Super delicious & lots of vegan options. My favorites are the vegetable dumplings(potstickers), spring rolls, any of the entrees with tofu, and the tofu miso ramen soup. The service is pretty okay, nothing special. The food is always made quickly & seasoned very well. Also, super great price point. I usually don't like sweet potato fries, but the ones here are delicious. There Re so many options and they make menu accommodations if you ask. I've been on an Asian food kick recently but was trying to compromise with the wife on something that wouldn't be super difficult. I've been to the midtown location and have always had a good experience there. I've never actually had ramen before and maybe there are better places for it in the city. I had the spicy beef ramyum soup - it was incredible. I wanted to become Japanese so bad after this. I'm regretting the past 30 years when I have NOT had ramen. It had all the tastes that any human could want. I instantly thought of a 5 star yelp review. Finally, the service at the Decatur location has had some not so great reviews but our server was excellent. Very nice, food came on time, and very attentive. Decided to give this place a try since there was a Scoutmob. I really, really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it was just mediocre. There was nothing bad about the food, but I can't say there was anything special about it. I had the fried rice and tasted a couple of appetizers (fried dumplings and cream cheese wontons). The service let a lot to be desired as well. The waiter seemed very nice, but the service was a bit slow on this particular night. I didn't have a bad experience, but nothing was really good enough to make me go out of my way to make a return visit. read more

Ok, now I am a noodle lover! a complete noodle lover. So why havent I been here before? because i am in love with Doc Chey's: the family-style eating, the fens-shui, teh brightness, the lightness, the easiness about the entire environment. My coworkers always speak about noodles, so while in Decatur I had to go. Noodles on a cold, breezy day...comfort food. anywhoo, i was disappointed by the noodle menu, it didn't have anything out of the ordinary; lo mein, vege stir-fry, miso udon... To have the name of noodles, you would think there would be a vast variety of plates that featured...well, noodles! there is only 7 dishes that contain noodles. i got the spicy basil noodle dish. I was a good serving, it was the right consistency of spiciness, but I tasted no basil. What a shame, b/c that is what i was looking for. the noddles were way overcooked, there were literally slimy and mushy. The place is called noodles, why don't they know how to cook them correctly? My cousin had this citrus glazed salmon with rice. she really enjoyed it and completely cleared her plate. It came with a side of steamed green beans covered with this ginger soy sauce. delectable. Scoutmobbing strikes again-- Went for drinks and dinner with one of my fave girlfriends and we unfortunately had Grace as our waitress. She was quite lackluster, did not bring us silverware or napkins, and we never saw her between taking our order and when we had to flag her down for the check. Things Missing: Water Refills? My Sriacha/Soy Sauce that I requested? How's the food? Do you need anything (like cutlery and napkins?) Basic waiter service? Just terrible. The food was fairly decent, and my friend's was too spicy to tolerate. The coconut soup was the only coconut chicken soup I've ever had that tasted watery and quite tasteless (except for SALT). The shrimp was undercooked, the chicken was tough, and all of the food was just super salty. I didn't enjoy this experience at all, except for my fave girlfriend, and I don't think we'll be back. Nota Bene: I wouldn't pay with a card here. I and others have been overcharged on the cards (or charged twice) and there's just too much to do than to hound a restaurant about making mistakes on debit card charges. read more

My husband and I decided to try Noodle on a whim one night - it was a little late on a Friday night and most restaurants in downtown Decatur were packed, but we noticed that Noodle was pretty empty and had outside dining. I must admit, we were a little suspicious of it being so empty, and now I have to wonder WHY because the food is delicious. I definitely recommend the Famous Fried Rice. It's soo good. Whenever i leave San Francisco, i try to sample some Asian food in the city I am visiting. Urban metro areas like Atlanta have plenty of Asians, so I had hoped for a little better noodle meal. The service was excellent, but the decor was a little messy. The day I came in the bar was a mess with unloading of boxes happening DURING the lunch hour. More of a 3.5, if you are jonesing for some noodles, this place will do, but on my next trip to the area, I might take a little time and seek out some other noodle options. read more

