So I order from Nikki's to Uber Eats I specify no legs because this is my first time ordering there what do I get a leg connected to a thigh and another leg connected to a thigh which I don't eat legs so that went in the garbage the fries were extremely cold and the garlic bread I couldn't even bite into because it was hard . So I called them and explained to them that it does State no legs they tell me sorry so what is that $15 down the tube and I'm hungry still and what did Nikki do about it not one thing don't order the Grecian chicken .I am so disappointed and so upset,right now,and so hungry.....never will I order from them again... read more

Was in and out within 7 minutes. The interior was more spacious than I expected for a fast food joint in the south side, and there are sit-down booths as well. The gyro here is delightful. The pita of the gyro is soft and tasty, the onions and tomatoes were relatively garden fresh and the tzatziki sauce was rich and creamy. It complimented the gyro meat well. Which by the way was well grilled/roasted. The meat itself was tender and flavorful. As a whole, I felt like the gyro ( I'm not even talking about the gyro dinner) was way to fattening, it left me reeling. Despite looking like a chipotle burrito, it fills you up even more than one of these. It also had WAY TO MUCH tzatziki sauce, sometimes to much of good thing can be a bad thing. The meat also left me with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. Overall, Nickys makes one mean gyro. read more

I used to love Nickys, especially the Grecian Chicken. Now it appears they have significantly increased prices on the menu items without raising quantity or quality. The half chicken, which used to be an exceptional dish, is now a medium sized, subpar dish for an exorbitant price. The half chicken was over $12 - not good considering many jerk chicken restaurants in Chicago set that price for a whole chicken. The food is still decent, but I know for a fact you can get many of the same foods for better prices at various Maxwells around the city (with fries included). Nicky's single cheeseburger with just condiments and onions was over $5 after tax. No sides included. Yelp needs to update their information about this restaurant's price point as well as their operating hours which were also incorrect. read more

Finally decided to stop by tonight. Decided to go with the Grecian fish dinner. The salad and fish fillets were drowning in dressing. I don't know if it was the dressing or a combination but it was extremely salty. I had to switch from drinking a diet drink to drink a gallon of water after that meal due to the amount of sodium on that meal. I gave it a 3/5 stars because I will be back to give the restaurant a second try. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint. read more

YES; FINALLY; WHEN THEY SAY FAST FOOD, THEY REALLY MEAN IT HERE!!! I didn't wait but 6 minutes to get my 2 rib tip orders & burgers. It was fast, clean, the guy was firm, clear & polite! I came here before but I don't often make my way over this area much. It is worth the stop. My only peeve; they don't put the white sandwich bread slices under or right on top of your ribs to slop up the juices because there isn't much to slop up. read more

I like the flavor and tenderness of the rib tips.. overpriced for 4-5 rib tips pieces and fries and 2 slices of white bread for $10. Do better guys.. seemed like a mini order to me. This place has ample seating and menu items but this review is only for the Grecian chicken. THIS IS THE BEST CHARBROILED CHICKEN THAT YOU WILL EVER TASTE IN YOUR EVER LOVING LIFE!!! Whew! Sorry...I had to go caps to get that out lol. But seriously, the chicken is life changing. It's everything. Perfectly seasoned. I mean the flavor is soaked into every ounce of chicken down to the bone! I haven't really tried the sides or bbq so I can't speak on that but the chicken is outta this world. You must try it. If you want some short order than you just might fall in love with this place as I did many years ago as in like nearly 30 was the first time I was here, It has been about 15 years since I was here last. I need to make it a point to not wait so long in between visits. My Big Baby was EXACTLY like how I remember it. Extremely delicious!. This is an excellent fast food place with a Greek focus. Gyros, Grecian style chicken, and a great Greek chicken salad all being the highlights. They have really good hamburgers and beef sandwiches I hear. I would avoid the hot dogs because they don't use Kosher or Vienna dogs - the rest are icky in my opinion. Generally, I stick with the chicken salad. Hot, freshly grilled chicken, tomatoes, feta, romaine lettuce, olives, a tangy Greek dressing, and a hot pita for $6. It's EXCELLENT! I highly recommend it if you find yourself in the area. There are TONS of Nicky's in the city - make sure you are at the real one! read more

I've been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood in 1995. I have always had a good experience coming here. Excellent gyros, polishes, chicken sandwiches, greek salads, the list goes on! I've tried other imitation Nicky's and none of them match the taste and quality! I would recommend take-out, the bathroom is scary last time I used it several years ago and the booths are ok. I always order my food to go. Not a large soda selection (RC, no Coke or Pepsi) but that's ok in my book! read more

