Every time we visit Durango we eat at Nini's and it never disappoints! Always delicious!

SO. GOOD. My husband raved about this place when he lived in Durango, so we stopped in with my dad midmorning for an early lunch. I vaguely remembered my last time here but noticed that they started serving breakfast! I was excited to try something different and ordered their avocado toast. It was delicious! Be sure to read through the description of the dish as it's definitely not what I would've expected for an avo toast. The thick slices of toast are topped with creamy scrambled eggs, bacon, kale, and some balsamic. It was absolute perfection. The entire dish was delicious: I literally devoured the entire thing nearly instantly. My husband went for his usual quesadilla, which I had a bite of and was delicious as always. I'm glad I chose to venture out and try the avocado toast. I'd definitely order some other items from their breakfast menu. This is definitely a pretty casual spot: you walk up to order and grab any available seat. We were fortunate that the weather was pretty nice as most of their seating is on an outdoor patio. Everyone we encountered service-wise was pleasant and helpful. This has definitely become a Durango regular for us and I know we'll be stopping back during our next trip!

Nini's now has breakfast! (Seriously, this is big news in our little town.) I was amazed by how delicious my breakfast burrito was. It is high protein and seemed to have quality ingredients. Came with a tasty green sauce. Many breakfast choices, including a salmon dish. I work nearby, so this is going to be my go-to spot for breakfast & coffee (a local roast) many mornings now. Still open for lunch and dinner, of course. Dog friendly. Very kind local owners, too.

Quesadilla excellent.

Had barabcoa tacos. Nicely spicy, even with a med. Salsa. Cold beer went very well with them

Nini's rocks. The chicken burrito with tomatillo salsa and toasted on the grill is my favorite. The crew is fun and great as well.

However, we had gone on its closing day and had some great tacos, salad, and ramen. Their birria is rich and meaty with a touch of cinnamon and was awesome as a ramen and taco. Service was efficient and drinks were cold. Guess I'm just writing this to keep my Yelp numbers up...

If you are a lover of well done birria, this is your place. Craving authentic Mexican food? Yep, this is your place. We started with their chips and salsa. I think you can tell a lot by the salsa at a place. Lemme just say, I was so very happy! Their salsa wasn't too chunky, not too thin and they are not afraid to season and add some heat - but hey, don't worry it wasn't too hot if you've got a dad like mine who isn't a fan of "too much spice." Such a good omen. I couldn't decide which marg to try so ordered a flight. Best decision ever. Even as I write this, I'm still hard pressed to choose a favorite. They were all so good. Add street tacos, quesadillas for my mom, elote cob, and switch fries for my dad and we were all happy campers. The flavors were obscenely good. Staff were amazing and stopped by to make sure we were always taken care of: fast and friendly. Best combo ever. The place is also super cute! Loved the bar and simplicity of the concept. Switchback has a quiet elegance while be so very casual. Perfect in my book.

Maybe don't talk shit about the customer in Spanish, especially when it's a white boy that knows Spanish very well. Made me very uncomfortable. then up charged me and didn't just honor the mess up. One of the gentlemen was being nice and so I started talking in Spanish to him and so he was nice. Lady that checked me out, seemed to get mad at me for asking for another chip even though I got nachos and a naked burrito and they say it's free chips. I got two things, thought I would get two chips. It just was not respectful in any way, I hadn't been here before they knew that. But good way to have me not want to come back. Portions weren't impressive either. Food was good, but idk the way I was treated and spoken about right in front of my face was beyond disrespectful. And then to just up charge me still. Thank you to the First Gentleman that explained how it worked, and the gentleman that I spoke in Spanish with. However I'm probably Never coming back.

They were tired from the day and zipped into their stroller so they could only see out the front and had a cozy bed where they were soon snoozing fitfully. We were seated in their patio area which is shaded by solar panels. So cool! We soon had waters, chips and salsa and our menus to decide. The salsa had a wonderful hit of heat. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We placed our orders. My daughter chose two Camarones tacos that had grilled shrimp, corn tortilla, lettuce, onions, cilantro and salsa. She also got one Carne Asada taco that had grilled beef, corn tortilla, lettuce, onions, cilantro and salsa. She said the meat was delicious and the toppings were super fresh. My husband chose the Fajita Taco Salad with chicken, the salad had onions, peppers, beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. He really liked the crunchy shell and the salad was tasty. I chose the L.A. Quesabirria Tacos. It came with 3 tacos on corn tortillas and consumé for dipping. The tacos were filled with melted Monterrey jack cheese, onions and cilantro. It was decadently delicious. I would come back.