The downhill slide :( I used to like this place quite a bit - I considered it what Doc Chey's wanted to be. The owner has always been super-friendly, the ingredients seemed fresh and they had an interesting and tasteful variety. But maybe it's just living so close, or maybe it's an actual decline in the food, but yeah...it's become monotone, uninteresting and I've had more than one wilty salad. It's not horrible, and if it was super-cheap, I'd eat it for those HOLY HORSEFEATHERS, I NEED A BIG BOWL OF SALTY NOODLES! But alas, it remains where it is ...'mediocre at best'...and I always feel a little sorry for it. Very mediocre, and my expectations for places like these are not high at all. After my bf and I arrived, we were promptly seated. However, our waitress did not show up until at least 10 minutes later. She was nice and pretty helpful when I asked some questions about the menu, which I appreciated. Our food took FOREVER to arrive. We didn't order anything complicated, I got the Spicy Basil Noodle Bowl and my bf got the Yellow Curry Noodle Soup. When our food finally got here, everything was extremely salty. That's not the worst of it though; my bf's noodles were so soggy they were disgusting. I thought they were literally going to disintegrate in the bowl. I got my noodles with beef (not bad), he got his with shrimp (overcooked and sad, all 6 of them). After we finished our food, no one came for us for a really long time. We just sat there, with our empty bowls, waiting for our waitress. It took so long that another waiter (who was doing his job properly) took away our bowls and brought us our check. Only at the end did our waitress show up with our receipt to make it look like she hasn't completely forgotten us. We tipped normally, but I didn't appreciate how she received all the tip for only half the work. Overall, bad food, bad service. Will not eat here again :(. read more

We came here for dinner on a whim because I was craving noodles, so what better place to go than a restaurant called Noodle? It was a no brainer, or so I thought. The ambience is chill, and overall, the place looks good. There's some booth and table seating along with a sushi bar and high tops inside. Then there is also an outdoor area that could be nice on a warm day. We didn't venture to the bathrooms so can't comment on that. Our waitress was attentive and nice, as was the seating hostess when we first arrived. Nothing out of the ordinary, good or bad. Onto... The food. I ordered the basil noodles with chicken (sans tomato and added broccoli- which they charged me for), my boyfriend ordered the spicy beef ramyum soup, and we split the Thai fries to start. The Thai fries were good, though nothing to write home about. The best order of the night was the ramen, hands down. It wasn't phenomenal, but it was the best dish on the table. The ramen noodles were well cooked, and the soup base was flavorful and not too salty. My basil noodles were sorely lacking in basil flavor, and the sauce was annoyingly sweet- to the point where I didn't want dessert (which says a lot because I usually eat dessert first-- that's how important it is to me). Some of the chicken in the basil noodles were that gross spongy texture, so needless to say, my noodle craving was not completely satisfied. The odd thing about the whole thing was... I still took the noodles to go and reheat them for lunch the next day... And they tasted waaaaay better (and surprisingly not sweet) than when it was fresh from the kitchen. I guess, if I want noodles from them again, I might order a day early and reheat for best flavor. Ha. Overall, it was ok. We didn't hate it, but we didn't love it. I got the spicy Ranyum ramen noodle soup. Without the egg and kimchi. The soup was spicy but with very little flavor. The beef in the soup was very hard to chew and was over cooked. My wife also found a hair in her food and was not happy about it. She also said that her food had very little taste. The only thing that was good about this place was the dumplings. I have to say this is not my favorite Asian food place in the world but it is a good meal. If you like different Asian dishes but you get overwhelmed by going to some traditional Asian places then this is the place for you. If you really like your Asian food and you are picky about tradition then steer clear. Noodle is a very Americanized Asian food place. I could see my mom and her sisters going her and liking the meal where if they went to some of the places on Buford Hwy they would have a hard time finding something they would want to eat. I will not go out of my way to go here but if I find myself near a Noodle and there was no uniquely Asian food around it is an ok stop. They could improve by making more authentic dishes but I think they would lose their crowd that does not have a taste for some Asian foods. On another note the service was very good to me. Sitting outside was an issue because the tables were not that steady but a fun place to meet a few friends. read more

