Spinach and cheese bagel with Garden Veggie schmear

This is my go to Noah's NY Bagel shop and I often stop by here in the mornings for coffee and bagels. Today I was extremely disappointed with the lady employee at the cashier. She seemed friendly at first while I was waiting but her attitude quickly changed once there was an issue entering my rewards phone number. I ended up having to scan my rewards instead. We ran into another problem with the credit card process. She could tell I was getting stressed at one point and even dropped my bagel but continued to just glare at me and have mean demeanor. The interaction was very unfriendly and I would have appreciated more kindness and patience from the cashier.

Love me some Noah's Bagel's . They're consistent. Fresh. And delicious. Staff is usually super friendly and efficient. The choices are good, and the menu is good quality. Nothing like the bagel spots you'll experience in NY, but a good substitute

I finally got to try Noah's Bagels and it was delicious! I orders the lox and the pastrami. The service was fast, waited 5 minutes after ordering. The ambiance was fast paced. Some ordering at the register but the majority of people coming in for their online orders. I didn't want to do online order because it was my first time there. I wanted to see what options they had. I gave it 4 stars because the toppings on my lox sandwich was a little big (thick cut) of onion, tomato and red onion. Wish I got more lox but that's my only complaint. I would come back, maybe order online next time

Noah's Bagels is one of my favorite bagel places! I've always had a great experience here. My personal favorite is the cheese bagel it's perfectly baked and always tastes fresh! I love the cheese that's toasted on top. I also enjoy their breakfast sandwiches too. They have a variety of bagels and options to choose from The service is efficient and the staff is friendly. It's perfect for breakfast or a midday snack. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious bagel spot.

Went there and got 4 bagel sandwiches. Got 3 lox bagels and one bacon and egg bagel. Quick service. Nice clean store.

Ancient Grains bagel. Made my own breakfast sandwich.

It's been awhile since I stopped to get some bagels and I immediately remembered how much I like Noah's.. soft and chewy and always fresh made. This time I purchased 2 ancient grains, and 4 plain bagels. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I can't guarantee a quiet experience as this location is centrally located between varios businesses so it gets busy. Maybe avoid lunch time rushes. Either way bagels always hit the spot. I typically make my own bagel sandwiches with their bagels. I made a breakfast bagel sandwich today. I added egg whites, spinach, turkey, and cheddar. Amazing sandwich. Don't sleep on Noah's.

Noah's is great for a quick bagel on the go. The chorizo avocado breakfast sandwich was good, though a little messy. The service is quick and efficient, it's easy to grab your food on your way to work but not much room for visiting with people, it' was a little cramped during the busy morning shift.

Texas Brisket Sandwich with 2 Eggs on Challah Bread (9.99) 11-18-2024
    Alana M.

I've driven by this location many times, but have never stepped inside. I inadvertently signed up for their rewards program and so thankful I did! For my birthday, I was sent an offer for a free Egg Sandwich with any purchase. So, I came to get an Egg Sandwich and a coffee. You can get more than just bagels here. They have muffins, cookies, and pastries. Don't come here for coffee lattes, go next door to Starbucks. Their options are brewed hot coffees and Cold Brews. They have teas and other beverages available. I looked at all the Yelp pictures before I got here so I'd have an idea as to which sandwich I would want. Bagel Sandwiches are tough for me to chew through, so I was a little hesitant to get my Egg Sandwich on a Bagel. I saw the Texas Brisket (Smoked Beef Brisket, Cheddar with Smoky Chipotle Aioli on a Cheddar Jalapeño Gourmet Bagel). Everything sounded great except for the bagel. I asked if I could get it on a Challah Bread and the cashier told me I could. Yay! I loved all the ingredients in this sandwich! I got it with 2 eggs and that made it more filling. The brisket was so tender and flavorful, I thought it was just going to be okay, but I was delightfully surprised! The sandwich was super delectable! I got a hot coffee. For the hot coffee choices, they had a Dark and a Medium Roast, a Vanilla Hazelnut, and a Decaf Coffee available. Once you get your cup, it is self-service. You can choose what you want. To fix up your coffee, they have various sugar packets, Half & Half and 2% Milk. I was a little bit surprised they didn't have Soy or Almond Milk as an option. The inside is a little sparse. There are photos of New York life reminding you that this is a NY Bagel place. As for seating, there's only one low counter with 2 chairs and a taller counter for standing at. There are tables outside. I'm not sure if they are for Noah's, Starbucks, or shared. I didn't know that when you ordered ahead though the App, that you'd have a Free Hot or Iced Coffee Reward with a purchase! Next time! Since I didn't technically have a bagel, I do need to return to try one!

