Was searching for dizi on yelp and this location popped out. The photo of dizi in copper container got me so I asked my hubby to give this location a try. I normally like dizi to not being mashed since I am so picky about the fat that all of the restaurants are adding to dizi to give it better taste. Also, I like to take a bite from potato, garbanzo beens and white beans individually. We ordered "Kashk Bademjoon" and Dizzi. Although all were delicious but there were some incidents that I didn't like: 1. The taftoon bread was cold 2. They upgraded the water to water bottle without acknowledging 3. Appetizer came after the main dish 4. And the most disappointing one: we received the mashed dizi :(((( although we saw the advertised image of dizi in cooper container on yelp and we informed server that we don't want mashed dizi and we want to mashed it by ourselves :(((( I'm still looking at the dizi on the cooper container :( read more

I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and authentic. The service is on point. I highly recommend it. Try the dizi stew, it's the best I've had outside of my mama's kitchen. I found this place thru a lady in LA. Only little issue here is the parking which i had to look for 15 minutes. This little restaurant is pretty cool. Our server Shima was a true gentleman. He helped from start to finish. They have a special persian Stew which is called Ab Goosht. Basically it means beef stew. Food was great and they make their own fresh bread in the back. Yummm. For dessert we had persian tea with some bamieh and zoolbia (persian sweets) their tea was very flavorful, unlike some other places i've been too. We will be back for more. Yumm!! read more

This review is not about their food since we didn't get a chance to eat at this place today .this is about the awful attitude of the two brothers who inherited this business from their father.I wish I could give their behavior less than No Star.... We used to eat at this restaurant very often when it was under the old management( their father). Today,On the way back from Big Bear ,We decided to eat food at this restaurant like the nice old days. We were a couple with out senior parents.Their waiter, Saeed,offered us a table at the corner of the restaurant. As we were deciding about the arrangement of fitting 5 people on a table made for 4 people,one of the brothers greeted a new arrived customer who apparently was a friend of one of the brothers.They hugged and the brother directed him to the same table they offered us in advance.I inquired about the mixed up and he suddenly started screaming at me.Aa we were shocked,were debating about staying or not, the older brother approached us & started blaming us for "looking for trouble". They appeared extremely restless, agitated and rude. They quickly switched their store sign to " CLOSED" as we left their restaurant. We felt extremely disappointed and disgusted by the whole experience. Wow wow wow best kabob I've had in the United States! I was born in Iran and moved to the states at 4th grade and I've had some great kabob here between restaurants and home made! But when I had the koobide at Vanak it was the first time that I was reminded of having kabob in Iran its very authentic! I know everyone loves Raffi's but Raffi's is like going to a trendy sushi place vs a whole in the wall that does it right like how it should be! They bring you fresh baked bread when you sit with I usually get yogurt and cucumber and use it as a dip! I know their popular for their abgoosht but it was my favorite I've definitely have had better! You can. Not go wrong with the koobideh, chicken kabob, or the Barg! We used to always eat here and were happy with the food. However, we ordered take out 3 times and every single time our meat was burnt. Today I went in to order to go and mentioned that the last few times our meat was not even edible and if they could make sure to not over cook it this time. The waiter who was taking my order said that was not a problem and charged me for my food. He went to let the owner's son (Robert) about my request and returned to tell me that he said "it is what it is, I refuse to even give them food." The waiter apologized many times and I told him that it's not his fault. I'm so disappointed in his words and costumer service. My family and I were regulars here and will never return again. One of the best DIZI I ever had. Very traditional looking place. The location is somehow middle of nowhere but who cares. Serving, quality, and taste of our food was amazing. This place has the rudest waiter. Both the owner and waiter work very hard to get rude of their customers. I used to take many of my friends there and EVERY TIME had terrible experiences and we went there because of Abghoosht, but they think they are serving gold . Waste of time! I had lule kebab (koobideh) here and it was excellent. They also bring fresh herbs, onions, and bread to your table, which goes well with the dishes that they serve. Service staff are competent. The manager can be more friendly though. He approached me and asked to pay the tip in cash, not with credit card, without providing any explanations. We found this great restaurant from a Youtube channel on the popular Persian restaurants in L.A. County. Nersses Vanak is one of the best in the Glendale / Burbank area! The Beef Soltani (Barg & Koobideh / Luleh) Kabob was so yummy! The freshly-baked bread from the oven was amazing!
