We went for my mom's birthday and they were the kindest, they gave her a little card signed by staff sitting at the table and gave her a small glass of champagne. The food was quick and absolutely delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. The setting of the restaurant is cute and cozy. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back!

Let's start this by saying I had a reservation - so, based on that, my table should be a guarantee. That's what a reservation is. We checked in and the host at the kiosk started a scrolling, found me, then started panic looking around the restaurant for a table. Nothing open. "Overbooked what's going on etc etc" So we had to wait. Which would be ok and it was - so we stood over by the bar. Then other folks checked in while the tables continued to be full. A party walked in - immediately sat in a table that was opened - I could feel my pulse in my eyeballs. Bartender kept checking on us asking if we wanted a drink. That's how you know you're getting popped. So we waited. Table opened up - and we were sat. The host came over - apologized said drinks were on house so I ordered an old-fashioned. It was good. We started with the bruschetta which I expected to be standard but ended up being anything but. Thick hearty sauce on top of a large slice of bread with a burrata. The sauce - was exceptional. Wow. We ordered our entrees - me going with the cacio e Pepe. I asked for the crispy brussel sprouts as a side knowing that the portion of pasta would be on the chic side rather than the family style place. The sprouts came out with the bruschetta. Lol. Oh well. The pasta was ok - kind of on the bland side - wasn't a lot pf pepper to it - and really lacked sauce on top as a garnish but the noodles were al dente. We shared an apple crostada for dessert which burned thru my mouth and into my nose - which meant it was fresh. The problem that keeps this at 3 rather than 4 was our waitress: smaller blonde girl who, after the appetizers, tried to give us dessert menus then doubled down asking if we decided. She was pretty lapse on service. Then halfway thru said she was heading out for the day and another guy would handle us. Ok? She was still there when we left. Above average food, just needs more flavor and better service.

Nizza was the best Italian food I've ever had outside of Italy. Everything was absolutely delicious including the gluten free calamari. The pasta was so soft and fresh. I've never tasted anything like it. It literally melted in my mouth. If I had more time on my trip, I would have returned to Nizza. I dined with someone who has gluten allergies, and she was able to have gluten free bread, pasta and calamari. That was a huge plus, and she also loved her food. She reported she couldn't taste the difference between normal and the gluten free. I would eat here again and will be recommending it to anyone visiting NYC!

Really enjoyed our meal at Nizza. I chose this spot because it has a robust gluten-free menu including gluten-free gnocchi. My partner never gets to eat gnocchi and she loved their gluten-free dish! I had the gluten-filled gnocchi and enjoyed it as well. The red sauce was oddly unimpressive, but the gnocchi itself was soft and fluffy. The melty mozzarella tasted a little smoky from being cooked in the wood fired pizza oven, which made it all the better. The goat cheese and roasted beets paired perfectly and were a great start to the meal. The chocolate torte was a decadent end cap to the meal along with the yummy espresso martini! The service was great at the bar and once we got seated. We arrived early for our reservation and the allowed us to take up what little open space there was near the bar. The bartender quickly made me a drink while we waited even though he was plenty busy. Great service! Unless you want to lurk around waiting for people to leave their bar stools so you can pounce, make reservations! Overall, great pre-show dinner if you book a table ahead of time.

Went to NYC for the night with my sister and stopped here after a show! It was so cozy in here and the perfect way to end the night. It was so delicious and the perfect comfort meal. The arugula salad with fresh parm was also delicious!

This place is every bit as cute as it looked in photos. The service was warm and wonderful. The food was great in that my friend has a severe gluten allergy and they could make everything on their menu gluten free. My friend was thrilled to have pasta.

Great service foods always consistent Anthony. Who greats you is phenomenal. My waiter Keaton was spectacular. All around was a great experience. Try to get an outside table makes it more pleasurable.

Came here to carb loaf before the NYC 1/2 marathon. The space is beautiful and inviting with the decor. The staff was extremely friendly and agile. I had a glass of red wine with linguine with shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, tomatoes, calabrian chilies, in white wine. It had a nice kick to it. If you don't like spicy ask to have the chilies removed. All of the fish in this dish was fresh and flavorful. For dessert we shared tiramisu and ricotta cheesecake. Both were divine!

Been twice now and really love this place! Lots of seating for Hell's Kitchen/midtown with a full gluten free menu available for those who need it. Bread is amazing, pizzas are delicious and the perfect personal size. The espresso martini was also one of my faves and the dessert was amazing too. Service was fantastic both times!

Took my Fiancé here to eat for his birthday, prior to visiting a broadway show . We had reservations and got seated as soon as we walked in. We ordered the eggplant Rollatini as an appetizer . We had the margherita and Quattro Formaggi pizza as our mains and the strawberry rhubarb crostata and tiramisu for desserts . The eggplant was not our favorites at all. So much that we couldn't finish it . The pizza's tasted really good . The sauce on both pizzas were yummy . We also had leftover pizza for home . The tiramisu tasted amazing . I wasn't a fan of the strawberry rhubarb it was more in the bitter side, however, the icecream tasted amazing . Service was amazing , bathrooms were clean and it wasn't really crowded . The waiter Sebation ( hope I remembered his name correctly ) was amazing .