We get Nicky's catered to work all of the time. I love their Greek chicken, which we have ordered large dark meat platters of. Imagine fifty chicken legs chargrilled, then coated in a creamy and tangy lemon sauce. YUM. The chicken is always very tender and juicy. However, I have to take off a star because their catering rice and salad are not that great. The salad doesn't have as much feta as I would like and their rice is a bit dry. Good food on the run. Nice portions. I didn't find anything different from Greek chicken to the Mexican chicken except for the sides. That's just my opinion. The service was great and fast. Ive been going to nickys all my life and the taste never changes I love the chicken salad and the big baby I like how's there's a lot of fries not like the McDonald's next door and I love and I say love the chicken tenders and the pizza puff! You could never go wrong with nickys everything on the menu is always good! I know nikky's has been around for a long time. I have to say that their Mexican chicken meal is superb. They serve it with tortillas and rice and beans. However, they also have a Grecian chicken which is amazing. The Grecian chicken comes with garlic bread, & a Greek salad with french fries. I am not fond of eating chicken but the way Nikki's prepares both their Mexican chicken and their Grecian chicken is superb. It taste like a chicken you would order at a fancy restaurant. The cashiers try hard to get your order fast and inaccurately which is always appreciated especially when you're in a hurry for lunch. I'm not too fond of charging for refills however, I understand some people are abusive and take advantage the pop machine that is out in the open. Bottom line I would recommend getting the Grecian chicken because it's tasty but even their hotdogs and hamburgers are pretty good. read more

I ordered a gyro dinner and i am very disappointed I have been to Nicky's on Kedzie I have even did Uber eats deliveries where other people Order from them and I deliver my Uber customer food. my fries was not hot they were cold. my gyro was literally cold at the bottom and even though they put the gyro sauce at the top my gyro should have never been cold at the bottom. my mozzarella sticks was wet and the cheese was not stretching at all it broke apart in pieces. I am very very disappointed in how they handle my food and refused to accommodate me for my services I spent $54.80 just for them to tell me they can credit me for my fries but not my gyro. and that I could bring my food back up there. it was 9:45pm by time I would have went back up to Nickys on 54th and Kedzie they would have been closed. It was ok. It seemed like your average fast food joint that isn't a franchise. I wasn't that impressed and don't think I'll be dining there again. I brought it to the attention of the server that the restrooms needed hand soap and he just looked at me ...I'm sorry I wash my hands before I eat? They have an Italian beef and a grilled chicken sandwich special like 2 for $8.49 or something which I thought was a good deal. They also offer catering. This place is one of the greatest restaurants you can go to in my opinion. The food is spectacular, I always finish it all. I had a half Grecian dinner with Greek salad and fries, The meat came out juicy tender and tasty, and it went perfect with the pita bread I ordered. You can't go wrong with the fajita dinner either, The beans and rice are amazing. The order I had was put together perfectly, and they work with Uber eats. They came super fast, and the portions are decent. Even dining in feels great, it's a nice place to go on a date, or with Friends. Give this place a shot, they try hard with their food. read more

I never do reviews... but after today's incident I had to. My husband went there to pick up two BBQ chicken dinners to go. Because we were taking it to he asked if they could please pack the fries separately because they'll sit in the sauce and get soggy (since they pack it all together). The manager made a huge deal about it questioned why would he want him to do that and went on to say that if he wanted that he was going to have to charge him an additional $5 dollars! In the end he refused to do it... came around the corner and threw a paper plate and aluminum foil on the counter and said if you want it separate you do it! Wow! Nicky's looks like a hole in the wall, parking is hard to maneuver around, business is consistent. I wanted a good Gyro and saw that this place had good reviews. Nothing fancy inside, kinda out of the 60s, some seating, but mostly carry out. I placed my order and in about 5-10 minutes my meal was ready. The Gyro was large, full of flavor. I did not expect it would be what I was craving (really more than I wanted - but I did finish eating it). You cannot beat the quality, quantity or price. I will return. read more

I absolutely love Nicky's. My favorite is the Chicken Sandwhich. I usually get that sandwhich and fries with a cup of cheese. The prices have increased recently, but where haven't they! My grandma love the gyros and big baby. There are booths you can sit in and it's very clean. And the greek chicken is really good too, full of flavor. :-) read more

Prices for things that are generally complimentary at other restaurants but Nickys nickle and dimes their customers over. $0.80 refill from a self serve pop machine. $0.69 for sauce on the side. $0.35 for a cup of water! Really?!? I know it's not situated in a nice 'hood but like the guys on Monday Night Football countdown, "Come on man!" Were it not for the above mediocre food I don't know what would keep people coming back here. I mean not even McNasty charges their customers for a cup of water.
