    Banh it ram
    Brittany M.

Came here to try the viral ban it ram, but honestly it was the least of my favorite things that we ordered. The star here is definitely the bun bo hue (in my opinion). My friend and I shared the spicy soup, banh it ram, and banh beo chen. This was too much for food us, but we loved trying everything! Both of our favorites was the soup and then the banh beo chen, which is a lot for 2 people since you get 10. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee and my friend the pennyworth juice. The juice had a very grass-type flavor to it, would recommend something else if you're looking for something with some sweetness to it. The coffee was good! I would come back to get the bun bo hue again and try other dishes. There was no wait around 11am on a Friday, but it did start to fill up as it got later.

Jumped on the viral bandwagon. The banh it ram was what others had to say to about it: crispy, mochi-like. Although it lacks filling, the super chewy rice texture makes this good carb savory staple. Good to share - 1 piece was enough carb for me. Looks like fresh mochi like texture made on their end so definitely worth a try in you're if the area. Also got the banh beo - was surprised by the portion size here. They give you a lot of the rice cakes here. Paired with some at home veggies, good for more carb loading.

FOR THE BBH FAM Waited 15 mins for 3 for lunchtime on a Saturday! Wasn't too bad. The service attentive was quick and nice. Got the BBH, the combo banh, and banh ram it. Everything was tasty and just want to note that the banh ram it took 30 mins! If you have time, it's worth it! Here's a pic of it!!

We came here for the Ban it ram for to go! The restaurant is located inside a mall, plenty of parking. The ban it ram was $17 and comes with 4 large pieces. Was a little disappointed with the dish, too much carbs and the fried part is too rich, can barely finish one, wish the sauce was a bit thicker. This dish wasn't it for me but would love to try other dishes here.

We came here specifically to try the Banh It Ram, please note they make the dish fresh so we did have to wait 20 minutes for it. The service is SOO friendly! Thank you to the nice uncle who let us sit inside even though we had a to-go order and made our drinks quickly while we sat and chatted. Banh It Ram - 4/5, large portions with good flavor! I'd compare it to a crunchy rice cracker with mochi and shrimp filling on top. Lots of nuoc mam sauce! Salted plum drink - 5/5, really good sour plum flavor and the club soda isn't bitter!! One of my favorite drinks, soo happy to find somewhere that makes it well. Vietnamese coffee - 4/5, very strong and bitter.

Our family was visiting from out of town and really wanted to try this place. We were honestly surprised by how low the ratings were because we enjoyed everything we ordered, from the banh beo and banh ram it to the bun bo hue. Then again, places with lower ratings are usually the hidden gems, so I'm glad we decided to give this spot a try. Luckily, we came for lunch and were seated right away. The service was amazing, the servers kept checking on us, making sure our order was correct, and refilling our water. Everything came out hot and perfect with no issues at all. Our family was so quiet during lunch, and we realized it was because everyone was too busy enjoying the food 10/10, we'd definitely come back!

    My Bun Bo Hue.

I arrived here just before they were closing which is 7:00 pm. Parking was easily accessible since most of the businesses close early at this strip mall. Service is on point and I went with a large bun bo hue. The portions of protein are generous and I was totally satisfied and full with my bowl of soup. They now accept credit cards versus the old policy of cash only which is convenient. Ngu Binh remains one of my favorite spots for Bun bo hue in Little Saigon, Westminster.

Maybe it was an off day, but I remember the bun bo hue being better. Maybe it was lacking spice this time around. The banh beo has always been really good here. I also got a catering order of banh nam for a holiday party and my family loved it. The staff were super friendly. The restaurant is spacious. I once brought my family of 20+ people with no reservations and they had no probably accommodating.

