    # Big Baby Cheeseburger ( LB.) COMBO
    Rob G.

Really enjoyed the baby burger combo here at Nicky's. The burger patty was grilled perfectly and was juicy. Loved the onions on this burger and were a nice complement to the soft bun. Service was efficient and friendly. The decor is your typical local fast food spot in Chicago. Nothing to admire but gets the job done. Will definitely be back.

    The bug.

I have gone to Nicky's for over 20 years and have enjoyed several items on their menu. I have never had a problem with the staff or food there. I guess as that saying goes "all things must come to an end." I ordered a gyro plate the other day. I decided to take some to work today however I found a bug in the container. That's a deal breaker for me.

    Flame-Grilled Chicken Sandwich
    Eduardo R.

The flame grilled chicken sandwich as usual is really good. It was nice and juicy and in was in way dry! The fries when straight out of the frier are extremely crispy and very well salted. However, the Italian beef sandwich had an okay taste to it. There wasn't much flavor and the bottom of the bun was completely soaked and very soggy from the juices, even straight out of the container it was soggy which was a big downer. But the cheese was perfectly melted and had a very nice cheese pull which was amazing! Overall, good service even when packed and other food items on the menu are very good and very tasty! Would come back again!

Half mixed Grecian chicken with salad. Perfectly cooked every single time. Salad is very fresh.

Top-tier Grecian Chicken is the star here. It's actually addictive. They have mastered this chicken. It's rare that I find a place that can deliver juicy white meats consistently. I have ordered from here many, many times and every thing I have had has been fresh, high quality, and delicious. I don't think you can ho wrong with anything you order here.

I've been to several Nicky's around the city. But never this one. I have no complaints about any of them, but the Big Baby that I ate the other day from here, definitely hit the spot. This is a very busy location. People are constantly coming in and out of this joint. And for a damn good reason. Half of them are dining and and the other half are doing take out. The dining area is very spacious, and surprisingly very clean. The Big Baby came out very hot. The poppyseed bun was perfectly toasted and meat was very juicy and flavorful. It was covered with cheese and grilled onions with ketchup on the bottom part of the bun. The fries were also very good. They were think, frozen fries. Tasted similar to Mickey Ds, but crispier. Will definitely be returning very soon.

The food is great but paying almost $4 to use my credit card is crazy (SVC ) check your receipts
    Dulce L.

The food is great, but charging $4 to use your card is crazy. As you can see they charge you twice (1.81) Make sure to check your receipt to get refund. They have a sign that tells you you will only get charge 5%.

Charred is good but burned taste bad. The other side is even worse. Very dry not enough sauce. I don't know what's going on with you guys.. or if this is just bad because it was ordered through delivery. It's also extremely dry and there's not enough sauce ..Unfortunately I don't have my car at the moment.. :/ I normally look forward to eating this it's a treat... now it's like chicken jerky

    Payment fee

This place charges 5% for paying with cash and 10% for using credit cards. This is ridiculous! Who charges for paying with cash? They don't have the sign in Spanish and have the nerve to put out a tip jar. The cashiers are rude AND they got my order wrong! Will not be returning!

Although this location is convenient, I haven't been to Nicky's in many years. I realized years ago that fast food just isn't the best thing for me. And I've been pretty good at staying away from it -- until yesterday. A wave of nostalgia has come over me since writing neighborhood Yelp reviews. When one of my friends wrote of the Nicky's "Big Baby" in a Yelp review recently - - well, it brought back memories of those tasty burgers. So, around 7 PM on a Wednesday (8/21/19), we found ourselves in Nicky's. I am assuming there are times when this place is very busy - - like days of yore. However, on this weekday evening it was not all that busy. The restaurant looked bright and clean. There is an adequate amount of seating and parking (enter from Kedzie Ave only). The young lady that took our order (most people are young to me these days!) was very nice. And now for the Big Baby.. . . I am glad I remembered to take a picture before I wolfed that baby down! The Big Baby was still very tasty, even though it was very salty. I tasted a few of my friend's fries and although he likes them, I don't really care for them. In all fairness, I don't care for most fries these days. I think Nicky's is a fine choice for fast food - - if you like /can eat - - fast food. My 4 Stars are for a fast food place and not a fine dining experience--so please keep that in mind!

We also got the souvlaki and dip trio; the spicy feta was the star, the eggplant was okay, and the potato/fish roe was not for me personally. The souvlaki is meant to be lit on fire when it comes out but ours was a weak sizzle at best... the cheese was very sharp and alcoholic as a result. Final thoughts: would stop in here if I was in a pinch, get the chicken, skip the apps.

All high-quality ingredients across the board, the dolmas are superb. Always quick friendly service always busy with a full restaurant whether we come at lunch or dinner. I've never seen this place slow. They no longer torch the flaming saganaki in the dining area in front of you like so many Chicago Greek restaurants have over the past number of decades. That was a show & highlight every time. I believe now they torch in kitchen and bring to your table. I miss that experience, perhaps a thing of the past. I can only speculate a plate of flaming saganaki met a litigious human at some point along the line in the Greek food world, ending an era. Alas, I Look forward to returning.

The 1st that plans ahead and gets to places early. And the 2nd that is there for a good time but always gets everywhere late. Those of us that wanted to come early and not worry decided that we wanted to go to a restaurant close by to wait for our tour time and that's how we found Ema. As soon as we walk inside we see how beautiful and modern the interior looks. They had a lot of seating available and we got a nice table by the window with a view We wanted to eat light before the tour so we shared a bunch of small plates. We ordered the mushroom escargot, lemon Caesar, crispy potatoes, a couple orders of hummus and some chicken kebabs. That mushroom escargot was one of my favorite things I ate during the entire Chicago trip. The mushrooms were creamy and rich. It tasted umami, bright from the lemon, slightly spicy from the Calabrian breadcrumbs, and paired perfectly with some warm pita bread on the side. The hummus was smooth and well seasoned. The lemon caesar was fresh and fairly standard. The crispy potatoes were perfectly textured and were soft and pillowy on the inside. As long as they sat on the table they never lost their crisp. The chicken kebabs were tenderly, juicy and garlicky. We were all putting together our perfect bite combinations with the pita bread. Everything we ordered I would actually order again. Though may want to try a different salad next time since the Caesar was pretty simple. Regardless, still no real complaints with the food Our server was charismatic and funny. He had a great attitude and entertained us throughout the meal. Everything came out promptly as well so we made it out and could take our time walking to the riverboats. Lucky for our friends the tour said they'd be docked for a few minutes after our scheduled start time to set everything up. As 3 minutes after our start time we see group 2 sprinting up from a couple blocks away Overall Ema was consistent, flavorful and reliable. Not a bad price point either for what you get. I'd definitely recommend and come back

The staff was warm and attentive throughout the meal and brought out delicious complimentary french bread. It's pretty cool that although the restaurant doesn't serve alcohol, staff from the adjacent bar came around every so often and took orders. For appetizers, we started with the feta and olive appetizers. They were good, but I'd probably order something a little more unique next time. I opted for the chicken kalamata dinner for the main event, which came with more french bread and a salad. The salad came out first, and it was pretty simple with minimal dressing. I wished there had been more variety in produce and something besides iceberg lettuce for greens. I'd recommend getting some feta on the side to add some flavor. The chicken, however, was absolutely outstanding. It was super tender, seasoned beautifully with za'atar, and brined in vinegar (I think). The za'atar seasoned french fries underneath were extra crispy and perfectly soaked up the extra sauce from the chicken. For the price, this place is a steal- you really can't beat the quantity and quality of food that you get. Overall, a great experience- I definitely recommend making a stop if you're in the area!
