Just the wrapper in the wonton deep fried. 12 big delicious crunchy swirls for $6.95 was not worth my time tbh. Wouldn't order this again, would go for the spring rolls in future. Tofu with Veggies in Oyster Sauce is delicious as the tofu absorbs so much flavour. Good amount of Shiitake mushroom and veggies in a light sauce. Easy to order online or phoning in, no english issues. Some deals for cash only, some are already so promotional they won't allow promo stacking. A fried rice and a noodle dish were the bigger trays. The food is tasty. Prices aren't too bad. The smaller trays were a pad Thai , a sesame beef, sweet and sour pork, a mixed vegetables and another dish but sorry can't remember what I ordered. I think the vegetable dish they called it something treasures , sorry don't have the menu around me to check, it was a veggie seafood dish and I thought that one was very tasty. The red seats did not even stand out. We decided to dine in. The menu indicated that a 13% tip would be added automatically for dine-ins. It certainly had a lot to offer, with menu item numbers going above 230. Here's what I tried: #01 Chicken Pakora: A great choice on our part, 10 large pieces of breaded chicken were served with a lemon wedge and chilli mayo. They were red, which I found striking. I enjoyed the taste of mildly spicy chicken. The sauce was okay, but I mostly enjoyed the chicken without it. #22 Hot and Sour Soup with Seafood: I wasn't a big fan of this famous Chinese appetizer. It had all the right ingredients, but it was a bit too sour for my taste. #75 Manchurian Beef with Gravy: I loved this dish. The spicy beef strips were tender and juicy. The sauce was hot and savoury, and it went well with steamed rice that we ordered. #169 Chicken Ho-Fun: Another great choice, this rice-noodle stir fry dish was mild and had many tender chicken strips to fill me up. There was only one person serving, but there was no one else dining, so her checking in on us every now and then was more than good enough for us in terms of service. The table and some eating utensils were sticky, showing age. Disposable chopsticks were available upon request, which was nice. The washroom was serviceable but not clean. Despite some of the flaws I found in the restaurant, their dishes tasted good. I was surprised to see how affordable the food was. Having been around the area before, I was a little unsure what to expect with the parking situation. My friend assured me they have a private parking lot, if not too large. When I pulled in around noon on a Wednesday, I found most of the spaces available. Great start! I was struck by the decor as soon as I walked up to the entrance. I could see that it had initially been designed and executed with care; however, there are signs of half hearted reno and maintenance throughout, which is the main reason I've downgraded to a 4. As soon as I came into the restaurant proper, I was politely greeted by the service staff, and advised to take my pick of tables. I decided on a window booth, close to the back and the coat rack, away from the noisier front end. I let her know it would be 2 and she promptly returned with glasses and water, and menus. They have a lunch special menu, with all meals under $20 (unless adding on shrimp for some selections.) They include a spring roll, and a good choice of extras (either soup, or additional ingredients for the base.) I was drawn to both the coconut green curry and the noodle bowl, but chose the noodle bowl since it was a cold day. I went with tom yum broth, and added wontons for my included extra. The soup and the spring roll arrived piping hot and tasty. The soup had a good amount of vegetables to complement all the starchy noodles and wontons. The spice level wasn't at all overwhelming, although our server took care to point out that it is a spicy broth. It took me a good while to get through the huge, packed bowl. I could taste the sugar and likely msg, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. The restrooms are a little tricky to get to and tight, with 1 of the 2 ladies' stalls out of order. Still, you could tell it was originally quite pretty, and the little touches like fancy soap and air freshener carry it. The service was impeccable. Our ever polite server made several visits to our table throughout our meal, unobtrusively refilling our glasses of water and checking whether we required anything else. I would not hesitate to return for another meal here when back in Leaside.

That to me was the star of the meal. The soup was also delicious. The chilli chicken tasted a little bland and was missing the Hakka spice to it. The food is average at best, or below average, compared to a lot of other Thai restaurants in the city. The "mild" in their dishes is still quite spicy. You can opt for "no spice" in the fried rice and pad thai, but the lowest spice level for the curries is "mild" (which I still find to be very spicy). Their pad thai is mediocre - 98% noodles that are somewhat soggy and stick together, sauce that is sub-par taste-wise compared to many other pad thai I've had in other places, very little protein (regardless of which protein option you choose), and very little of any other ingredients (including bean sprouts, other vegetables and garnishes). The Thai fried rice is alright - I like the mild taste and that it's not oily. They put more protein in this one, compared to the pad thai. But it could use more veggies in the mix. Green curry is flavourful and comes with pieces of bamboo shoots and green pepper. There is a good amount of protein (we chose fish) in this one. It's just too bad that it's too spicy. I'm glad they added steamed vegetables as a side to the menu (which used to not be there before) - simple, still-crisp broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots without any sauce complement the other dishes nicely.
