Great food. Best in Jax Beach by far! We've tried all of them too and none at the beach live up to New Wok.

My previous review still stands. We've gotten takeout here many times since my first visit and never had a bad dish. Delivery is pretty quick as well. Every time we order from here I ALWAYS get their pan fried dumplings. On this visit I got the pepper steak, egg roll and the fried sweet doughnuts. The doughnuts were fluffy and not too sweet. You know what would make these even better?...... condensed milk. Try it! You're welcome. All in all, in my opinion they have the best Chinese takeout food in Jax. Actually, out of all the cities I've lived, New Wok is my top 3 Chinese takeout joint, and I'm Chinese! Also, I have yet to see them in the weekly restaurant inspection list so that's a huge plus! read more

I think they have great Chinese food for fast food and we went to Jacksonville it seems decent that I don't have to drive two hours to. Good Chinese is hard to fine in this area that's for sure. However they do the trick for me. I love their sweet-and-sour chicken they give you so much and the rest of their food is good as well. read more

Wanting to find our go to chinese place and this is so close we decided to give it another try. Tonight, we ordered 4 Seasons& Sesame Chicken and asked for noodles instead of rice. Here's the thing...that substitution cost us $3.75/dish. Thankfully the chicken lo mein was the best part of the meal. Hubs got the pork noodles with his dish, which uses an unusual spice that wasn't our favorite. Would not get the Sesame Chix again. A bit sweet and not tender. Should have stuck with the Black Pepper Chicken. Hubs didn't love the 4 Seasons much but I would get it next time. Loads of mushrooms which I love but just not his thing. The brown gravy was good. Egg rolls were just ok. If we order again, I would stick with the Lo Mein. read more

This is our favorite, neighborhood go-to Chinese! We used to be fans of Chan's but this blows it out of the water. We consistently get the lo mein, orange chicken, general tso's chicken and crab wontons! All soooooo good and cooked perfectly! If you like a little spice, ask for a side of "hot oil". Ordered Lunch Delivery. Called and spoke to Marah(spell?) she was very professional, polite. And, patient since it was my first time. Gave her my order and hoped the food was good. WOW! What a great Surprise. Delivery arrived in less then 10 minutes. Josh was friendly, very good people skills. My Lunch Special. MooGoo Gaipan was very Good, seasoned well. White Rice. They also, offer Fried Rice for those who prefer it. And, it's accompanied by an egg roll. All for 7$ & Change. I also ordered a pint of Chicken & Rice Soup to Add-Up to their 10$ Minimum for Delivery. I found that price more then fair. Some places are Ridiculous when it comes to their minimum. So glad this place has opened up! Definitely the best Chinese Food at the beaches - and they deliver! The owners are very polite and friendly, the food is reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. It also seems to be a better food quality than the other beaches Chinese food we've had. This is a delivery or pick up only place with one table for sitting in. The food is pretty good. Not the best but nothing to complain about. Ordered takeaway and picked it up ourselves. The food was prepared quickly and everything we ordered was present. The second time we went for delivery and totally new food. However, this time it was on thanksgiving. The holiday meant it was a 45 min wait but considering They are one of the only places open it makes sense. You could hear the phones ringing off the hook. (Still waiting for delivery) read more

Sweet donuts are the best I've tasted in Jax period. There not crunchy and not mushy. It's like they have perfected the donut art. And not overly smothered with sugar. And the shrimp egg foo yung with General tsos sauce instead of gravy is on point. And delivery was faster than they said which is always a good thing. I highly recommend this place read more

Great quality for price and time. We had the General Tso's, Chicken & Broccoli w/ water chestnuts, cashew nuts, and snow peas, Lo Mein w/ beef, and 2 spring rolls. The staff had no exceptions about our additions to the Chicken w/ brocc. Portions are HUGE. Entres come with white rice. The General Tso's had great flavor and was just spicy enough. Chicken with Brocc was classic "Chinese restaurant" brown sauce. Our entire order was ready within about 15 minutes on a Monday around 7 pm. Like I said, portions are huge! I will keep this objective. I ordered teriyaki beef skewers, cream cheese wontons, General Tso Chicken, and beef Lo Mein. The teriyaki beef skewers and cream cheese wontons were amazing! Unfortunately, the main dishes were terrible. I get it, it's chinese fast food. But the General Tso chicken was like eating soft, rubbery goo. Gross. Even tried to heat it up next day, just as bad. Threw away the entire thing. The beef lo mein has zero flavor. The beef was terrible (like cheap cut) but huge portion with no flavor. I threw that out too. The person who answered the phone and took our take-out order was very rude - he put me on hold twice before even starting to take my order. As for the food, hot and sour soup was very good though my local Chinese place puts way more mushrooms in theirs. My kids liked the plain fried rice with 2 eggs added($1 per egg). We thought the veggie eggfooyong was disappointing. Bean sprouts don't belong in this dish. Also when I asked for some hot sauce(the one with the chili seeds in it), the rude dude told me to pick the orange hot sauce packets which I don't want to put on my food - it has red #40 color and who knows when it was made. Since I could see the chili seeds at the bottom of our hot and sour soup, I know they have it. read more

They have a $15 min order for delivery but I didn't realize that one day but they were really nice & still brought me my $10 order! I always get the general Tso chicken, extra crispy. My wife and I just moved to this side of town and wanted to try out a local Chinese food place that delivers. The woman on the phone who took our order was remarkably rude and incompetent, and while she acted like she knew what she was talking about, she was completely unable to answer almost all of my questions regarding items on their menu. Both her and the driver (who delivered our order nearly an hour and a half late) were extremely unpleasant and made multiple remarks on the amount of food we had ordered (which really wasn't a lot) and implied that I was overweight. Upon arrival, the driver himself was incredibly sweaty and loud, and had I not known better I'd have thought he picked up my order and decided it'd be faster to sprint to my house. I had paid with my card over the phone and the driver insisted not only that I had not paid already, but that he "deserves compensation" for "having trouble" finding the address number on our house. Furthermore, he smelled so strongly of B.O. that I almost lost my appetite entirely. Against better judgement I decided to give them a second try a few days later. My father is a Vietnam Veteran and while most local business will honor our troops who so bravely risk their lives for our country, New Wok does not have a Military discount. In fact, when I asked about said discount, the woman (who seemed to recognize my voice) replied with "No, what makes you special?" I said nevermind and hung up immediately. Now this brings me to my final point. The food was slimy, yet the taste was reminiscent of effing Raid! roach killer. The "boneless" ribs definitely had bones, the sweet and sour chicken was neither sweet nor sour, and the general tso's chicken was so undercooked, I could almost hear it clucking. I wouldn't have fed this food to the raccoons that dig through my trash. I highly recommend New Wok if you are a fan of terrible customer service, debatably edible "food", and sweaty 50 year old men breathing heavily at your door. read more

This is the worst I have eaten. I made a to go order and the egg roll was burnt. The house fried rice bland with no flavor. The ribs just not worth the cost very little meat all bone and 8 ribs for $14.00 you would at least hope to have some meat on the bone. The honey chicken please do not wast your money or time. If curry is not a fave of yours, don't order. Curry in unexpected things like the gravy for the foo young, and in the fried rice. Ugh.