I am posting this reluctantly because I used to really like the food. Sadly, they seemed to have changed all of their recipes (or at least most?). Change doesn't necessarily mean bad, but in this case I was very disappointed. I tried the Thai Peanut Noodle and Lo Mein as well as some apps. The peanut noodle was a real let down. It tastes like what I have made from the pre packaged packets I have purchased from the asian section of the grocery store - a taste of Thai I think and you just add coconut milk. That's exactly what these taste like to me. It's a lot less creamy and normally I am all for an egg on my food, but it really doesn't make up for the dish's new shortcomings. The Lo Mein was also disappointing. How can you mess up a dish like that? To me it now tastes like what I can get at any Chinese restaurant open late. Sure, I like it fine, but why pay this much money for it then? They even changed the apps, which was okay. I'm not a fan personally of the new dipping sauce for potstickers. I think it's more japanese and more bitter and I'm not just a fan, but others might be. They also changed the filling on the spring roll and it's like... completely mushy now where before it had some differentiation in texture. I dunno, I just preferred it earlier this year before it all changed. Change can be good, but in this case, I was really unsatisfied by my food and it certainly wasn't worth the money I paid. read more

We were brought dirty plates, the Thai peanut noodle now tastes like crap, they took my son's plate away before we were able to pack it away, and the waitresses huffed and puffed when we asked for things. So the boy and I had a random mid week supper with another couple at Noodle ***in Decatur. The atmosphere was very nice. Interior Design very mod, clean and airy asian simplicity. Service was reasonable if a bit absent-minded. (Forks didn't come till after we were served.) Portions were extremely large for the noodles and salad, for entrees, a bit more reasonable. On their menu they note that "if you don't know what you are ordering to ask" which is a good note, but a rather vague note of "Any menu item may be more or less spicy" might have served the cusotmer better had it been the traditional "this many chili peppers" indicating how hot a dish might be to a customer. Two of the dishes were suprisingly spicy, and we love spicy, but were not expecting it quite at that level. The boy could not eat his food for fear of the wrath o' tummy. Overall, pleasant, but not super fanatastic. And a tad bit pricy for not super fantastic on a weeknight. We had: Noodle's rolls and dumplings: curry rolls, shrimp basil roll, spring roll, veggie dumplings These were the best I think of all the dishes. And they gave you the option of ordering veggie or meat, and fried or steamed...a nice touch. The dipping sauces were all full of flavor, as were the rolls...no bland cabbage only items here. Sichuan Tofu Salad: greens, tofu, scallions, zucchini, soy beans and spicy sichuan sauce. (Good but spicy, may be better with more select greens, the plebian ones on the plate kinda distracted you from the great taste of the tofu.) Crunch grouper in thai sweet chili-sauce: Grouper, lightly fried and wok taossed with tomatoes and scallions, braised in a sweet chili-sauce. This was extremely tasty and very very spicy. The boy was sad. The other couple with us was not, and devoured it for him. Wok tossed udon noodles wih seafood: Fish, shrimp, calamari and mussles in a soy-garlic sauce with onions, mushrooms, carrots and brocoli. (This was nice; the fish was flavorful, but the overall dish a bit blah. ) Miso Udon noddle soup: Japanese miso broth with udon noodles, onions, carrots, mushrooms, and sugar snap peas with tofu. (What you'd expect. ) The boy in the other couple had serious dental work rendering him basically toothless and he enjoyed this thoroughly, so great if you have no teeth. To Drink: Vodka sodas, Vodka tonics and a 420. Though they had a pretty nice asian beer selection. read more

I've eaten at this location and the one in midtown, both of them had scoutmobs, but let me just go ahead and say the food is delicious. I got the fried rice at this location but even better is their Kim chi fried rice, because we all know everyone needs a little extra spice in there life. But seriously the kim chi is very subtle and it adds a relatively unseen kick to a classic dish. Despite the name, I've yet to try any noodle dishes but I've also had their curry and I have to admit I can't see myself trying their noodles in the future because their other Asian dishes were excellent, cheap, and portioned very nicely. If you're in the Decatur area and aching for a tasty Asian treat, Noodle will serve you right. read more

We dined here for the first time tonight. We've been to the Midtown location, so we knew what to expect. I was plesantly surprised to find out that they had a brand new menu that started today, on Jan 1st - a great day for a new menu! It includes sushi. We had the white fin tuna and it was very tasty. Thanks Scoutmob! We found this place thanks to you. Great cozy little restaurant though we had a heck of a time finding parking on a Sat afternoon. The fiance and I both split the japanese tapas appetizer which was delicious. They took a japanese eggplant, slit into 4 pieces with the end still attached and must have steamed it somehow with the most delicious sauce. Incredible steal for $4. The pho that I got was pretty good. Not fantastic, but not bad either. I've had better. The service was fast and friendly and the booths make you feel right at home. Fiance said his coconut chicken curry soup was pretty good. Got the bill and it was less than $10 for lunch for the 2 of us. Sweet! Not the best place for Asian Fusion but not a bad choice if that's what you're craving and you're in the neighborhood. read more