All I wanted was a bowl of spicy rigatoni close enough to get to the theatre with no delay. IDK why but rigatoni feels theatre-y. Anywho, got to Nizza and it was packed. I figured there was no way I could order, eat and still make the show on time. Well thanks to Emma and Keaton, mission accomplished! And thanks to the fine folk of NYC, a wonderful people watching good time as I enjoyed my meal. Super cute. Super food. Super service. Thank ya Nizza!

Ambiance: calming and a warm environment with a wine decor that is uniform. That calms me. Don't judge. Service: the staff was awesome. She recommended the best dishes. So friendly and attentive. Wishing her luck with her career on broadway. Food: The focaccia was so amazing. The olive oil and cream dipping sauce was to die for. Artichoke was great. The pasta special that was recommended was so good. The Branzino one of the best I've ever eaten.

I ate here with the wife and kids a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. They start you with focaccia bread that is warm, fluffy and crispy crust with a herbed oil saucer with a giant dollup of smooth Ricotta cheese right in the middle. So good, i could have just kept eating it for my meal. Fantastic. Then we got eggplant rolatini for app, which was very nice with a rich tomato sauce. My wife had the gnocchi for main course which was also perfect - light and soft with great sauce and cheese. The rest of us all got personal pizzas: Margherita, pepperoni, and meatball. These were all so good, but the meatball pizza wad my favorite. They came out piping hot, and the crust was perfect. Just the right amount of chew to the dough and crisp at the same time. Generous toppings, but balanced properly so you taste everything: the sauce, the cheese, the seasoning, the crust. Definitely get a pizza here- any of them! Our server was super-nice, attentive without being overbearing, and made good recommendations. The personal pizzas are large enough that we all had leftovers for tomorrow. Even though we were full, the food was so good we had to get dessert. The chocolate torta was rich and satisfying and the hazelnut gelato with an espresso shot poured over it was unique and flavorful. Just a few minutes from the theaters, if you're seeing a show, dont miss this place

You can either take the stairs or the elevator. If you opt for the elevator, there's complimentary wine set up that you serve yourself. This would be great if the elevator took longer, but you are already there before you can finish pouring. I like that they have couches for you to sit at while you wait for your table. It's an open kitchen and you can see all of the action. The energy felt great here. We ordered the cast iron focaccia and Tuna Tonnato. The Focaccia is probably the best I've ever had. It was light and airy and not what a traditional focaccia would taste like. The crust had a nice crisp to it. It was brushed with olive oil and finished with salt. Just perfect and highly recommend. It came with a tomato chili sauce, which tasted good, but was not needed for this. We ordered the tuna to pair with the bread and it was a great combo. I ended up ordering the hangar steak and it was good. Full of flavor and the chimichurri sauce was a nice touch. Though, I would have like the taste of the beef to come out more. The marinade overpowered the meat IMO. My wife got the Rigatoni alla Gricia. I like the pasta and it was bouncy, but the dish was too salty though. We ended the night with the basque cheesecake and I have to say that it wasn't my favorite. The texture seemed off. Normally basque cheesecake is smooth and creamy, but this was a little lumpy like when you over cook eggs in a dessert. Overall, the service was great and the vibes of the restaurant was on point. The food didn't blow me out of the water, but it was good. I would come back here for the focaccia though.

There are numerous locations now in the city but this was my first time going and I was definitely eyeing it for awhile. They do weekday lunch specials of $14 pastas, boozey weekend brunches for around $24/25(not including food), and $12 Sunday dinner specials on entrees as well as happy hours on weekdays from 4-7pm that include: $7 snacks, $8 wine, $5 beer, $9 spritzes, and $9 wells. I happened to come in for Labor Day Brunch on Saturday. We both said we were going to do unlimited but honestly could only finish about a pitcher of mimosa and they only charged us for the one pitcher was the nice part. I went with Carbonara Pasta and my boyfriend had the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich with fries. I'm not gonna lie, I've never gone to aycd brunch and have not finished my food but I could not finish my entree it was so massive and filling. I haven't had a pasta this rich in ages and it was so so good and I am all for not having those skimpy little portions. He couldn't finish his sandwich either. I tried one of the fries and it was nicely battered thick cut wedge fries. Maybe I haven't been eating out alot lately but I was legit impressed. The staff was wonderful and thoughtful. The cafe in itself is very cute and Italian with black and white marble in the bathrooms, white marble bar top, hanging plants, interesting light fixtures. I'm definitely going to make a point to come back soon.

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.

The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. There are several places around the city that I feel can deliver a similar meal and experience without quite as much hype. That's not to say I didn't enjoy L'Artusi, because I absolutely did. It just didn't separate itself from some of the other really good Italian restaurants I've visited. Service was great, the atmosphere was nice, and overall we had a very enjoyable dinner.
