Grilled Pork with Sticky Rice
Jessica S.

Lovely little restaurant with fast service! Great location. There's free or metered street parking all around the block. We chose to sit outside, where it's fully shaded and surrounding by plants. The food comes out quickly and tastes pretty good. The egg rolls were so crispy and full. I could probably just eat egg rolls. I also got the grilled pork with sticky rice. There was a generous amount of pork and it was soo juicy. I love that they offer sticky rice with their savory dishes. I'm definitely going to come back again to enjoy their lunch specials.

Great Food and service! I've been driving by here for years and years and today I thought we'd slide on in. Really good stuff also made sure that they had no MSG. Our waitresses were very nice. Great place will definitely come back. Good food. We were able to grab a quick bite and chill. Food also comes out fast. Thank you

Very good Thai food, recommended by the staff at our hotel. We had the papaya salad, the green curry lunch special with pork, and the mango sticky rice dessert. All are delicious and very authentic. This place is small, not fancy but the food is definitely worth a visit.

My fav thai restaurant in Pasadena! I've read some of the reviews saying service feels rushed, but I've been many times & haven't experienced that. If anything, they're efficient & food comes out quickly. Love their pad thai, crab fried rice, & mango sticky rice. Both indoor & outdoor seating available & restroom available for customers. Located right across Target & there's lots of nearby street parking.

Located in downtown Pasadena, this Thai food restaurant is cooking up dishes for dine in and take out. During my most recent visit, there were a lot of people dropping in to pick up orders to-go. There are indoor and outdoor seating options so that's convenient when the weather is really nice outside. Tried the Tom Yum soup, Papaya Salad, and Pad Thai. Food was good, but had the same few ingredients in every dish -- meaning, I would have preferred more distinction on taste. The servers were nice but the experience felt rushed. Wouldn't be my first choice for Thai food when back in town, but I would be open to giving this spot another try.

Small, charming restaurant. Wouldn't recommend for parties larger than 6. They have indoor and exterior seating. The service is quick and friendly. The food was good. I would come again and order other things. One unisex restroom. They don't gave toilet seat covers and they only have a hand dryer. Probably wouldn't go #2 there - just hold it.

They have such a beautiful storefront with all these plants and greenery. It's a testament to them that they have an even bigger Thai restaurant competing with them 2 doors down and they're still here. I can see why, their food is delicious and they have great customer service. I always enjoy coming here after visiting Vroman's across the street. I've had their green curry, pad kee mao, tried the fried sweet and sour fish, and their fried rice. Everything was amazing. In particular though, the fish and fried rice were standouts. Most flavorful rice I've ever had, and the fish was fantastic! So crispy despite being smothered in a delicious sauce that's different from Chinese sweet and sour. I think theirs has tamarind among other things.

PARKING: Parked in a lot near the Pasadena Playhouse and walked over. SEATING: There are lots of seats inside and outside but they fill up quick! Came to eat here before a play at 7PM at the Playhouse and got there around 5:10PM. Inside was completely full but outside had seating. It was nice! But there was a 20 minute wait after we sat down. SERVICE: It seemed a bit slow as I was sat outside but I didn't need much. They took the order and the food came out promptly. Just didn't see anyone again until the check and boxes were needed. No complaints really. I'm sure they are attentive when they aren't slammed. FOOD: Wow! Food came out quick and piping hot! The appetizers were amazing! The way they breaded the calamari had such an interesting contrast with the squid that I kept going back to it! So flavorful especially with the sauce. The pad thai was amazing! The right firmness with the noodles and the taste was phenomenal! Wish they added more shrimp as there were only 2 but I get it. There was plenty of chicken though! Chicken in every bite and a healthy amount of beansprouts. Was even better with the pickled chili. OVERALL: Usually I get Blaze before watching a play at the Playhouse but this will be my new spot to go to now. Just a great spot with great vibes!!

Food is great, space is great, and service is especially lovely. Absolutely adore this place.

Nine & Nine did not disappoint! I stopped by at lunch for the first time and thought that the lunch special was great value, considering it was $12.50. I think it's definitely hard to come by nowadays, especially at dine-in restaurants. The lunch special comes with an entree, salad, and a choice of egg rolls or dumplings. I ordered the lunch yellow curry with two egg rolls (which were sooo delicious). The yellow curry was perfectly creamy and spicy. My only complaint is that the beef was on the dry side. Service was great. Only thing is parking there's limited street parking and it's all metered.

Their chicken fried rice is so amazing I wish I took a picture! The ladies are all very nice and always say hi and thank you. Very cosy and homey.