I sometimes go here for lunch. And, it has its good points.. the decor is okay, the staff is nice. Their Thai soup is wonderful and so are their basil rolls. I think some of their pricing is off for lunch - they don't have many smaller lunch portions. But, twice I have gotten the kim chee fried rice and twice it didn't hit the spot for different reasons. The first time I got it I thought that it was okay but thought the amount of kim chee was sparse. The second time I ordered it I thought - okay, I'll just ask for some extra kim chee. It sucked, frankly. It wasn't flavorful. How could that be? It's not like kim chee isn't flavorful? It was bland and some of the veggies didn't seem like they were cooked with the rice, that they were just thrown in. I also got a red bean bun and it was kind of dried out. Pretty disappointing overall. All in all I only ever end up going here because co-wokers like it. But, maybe I'm spoiled by all of my forays on Bu-Hi. read more

Jared, our server, was amazing. Quick with a smile, charming but not annoying, and well versed in their new menu. Two thumbs WAY up for him! Prices are great, portions are filling, and they've done a good job on doing a "fusion" style take on a variety of classic asian dishes. Normally I don't like places that try to mash Chinese dishes with Philippino dishes with Thai dishes with Korean dishes, but the fresh/clean takes on each dish made them very unique. My only comment is that with the wide variety of dishes I expected there to be more sauces/spices easily accessible (plum sauce, or sesame seed oil hot chili oil, etc) to help enhance each dish. And of course, decatur parking is terrible and they don't have much space nearby to accommodate drivers. They roll out a dessert menu next week. I have been going to this Pan Asian spot for a few years, I love the food! I am fond of the dumplings full plate also the beef fried rice. Never thought they would be so far away from customer service they had the fire and it seems that the place really went to hell, with all the staff changes and a unfortunate event they went to my favorite place for dumplings to me feeling dumped. We ordered Edamame and Thai Fries for appetizers. The Edamame is good if you like that stuff, but the Thai Fries were amazing. I loved the mayo + Siracha dipping sauce. Delicious combo! I had the Curry Noodles w/ chicken. It was so yummy! They offer great portions and prices were very reasonable. I had a bite of the Sweet and Tangy chicken and that was yummy too. Not Buford Highway, but not the worst choice (i.e.better than Tim Drum) if you are in the mood for basil rolls and thai(ish) food. I ordered the Peanut Noodle - it was pretty tasty if not authentic, but then again I have a serious peanut sauce addiction so this wasn't a tough sell. The portions are also enormous - I could only finish half of my peanut noodles, so you could easily share one entree with a buddy. I would rate the food 3 stars but I added a 4th because my server (Briana) was one of the friendliest individuals I have ever encountered. Some are complaining about the gratuity being added after tax...this is true and I get it, EXCEPT that when Scoutmobbing I generally tip on the total before the 1/2 off discount (I think you should too), so the automatic tip actually ends up being less than I would usually leave (I gave Briana an extra $2). read more

For our 1st time eating in the City of Decatur, I have to say that this was a really good choice. They have many types of Asian noodles on their menu from Pho to Ramen even a Korean type noodle. They also have fantastic fried rice. Seating was fast for a Friday night around 8:30. Their drink menu was extensive. We started with appies of fried pork dumplings which were ehh and my husband orded a side of kimchii which he loves. Our boys (16 and 15) ordered the Pho and Ramen respectively. The hubs and I split an order the their Famous fried rice with pork and chicken. The Pho was good according to one son but he said it started to taste like one note no depth of flavor. The Ramen was also pretty good and filling for the other son. Our fried rice was yummylicous! Lots of veggies and protein! Even with splitting (although not very hungry), we still brought home food. Enough for one person have a pretty good snack! Staff was really friendly! The waitress outside is the reason we stopped and asked questions since there was not a menu outside! All in all, great surprise for 1st time eating in the city of Decatur. Can't wait to try more offerings! read more