Went here on a whim as I was passing by on my way somewhere. I ordered a breakfast bagel for the first time, and to my surprise it was actually good. Who would have thunk it, certainly not me. I was pleasantly surprised. It was so good, I ate it right there in the car. I had some time to burn so why not enjoy it instead of eating and driving. The service was good. I was greeted as I entered and was helped as soon as I was ready to order. The place was clean , bright and welcoming. The had tables outside as well if you wanted to get some sun while eating. I liked this place and will definitely be back. Oh I've had their bagels and cream cheese before at work when someone brought bagels. They are delicious as well.

His espresso martini was so delicious! It was my first time trying one and it did not disappoint. My partner and I had the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the shrimp taquitos, while on the pricier side it is definitely worth it. The spicy tuna crispy rice was so rich in flavor, and the crispy rice truly was crispy. The shrimp taquitos were unlike anything i've tried before! I was expecting some classic taquitos filled with shrimp but this place really goes above and beyond with this dish. The shrimps were wrapped (as you can see in the photo) and it was so good!! I definitely plan on coming back if i'm ever in the area. The ambience of this place is beautiful too, we came during the day but I really want to see how it is at night. I would say this is a great spot for a date night with a partner or friends.

The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

And that much is true, I went in 2023 because I wrote a Yelp then for that experience. And I continue to believe it is a "solid choice." I can see how it can lend itself, and be enjoyable, to many eaters. And how its beach adjacent location draws many sandal wearers and surfers gone business casual for the night. So I will begin my focusing on what I thought was our servers faux pa. My friend Conrad and I hang out on spin mode, with the cycle never really stopping. So we kind of have an implicit expectation that sometime during our time together we will break bread. But on this ocassion, I had already eaten and he had not. This does not mean that his hunger would be true until we parted ways. We could eat together, even if I was not eating. We were by the joint so we decided to eat there because I wanted to share with him what I have found to be consistently solid and pleasant. While we were there we got a table for two. We informed our server that only Conrad would be eating, since I had already. And he gave a look. Yes, a look that I interpreted as a mix of confusion and judgement- which together makes out of place bewilderment. Why? I can totally see a pair of folks being too embarrassed to go into a restaurant, especially, a nice place like Manhattan Beach Post if only one was eating. Again, I can understand that easily. I mean people are shy and unwilling to insert themselves in situations that are non standard. But then there is other people. The people who wear PJs to the store, who rock hair of a purple shade, and well, others have grown so old that eating with a friend while they are not eating, is not embarrasing, rather just the steps of an unplanned evening. To be more specific, I think the server should have saved his "not even a drink" and proceeding confused face to himself. Conrad and I had valid reasons for entering and not dining as a duo and he should have responded with undersstanding, not just like I had said I was so hungry I could eat bigfoot raw. In short contrast, I offer the host of the place, Crystal. While eating with Conrad I did taste just a wee bit of his four cheese ear shaped pasta- Orichette- and his biscuit. The biscuit is strong but with the maple butter it sings hard, give this buttered biscuit a stage at Madison Square garden or that famous opera house in Sydney. The Orichette was also super good but one of the cheeses had like this chalky taste. It did not taste bad, but also not good, which made me engage with the dish at an analytical way. And personally, when food makes me think, I love it. Crystal heard a version of this dialogue and engaged with me saying that she feels the same way because it makes her feel like a food critic. She also asked me to go when I was hungry. Service like hers makes a place shine. Service like the server gave us makes me question why there was no guard at the door ensuring that both of us had an appetitte. The decor of the place is one that I have seen in the recent the weeks---- brown with live plants. It is lovely. It is both muted and alive. This place has been around for years and will survive my review. And I do plan to go again. And I will make sure to be hungry. I am not sure if I can guarantee that for the person I take but I will try my best.