I came here for mango sticky rice and a Singha beer. Before i was even half done eating the rice and mango, they brought the check and stuck it in the middle of the table. Then, they came back every 5 minutes to ask if I wanted to pay the bill although I hadn't finished my food. One lady went through all options, do you want to Apple Pay, do you want visa, do you want to pay cash???? Pressure, pressure, pressure to turn the table and get you out of the place. Did I mention that I still hadn't finished my food? Food was good. Singha beer is always nice, but if they want to turn tables to maximize profits, they need to set a time limit and hold all diners to the limit.

This place is nice for small groups or family! Very friendly people, plus the food here is amazing. It's good to share food here or to eat on your own. Either way, it's good portion size to share and hot. I tried one of the spicy noodles they had and the yellow curry. So great and amazing!

It consisted of lettuce, avocado, corn, black beans, jicama, tomatoes, onion, quinoa, krispies, kale, cilantro, and cotija. The lettuce wasn't too fresh and there were some that were yellow green but not a big deal. It was packed with flavor even without the chipotle vinaigrette (relieved I got it on the side because I wasn't s big fan). The avocado was very fresh and plentiful. I added chicken for extra $4.74 and it was very tender! Overall, I enjoyed the salad but a bit pricey so it was a good one time experience! The Chicken Pesto Caprese ($14.10) was pretty good. It consisted of chicken, mozzarella, red peppers, pesto, and mixed greens. The greens were very fresh and the sandwich was packed with flavor. The chicken was a little dry but not a big deal. There was a lot of red pepper and it was a bit overwhelming so I wished there wasn't so much. Really enjoyed the pesto since it it wasn't too salty and was the cherry on top to the sandwich! I also really liked that the bread was soft and fresh. Got the "Not so Fried" Chicken Sandwich ($13.68) - 1/2 portion and it came with a side (paid extra $1.26) for tomato basil soup. It consisted of chicken, krispies, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, onions, and herb aioli. The bread was very fresh and soft. I'm glad I got this in half portion because I thought this was just ok and nothing special. The tomato basil soup was very oily and salty so wasn't too enjoyable. The Pomegranate Mint Lemonade ($5.10) was sooo sweet. It was refreshing but the mint was a little too overpowering. Definitely recommend adding ice and/or water otherwise it's way too sweet! Overall, the sandwich and salads were a bit pricey but definitely one of the better spots for sandwiches and salads in terms of quality and quantity!

I tried the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Margherita Pizza. My most candid thoughts: Margherita Pizza: This resembled more of a flat bread than a pizza. The sauce they used tasted like tomato pasta sauce from a jar and not necessarily pizza sauce. The dough tasted somewhat undercooked and thick, and the sauce and cheese did not stick well to the dough. Very bland in flavor. Huge portion though for the price. 5.5/10 Chicken Caesar Wrap: Very underwhelming as the chicken tasted dry and rough. I really liked the Spicy Caesar sauce though. It really spiced things up and added more flavors to the bland wrap. Portion was great and lettuce was fresh. I loved that they added avocados. However, it was definitely not the best Chicken Caesar wrap I've ever had and I would most definitely not be dying to order it again. 7/10 Parking is convenient as there is a free lot nearby. The quality is so consistent that it's become one of those places I can count on every single time. The Pacific Bowl with grilled salmon absolutely delivers. Every ingredient in the bowl works together so well that each bite has the perfect balance of freshness, seasoning, and crunch. It's one of those meals that reminds you healthy food can still be incredibly satisfying. The chicken pesto sandwich deserves just as much love. The chicken was juicy and tender, the pesto added the perfect amount of flavor without overpowering everything else, and the bread held everything together beautifully. I still have a lot more on the menu I want to try, but if the rest of it is anywhere near as good as these two dishes, I'll be coming back often. On May 7th, 2026 at 3:30 PM I ordered for pickup my usual meat and potatoes plate. Weirdly, the order was ready for pickup in a couple of minutes when usually it would be ready in 10 minutes which would have been less sketchy. I should have trusted my instincts. I walked in to pick up my order and there were zero customers around, usually there are a few customers eating at the tables. Sign that the quality has dwindled and the regulars aren't retuning. I get back home to treat myself (I spent $28 for the meal plus a drink.) Much to my dismay I opened the plate and was so disappointed. It was half of what normally comes in the box but the potatoes were stacked high and of course extremely oily. I was like ok let's just eat this because I don't have more time to find another place to get food plus I've already splurged. The chicken was undercooked and rubbery and came with no chicken breast like it normally does just some boney legs. Since I was so hungry and paid the extra money for "light" chicken I still ate it. I'm sick now, the night of May 8th I'm still on the toilet. Save your money and go to Zankou if you want good rotisserie chicken they've been doing it right in LA since the 80s. Or Costco; 5$ chicken unless you want a $32 dollar chicken here to make you and your family sick and poor.
