Great service, and in my opinion, the best pho in town. I order to-go about 2 days a week and have never had a bad experience--even when ordering 20 minutes before closing. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is exceptionally clean. I'm a big fan of the broth in their shrimp pho and appreciate that the broth to noodle ratio is equal. First time coming here and this place was terrible. The waitress was extremely rude to my boyfriend and I. The broth smelt rancid and the portions were too small for the price they were set as. I was little more upset with the services there than the rancid broth and meat. If your going to serve old food, then i at least expect excellent service. NEVER coming here again !!!! read more

The Pho here is not bad, but definitely not the best. It fits the craving for Pho but the broth seemed a little bland and there wasn't very much meat or "goodies" in the broth. The veggies / condiments brought to put in the pho looked a little sad and wilted. Not my favorite, but I may go back to try something else like a rice plate or salad. This place is still very good. The spring rolls are the bomb, and the Pho rocks. The service is nice, and the place is always clean and comfortable. Service started out slow with only 1 person serving. When we got the plate of bean sprouts and basil for our pho, we found strand of hair in the bean sprouts. Our table didn't have enough sauces, spoons or chopsticks and the chopsticks seemed to be dirty (had to take out 7 pairs) and we had to get the sauces from another table since they only had 1 server. They also had a bussing cart out in the dinning area by our table which was unappetizing to see as you eat. The regular and small size pho seemed to be the same size, only difference is they tried to make the regular size seem bigger by having it in a bigger bowl. Would not waste another trip to this place with poor service and dirty utensils. read more

Cool place! Been to dozens of Vietnamese restaurants back in Sacramento and this place is one of my favorites. Customer service is great n friendly and the pho is delicious: broth is full of flavor and not too fatty, the meat is of good quality (briskets have very little fat), and the rice noodles are thick n silky. This is my first experience eating Vietnamese food and I must say I was impressed, so impressed in fact that I have returned 2 additional times. The pot-stickers are fantastic. The shrimp and pork chop plates are great. The noodle bowls are warm and comforting and I am sure I frequent this establishment frequently once winter hits. I love this place! They have some of the best Pho I have had in this area. Even though they don't have the usual " the bowl is better then my face" sized Pho like you would see at Hoe Viet and Saigon, they make up for it in the quality of the meat they have in the Pho. All of their appetizers are yummy besides the chicken nuggets that you can find from the grocery store. I would personally recommend the Shrimp Spring Rolls with their standard peanut sauce, they are awesome! I have yet to try the sandwiches they have added to the menu but I can't wait :) I would tell anyone to give this place a chance, super friendly owners with reasonable prices. read more

I like this place because of the simple delicious entrees. And the reason people may think the soup base is bland is because they dont know how to mix in the different sauces and spices that is offered on the table. There are oyster sauce, chilli paste, sugar, salt, lime, and all the fixings to make a great tasting pho. The broth is good. Since I don't eat meat, I ordered my pho with fried tofu. Sad to say that the tofu had shrunk during my last visit to diced size, and they only gave me about 10 pieces of tofu. Prompt serving time, but don't expect more than this. Price is reasonable - between $6 - 7. read more

I WANT to love this place so bad! I keep going back in hopes of having a change of heart because I LOVE NOODLES. The lady that runs the place is also a server there, and she makes little eye contact, is impersonal, unwelcoming, and acts as if I'm putting her out - this all leads to a negative vibe! The service is poor, and more times than not, I get up to grab my own napkin and utensils. Aside from that, the place has the potential to be quite soothing. The pho is delicious; I used to eat the chicken pho and really enjoyed it and now I eat the fried tofu and it's amazing as well. The summer rolls are great, especially with the peanut sauce. my roommate and i tried this place last year, and we went in thinking we would be getting noodle bowls. more like mongolian bbq i guess. instead it was supposed to be .... soup? it was just broth with noodles in it. my roommate ordered pork and the meat looked kinda gross. i ordered tofu in mine and it was deep fried... so i ate salty water with noodles and soggy fried tofu. the music was weird and distracting. wouldn't recommend, or go back. read more

I feel mixed about this review. I love their shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce, so yummy. However I feel it's pretty hit or miss. I order the same thing every time and sometimes the rice is super dry or the shrimp is totally overcooked. Sometimes the salad is fresh.... and then not so much. Last time we ordered the spring rolls I was literally picking out the funky veggies that were on their way out the door. Also I don't feel like you get much food. All that said my biggest issue is the service. There are a couple younger girls and they are pretty nice and attentive. The lady that works in the day, maybe in her 40's is completely rude. The owner? I actually feel uncomfortable ordering from her. It is very obvious she hates her job (its actually more like she just hates people) and having her wait on you feels like you are a major inconvenience. We're just visiting Chico but I wish we had something like this where we live! The menu is pretty basic but what's on there is great. Simple, fresh, healthy, delicious food prepared quickly. We had Shrimp Salad rolls, Pho, Brown rice with Grilled Chicken and Shrimp and it was all great. I had the child sized Pho and there was very little meat in it but the flavor was great and I was happy with it. My husband had the rice dish, which comes with a very small salad and a crispy pork roll, and the portion was modest but plenty, especially since we shared and order of the Salad rolls. The prices were very reasonable, my child sized pho was $4.50, the rice dish was $7.95, higher than most because of two protein choices. I personally would rather have smaller portions of quality, well made food at lower prices than pay more for more than we need and have the quality suffer. We'll be back next time we visit and may even go back again before we leave town. As to the complaints of no refills and poor service, I've never been at a restaurant that offers free refills on bottled drinks and yes, the staff wasn't checking in on us all the time but we didn't need anything, they'd provided all that was necessary, and it was nice to not have a server hovering over us, but that's a personal preference. We recently dined here and were impressed with the meal we got for the price. The banh mi (MUST TRY!!) and pho combo is a fantastic deal and is very filling. My children shared a wrap and pho combo and even the picky eater was happy. I was pleased with the service and the restaurant was very clean.