The Strand House offers good food, goodservice, and amazing views and vibes at reasonable, but upscale prices. We came with my family for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Off the lunch menu we had the Italian panini ($29), which was a surprisingly complex sandwich with mortadella, salami, onions, lettuce, fresh Marzano tomatoes, and many other vegetables. It was served with an exceptional set of fries, which had a great amount of garlic and the perfect blend of crisp on the outside and softness on the inside, along with tangy ketchup. The children got the pasta bolognese ($14), which was a standard bolognese, although the pasta was a little overcooked. We also got a child salmon ($21), a surprisingly generous piece of fish, well cooked with a somewhat crispy exterior and soft interior alongside broccolini and whipped mashed potatoes. The service was decent - our server collected our order, checked on us appropriately, and generally took care of us throughout our visit. As the pictures suggest, the interior is quite upscale, scattered across three floors with a view overlooking the main road and the beach itself. This led to an excellent, breezy atmosphere and spectacular views, perfect for a hot day. Prices are a little on the elevated side, but not excessive, given the highly popular location of this restaurant and excellent views. I also ordered a Breakfast croissant, well because I'm a foodie, which was absolutely delicious! Super flakey croissant with egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon, spicy mayo. Egg and bacon cooked just right all the flavors came together like a perfect bite every time. Even the tomato was red and brought a nice touch to the whole sandwich. The waitress was super busy as she was the only one running the front. She crushes it I've seen bigger restaurants struggle with more staff and less people. Thank you so much for letting change tables mid dinning to sit outside is the sun!!! I was truly impressed because this was the type of restaurant I was looking for this morning near my hotel and had healthy breakfast options and was local! Absolutely coming back to this gem anytime I'm in the area.. Thank you so Toast & Thai love your little cafe! Can't wait to try the other menu items, like the Biscotti's lovers waffles!!!

After seeing the great reviews, I decided to give Toast & Thai a try. Unfortunately, my experience…read morewas just okay. I didn't leave disappointed, but I also didn't leave feeling like I'd want to come back. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and has a nice atmosphere. It feels like one of those places where you'd meet up with friends, relax, and chat for a while. Visually, it makes a great first impression. The food, however, was average. I ordered the Best Avocado Toast, and while it wasn't bad, it's hard to justify the price. At the end of the day, it's avocado on toast, and I've honestly had more flavorful versions elsewhere for less money. The smoked salmon toast was also underwhelming. The salmon surprisingly lacked much of that smoky flavor, and the bread felt thicker than the toppings themselves, making the balance a little off. The shrimp Tom Yum soup was probably my biggest disappointment. At $14, I expected something with bold, authentic flavors. Instead, it tasted fairly basic. It had the citrusy notes you'd expect, but it was sweeter than I prefer, likely because of the amount of cherry tomatoes used. The service is where things became frustrating. We waited around 20 minutes before our order was taken, then roughly another 30 minutes before food started coming out. What made it more frustrating was that everything arrived at completely different times. The matcha latte came first, then the Tom Yum soup, and it was another 20 minutes before the rest of the entrées arrived. We ended up waiting so everyone could eat together instead of one person eating while everyone else watched. Normally I don't mind waiting if a restaurant is busy, but based on many of the Yelp reviews, this doesn't seem like a one-time occurrence. A common theme is that there's only one server running the dining room. Our waitress was friendly and polite, but she was clearly overwhelmed, juggling six or more tables by herself. I don't blame her--I blame the staffing. At one point I even watched someone wait over 30 minutes for two specialty drinks because the server was busy with other tables. That really summed up the experience. If the food had completely blown me away, I could overlook the long wait. Unfortunately, the flavors were simply average, so the overall experience didn't justify the prices or the time spent waiting. Would I come back? Probably not. I'm glad I gave it a try because it's a nice-looking café, but with average food, premium prices, and consistently slow service, there just wasn't enough to make me want to return.
