I was helping my friend find a gown. She had the extra challenge of being a second time and a bit older than the average bride. To top it off she had experienced one hell of a ride with some unethical antics from an out of state shop and then more from a local seamstress. We literally do not have the space here for all the details. My friend was without a gown and her wedding was 5, yes 5, days away!! She was having her hair done at Rumors and, what could only be portrayed in a Hallmark movie, looked out the window and realized a bridal shop was located in the same shopping center. She and her hairdresser went to the shop while her hair was in foils and knocked on the door. The shop owner was miraculously inside and brought her in and patiently listened to the whole story. An appointment was made for the following afternoon. My friend was shocked at how many dresses she was able to choose from and the owner came in for the ultimate save, remembering a dress she had from a discontinued line. It was as if the dress had been waiting for this bride. Everyone was conscientious about the budget and everything fell into place with a fair price for the gown and expedited tailoring. Alterations were made by the talented Viola (funny enough my friend and Viola had both lived in New Jersey, AND the same small polish town Viola is from is the exact same town my friend's great grandmother was from before she came to the US many years ago). We had the perfect dress in hand 2 days before the wedding! I do not recommend this experience but I will recommend this shop, always. Your destiny awaits!

I had 2 Apts on Friday but wanted a better idea for what I wanted. Cassidy was able to give me my own personal mini apt!! I was so happy but instantly sad/mad that I had no one at the apt bc I walked in on a whim. But she was so amazing. We made an apt for Friday (with my other 2 dress Apts at other places) because I would have friends and a few family members with me. Including a dear friend from out of town. She said she would be happy to do my apt and save the dress for last. I asked her if she was sure and if it was possible. She said it happens all the time. Friday came and my party is out to brunch. She lets me know early that she is not feeling well and if it's ok if her co worker Poppy takes my apt. I said sure and I hope she feels better. She was told what the plan was. My team and I got to pick some dresses and have a full apt. It was so fun!!! At the end I came out in the dress, said "YES to my dress" and told them. I ordered from Monique at Cleo and Clementine via Etsy…read more You would not believe the lengths Monique went to in order to make sure I had the perfect veil for my special day. First of all, I was on a very tight time line because we decided to elope in weeks. I jumped on Etsy and ordered what I thought would be the perfect veil with enough time to receive the item. But, when the veil arrived the shade of rose gold did not match my dress. I quickly notified Monique and asked what I should do. She immediately told me she could help me. She calmly explained she had a new color that might work and she could dye a new veil and add the metallic flakes and get it mailed before my date. The date I notified her was 6 days from my wedding date. She made it happen. The veil arrived the day of the ceremony before noon as promised and was absolutely perfect. I'm getting married in August, and I was debating whether I wanted a veil at all. My dress is white…read morewith black embellishments, and I really wanted a black veil, but I hated all the thicker black ones I saw online... cheap-looking and Hot-Topic esque, I felt. But then I found a photo on Pinterest of a bride with an incredibly thin black veil in the sheerest, most delicate tulle I've ever seen, and I adored it. I miraculously tracked it down as having been made by Cleo & Clementine, so I reached out to them and asked them about the possibility of making one for me. I actually assumed it would be way more expensive than it was, but the price (~$300 for cathedral length) was within my range. They worked with me via email to create my custom order, and it finally arrived tonight! My dress is also being custom made, so I don't have it yet, and therefore don't have any way of knowing how the veil with look paired with my dress. I imagine, though, that it will be perfect. It's the exact fabric I asked for, and I can't wait to see the end result. I'll definitely return to post photos after my wedding day!
