It came up recently in my scroll and I found that they serve in-house roasted roast beef and turkey, so I headed in for lunch on Saturday after Thanksgiving. All decorated for the season. I got a to go order since I was on a lunch break. Only spoke with a couple of the staff and I already feel like home. Very nice a d welcoming staff, both on the phone when taking my order and in person. East pick up window outside with parking reserved right in front of the pick up window. Turkey club, mashed potatoes & gravy, loaded potato soup, butterfinger Bundt cake. Added a cookie when I saw them. Everything was good, solid diner fare. Good quality, well prepared. This diner was packed for lunch. I'm talking hard to find a place to park packed. For a diner, I was impressed. Service was nice, they move as fast as they can. It's a home style feeling diner with everything. Picture the Cheesecake Factory menu, diner style. I tried the brunch burger and OMG. I could only eat half and it was amazing. Flavorful and filling. It has been awhile since I've been here but I was in the area so I decided to stop by. We were immediately greeted with smiles and seated promptly. Our server, Heather, was fantastic! She was friendly, efficient, and kind. We mentioned the jumbo eclairs and she said there were only two left and she put them in a box and saved them for us to take home! My turkey melt was so delicious and it was huge! I could only eat half of it. The gyro was tasty as well. My onion rings were awesome and so were the tater tots. Everyone at this restaurant including the clientele is kind. Everyone is smiling and happy to be enjoying good food and good service with good friends/family. We have been coming to Nick's for years. It is a cozy and clean restaurant that gives you a true diner experience. The menu has a lot of options and you can definitely find something for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their lemon chicken soup is truly homemade and it is one of the best ones I have tried. Food is made to order, fresh, flavorful, tasty and consistent. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with Fries, Buffalo chicken Tenders with Fries, Ceasar Salad with Grilled Chicken and the Chicken Gyro with Potato Salad (sweet and no onions). 5 stars for a quick delicious diner-style breakfast. We were sat right away on Saturday morning and asked what we'd like to drink. We got some coffee and water. Nothing super special, but the coffee did the job. We ordered the Croissant Sandwich Special and Corned Beef Benedict. It came out SUPER fast. Like less than 10 minutes after we had ordered. The croissant sandwich was huge. It was basically two croissants loaded with egg, cheese and sausage. It also came with your choice if hash browns, home fries or grits. It was delicious. My husband also really enjoyed his Benedict and wasn't able to finish it because it was so much to eat. Next time we will probably just get the croissant to share and add an order of hash browns. When you order, just make sure your eyes aren't bigger than your stomach! The staff was also friendly and you could tell that they love their regulars. It is so nice to walk into a local place and see it supported as well as Nick's is. The place is busy and that speaks volumes to the quality of the food and the amazing service staff. For the past several months I've been struggling to find a place that understands what customer service is... well... I need to look no further. I love Diners. I was originally going to get some breakfast, but, as I walked into the restaurant I noticed the Brooklyn Melt and had to try it. And let me tell you... A-Maze-ing! They cook the corned beef in house over night at a low temperature. The meat comes out moist, tender but not too tender and full of awesome briny goodness. Then they pile it on high! You almost need a Sherpa to conquer this beast. A nice layer of sliced Turkey breast, also made in house, sauerkraut, 1000 Island on toasted bread. Cheryl, my awesome server, is helpful and friendly. I tell her all about the origins of the Reuben and she assures me I'm going to be in for a treat. And she was so right! The crispy bread, the moist meats the tangy dressing and the gooey cheese... Ahhh... perfection. Did you know that the entire reason why I ended up becoming a chef was because of a random encounter with my first Reuben at the tender age of 13. It blew my mind and as I've traveled the world, I've used the grilled Reuben as the benchmark for every restaurant. If they deliver a good Reuben then I know what they are doing. If it's crap, well, I move on. This is a masterpiece of excellence! Now just a couple of pointers. With a sandwich this magnificent, you shouldn't be serving boxed sides with it. The potato salad was meh. If you'd like, I can give you a much better recipe. But, I'm not really a fan of boxed salads. If anything, serving this typical mediocre potato salad just highlights how inordinate and exceptional this sandwich actually is. They happened to be out of Lemonade but the Sweet tea worked just fine as a substitute. The other thing is one of the employees broke out the vacuum cleaner to clear the floor and this shouldn't be done during service. Push mops and brooms help cut down launching dust into the air. But honestly, that is all I can criticize and that pretty damn impressive. I look forward to visiting much more in the future. A good diner is hard to find, but irreplaceable once you do find it! I was taken here for my birthday lunch. The spot is located in the old Pizza Hut off of N. OBT. I never knew that this diner existed there. Quite surprised! Entrance to the diner is traditional but with plenty eye catching visuals. The atmosphere is exactly the "diner vibe". It's loud, chatty, friendly, and nonetheless family oriented. This place overall was nice. You definitely get a family owned feel when you walk in. The staff is all friendly and seems to know a lot of the locals. The food was good! I had a super filling meal of eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. All very yummy, I scarfed all that down without hesitation! My boyfriend and I shared a chocolate chip waffle with powdered sugar and that was the highlight of the meal. That waffle was delicious and sweet. My husband convinced me to go here. A family owned and operated breakfast/lunch spot. I have to say the food was delicious... everything is made from scratch with high quality ingredients. I've been coming here on many occasions, so much that the staff is recognizing my son, and we're getting to the first name basis with each other! My wife and I love coming here whenever we have the chance! The staff is amazing and very friendly, and I love the friendly portions that are on each plate along the fair prices, and overall great food. The changes to their specials is another great reason to come back and visit, the recent special was a Miami Cuban chicken sandwich, which was a friend chicken breast Cuban on a Kaiser roll and it was absolutely delicious! Nick's is our family's weekend treat. We were always regulars prior to COVID-19 on Saturday mornings, and now we do pickup on Saturday and Sunday for brunch. The dining room is open, but because we have some people who are vulnerable to the virus, we choose pickup for now. They post the specials daily on their Facebook page, so on the weekend, we check those, I call in the order, and it is ready when we get there for pickup. The food is fantastic, and the people make you feel like family. We have been going for many years, and have always been treated with care, and served the most delicious food in the area.
