in Japan was a Gold Rush variation with Hibiki Harmony, sudachi honey, lemon, sansho pepper, and yuzu bitters. There are better, more interesting cocktail bars all over L.A., but I'd recommend the Maybourne Bar if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise looking for an upscale bar in downtown Beverly Hills. You can get food, too, though most of it seems to involve caviar.

My friend and I were a bit boozed out from the night before, so we stuck with a handful of sharable platters including California rolls and ceviche, all tasted amazing. Nothing was too heavy and the portions were all manageable, not too small or too large. The outdoor seats were very cushy and comfortable, it's perfect for sitting with your fur baby, and the restaurant provided water bowls upon request as well. Servers were all really friendly and the food did not take long to come out, though it wasn't too busy that Sunday afternoon around 3pm. Drinks were the highlight--great martinis and well-made cocktails. That said, our bill was over $600, and none of us left full. Portions are tiny. Go for drinks and ambiance, but I'd skip the food.

BLAT (3/5): fries were good, but the sandwich itself was very basic and didn't have much flavor, could use garlic aioli. Tiramisu (1/5): I love tiramisu and this was the worst one I've ever had, they need to fix the mascarpone cream flavor. Overall this place is just for the vibes, it would be good for happy hour or going for a drink at sunset. Food is very overpriced and wasn't a fan of the automatic 20% gratuity. We came to Matū for the Dinner for Two, and everything we were served was impeccable. The seasoning was spot on, the salt level was perfect, and every cut of meat was cooked beautifully. I'm a big fan of my steak on the rarer side, and Matū absolutely delivered. The braised beef cheek was probably the highlight of the night for me. It was unbelievably tender, rich, and one of the most memorable bites of the meal. After finishing the Dinner for Two, which really showcased the quality of the meat, we decided to split a cheesesteak since "that's what they're known for." When it arrived, it looked incredible. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended for me. The meat tasted oddly oily. I'm not sure if it was the cut, the preparation, or even the cheese, but it came across as heavy and greasy compared to the beautifully simple, clean flavors of the steak dinner. It was also underseasoned, and I found myself tasting the sesame seeds on the bread more than the filling itself. The chips were fresh and crunchy at first, but they lost their texture surprisingly quickly, so eat those immediately. Overall, I absolutely loved the steaks, sides, and cocktails, and I'll happily be back for those. But as for the cheesesteak? Once was more than enough.