I came here to try a few things, starting with the Banh Beo. The portion size is great. One order comes with ten pieces, and they are generous with the dried shrimp, which is the key to good Banh Beo. I was indifferent about the fried onion on top, but overall it was solid. I also ordered the Bun Bo Hue. The broth was not very flavorful or beef forward, and it fell a little flat. The pork trotter was mostly the foot rather than the meaty part, and the pork blood was on the overcooked side. I did appreciate the homemade cha. This place doesn't have tendon which is a bummer. After a while, the broth tasted one note even after I added lime and sate. I did not finish my small bowl, which is unusual for me. I tried the Nem Chua as well. I might have gotten a bad batch because it looked dull instead of a vibrant red, and it had a strange aftertaste. I would not order this again. The lady working the counter tried to upsell a lot, which was a bit annoying, but she was very sweet and friendly. The restaurant is clean, the food comes out quickly, and I love that they bring out a full assortment of veggies to go with the Bun Bo Hue. It is decent overall, but it is not one of my top spots for Bun Bo Hue.

10/10 delicious food, great and attentive service, and calm ambience! Would recommend if you're craving Vietnamese food!

Best Banh Beo in town. Restaurant is located in a strip mall and parking was challenging. They offer a variety of different Vietnamese dishes such as Banh Bo Hue, Mi Quang, and others. I come for the Banh Beo. Loved the toppings. It had the perfect assortment of crunchy and flavor. The fish sauce was so delicious and accompanied the dish so well. It's definitely a must have if you can visit.

I haven't been back here for over 2 decades. The place looks the same style (simple with big screen tv of fish tanks or VNese scenery), well kept, clean and organized. Parking was easy since it's in a big plaza so big parking. Well services, or abit too well since got in, got table, got menu and was asked what I would ordered and was standing there the whole time...with smile. Got ordered and fast turn around. And almost every time I got food into my mouth, got the staff stop by asking if I need something. I guess people complained about lack of service here but I got over serviced. The foods were good, thought it would be better and their spicy was not at all..I would say the"white" version of spicy. Even their chili saté on the table was not even a 1 star for spicy, I kept adding (6 spoons) into my bowl and not a thing, not even a hint of it. Yes it cost from $15 from small bowl to $17 for big bowl, and it was decent size. Broth was okey, lack of something, seasoning was okey....somehow I remembered it would be better, but just AOK. Their cha Hue were good, well seasoning and worth it for $3.75 for 2 rolls. Overall, good but nothing standout or memorable. Glad I stopped by and give it a go.

Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet takeout ($14.95 large). This is only half of it! Great portion! 11/10/2024

Here's an updated review for Ngu Binh. I still absolutely love this place. The staff, who tend to be on the older side, are always warm and attentive, at least in my experience. Ngu Binh continues to be my go-to spot for Bún Bò Huế. I usually order the small Bún Bò Huế ($14.95) and Bánh Bột Lọc Trần ($14.95). The food comes out quickly and consistently hits the spot. They accept credit cards, which is a huge plus in this area. Parking can be a bit limited, but if you come in the early morning, you'll usually find spots right out front.

Have been to this restaurant many times, and food is always consistent! Came visit to the restaurant last week, and ordered my favorite Grilled Escargot with Garlic Butter and Peppercorn, Grilled Scallops with Cheese, and my all-time favorite Chilean Sea Bass hot pot! The grilled escargots are a must-have when visiting this place! These are perfectly grilled with rich garlic butter for sweetness, and with a slight kick of spiciness from the peppercorn. Don't forget to also dip the escargot meat with black pepper and a few squeeze of fresh lime juice! If you like melted cheese, then the grilled scallops with cheese would be the perfect match. Each scallop is covered melted cheese and comes sizzling on a hot plate when ordered! Last but certainly not least, my favorite dish of this restaurant is the Chilean Sea Bass hot pot. The order comes with your own tabletop gas stove, along with a hot pot filled with a tom yum like sour soup base. For ingredients, it also includes a plate with slices of pineapple, quarter cut fresh tomato slices, fresh bean sprouts, rice noodles, and a full plate of large pieces of Chilean Sea Bass. Just put all the ingredients in the hot pot and let it cook for 5-10mins on high, I promise you it is one of the best soups you will ever have! Service is good as always. This place always seems to be busy, so you may have to be on the waitlist during certain business hours (eg holidays, prime dinner time, etc). Parking wise, the restaurant is located in a busy plaza, and so you may have to drive around a few times before finding an open spot. However as I said earlier, it's worth the wait. Highly recommended.
