I was blown away by my experience at Nice Matin for French Restaurant Week! Every food we had, from appetizer to dessert, was absolutely delicious. The escargot was incredible. My friend and I were both figured we wouldn't like it, but the sun-dried tomato and lemon were truly amazing touches. Their complimentary bread was warm and fluffy, and served with soft butter and olive oil. I was blown away by the chicken entree. The chicken itself and the gravy were so flavorful. The potatoes that came with it were crispy and delicious. Finally, I loved the peach Melba for dessert. It had four or five peach slices and very yummy ice cream. This was a great prixfixe menu and I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. They had some particularly delicious-sounding cocktails that I need to try next time!

My MIL, NYC lifer, says it's the best brunch in Manhattan. I went for lunch, and I agree that it's top notch! Indoor and outdoor seating (most of it under umbrellas) and a delightful, patient, friendly staff. I had the salad Nicoise with large pieces of tuna. The berries were standard fare, and surely from a grocery store rather than a local farmer. Spacious seating so you have privacy with your conversations.

A table of 4 adults and a sleeping toddler arrived on a busy Sunday for brunch. I split the eggs benedict with my husband and was surprised they plated on two small plates. Service was fantastic and the food came out pretty fast. It was a pleasant environment overall. The interior was warm and bright.

Upscale, classic and a warm welcome to greet you back home to dine with US feeling. My favorite dishes are: Escargot , Sandwich: Croque Madame (Griddled ham & gruyère & sunny side up egg) & for my salad palate the NICOISE (grilled tuna loin, red wine vinaigrette ( anchovies on request). Simply fine dining with NYC Uptown, upscale flare. BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO

Always thought this place had a great decor, and it's in my neighborhood, but we never went before I never give five star reviews, and I really enjoyed my meal! First off the wine we chose was weird and fantastic. Sorry it was the last bottle and they've been holding it for a long time. We started out with a Nicoise salad, with asparagus, olives, seared tuna, and it was great! The dressing is very light and works! And my wife had the burger with the truffle and it was dope I had the duck and it was fantastic. I will be back

Nice Matin is fine, nothing special. I couldn't believe how busy it was at 9am on a random Thursday so definitely make a reservation. When I arrived they told me they have a limited menu due to gas inspection and that you can't order an omelet or anything made stovetop...okay, so why open for breakfast that day. The menu had things like granola, fruit, waffles, and a benedict but that was it. No pancakes, no fried eggs, no bacon... I ended up not eating since I came for the shakshuka but couldn't have it. That said, the coffee was very good. I had two lattes with oat milk. Service was friendly but painfully slow. It took almost an hour for them to take our order. I'd come back, but only if the kitchen is fully working.

Our meal at Nice Matin totally hit the spot, we were walking by and saw the delicious looking food. Stopped in and we were able to be seated, got to sit outside on a beautiful day and enjoy a delicious meal. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was great. The service could have been a bit better, we were tucked in the back corner and had to wait a bit before our server made their way back around. But I will be back! The potato salmon dish was amazing.

My family was in town from LA and we went to Nice Matin before our trip to the Natural History Museum. I ordered a virgin bloody mary and a cheeseburger. The burger was cooked just the way that I liked it. It was bloody and juicy, and delicious. The french fries were also crispy and also chewy in the center so it reached perfection. The service was quick, and the food and the bloody mary had the right amount of flavor. Our waitresses were also really kind and accommodating. The salad that came on the side of my moms dish was really good and didn't include too much or too little dressing. Overall I could see how this is the perfect spot for brunch and for people who are looking to dine near the museum if they're going to be there for the whole day.

I would give this a 4.5. The food was solid - good French classics. I had the mussels which were fantastic. Every mussel was fresh and the cream sauce was delicious. They also gave me a really nice side salad instead of fries per my request. Ambiance was good - I liked the chandelier, but it was packed and a bit loud. Service was overall good, given how busy it was. We had to ask for a side of bread three times but eventually we did get it. I was also impressed that they switched out the bowl with the mussel shells promptly without my asking.

I came here with my parents for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We made reservations for 1:30pm, but there were plenty of tables open. I had the salmon Benedict, which was served with potatoes and a green salad. I thought everything was good. Standard brunch fare. For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée and the dark chocolate soufflé. Both were incredible! Our server was really nice, as well.

I was able to make reservations at the last minute on a Sat night despite July being a very touristy month in the city. We arrived early and an outdoor table was just finishing up so we were sat within a handful of minutes. Beautiful evening to sit outdoors and the people-watching was good but not bothersome. We ordered Escargot, crispy artichokes, french onion soup, the duck and the steak au poive, all of which were excellent (the duck was very nice). Despite the variety of wine available we were enjoying cocktails and our water glasses were constantly refilled. The service was very good as well and the maitre d was also very pleasant. Very solid performance and would love to revisit at a later date.

Conclusion- disappointed, as it's 5 years past its prime, as its last Michelin Bib Gourmand (2021) sign had proven prophetic. Pros- the only non-French menu item off the lunch menu, the burger with fries, was one of the tastiest I had anywhere in sometime. Would have been perfect had I ordered it medium rare, instead of medium. One plus is the decent portion size, for both main entrees and appetizers. Cons- all the other French menu items can use room(s) for improvement. Starting with the mussels bowl, although very flavorful, mussels were a bit overcooked, and it can use a bit more butter, and one less pinch of salt in flavoring. Next, the Escargot appetizer can use more flavoring, and the tuna tartare was way too bland, definitely needs more salt, pepper, and whatever other seasoning to enhance its flavor. Service- server attitude was decent; however, the wait times for food for both appetizers & main entrees were way too long, especially given the fact it's a rainy weekday mid-afternoon and there were only 2 other tables of diners. Given its past glory, and fact there are several other Amelies chain locations in NYC, perhaps the owner(s) of this establishment can take my constructive comments to heart?
