I grew up in the Sierra Nevadas, and this is my favorite ramen place in that area. The waitresses are always super helpful and friendly, and the food is always BOMB everytime I go. Wow! First time eating here and we were beyond impressed. The good incredible. We were so hungry we didn't get a picture but WOW. We got the steak, the chicken and the veggie all with beef broth. Best broth we've ever had. Usually I feel sick after eating just a few bites of pho but I devoured half my bowl and am so excited for the other half later. I'm in a happy sleep food coma! This noodle spot is in the Vons shopping center so convenient for after dinner shopping. Staff was friendly and the pho was decent. So many styles of broth out there that to each there own really rings true. Brisket and rare steak were good quality! All the sprouts and such were fresh(no wilting). I normally order the BBQ Pork, because they never skimp on the meat (hidden at the bottom of the bowl). You get a piece of perfectly cooked and seasoned pork in every bite. Here's a tip: Even if you are not hungry, get a large. You'll want more later. Lastly, the service here goes beyond expectations. Not the most authentic place I've been to, but I enjoyed the experience. The shop was clean, and well taken care of. The workers were nice, friendly. And the food was overall very good. We got the noods, which was delightful. The portion was really small though, so I'd highly getting the large bowl if you are riding this item. Pho was not their strong suit. It tastes like concentrated broth from a seasoning can. I know how it tastes because I have made it myself plenty of times. It's ok. Not bad. But not great either. We ordered both beef and chicken broth, both crap, tasteless water soup, and we ordered 4 bowls they only served a tiny little bit of sprouts and basil, the meat is also so-so, I had to put in lot of soy sauce to make it up for the tasteless water "soup" We love Pho and we had pho in more than 10 cities and by far this place is the worst, I cannot then of any word other than tasteless, the soup is like regular pho beef soup mixed with lot of water , and the rice noodles do not taste good, too soft and kinda melted after staying in the soup for sometime I understand it's mammoth I should not expect too much? The wait time as 30 to 45 minutes but took many customers even though this meant they would be serving at their close time. The pho was excellent. I was disappointed they did not have any more veggie broth but the spinach noodles and OMG sauce were good. I would return. I wish they had some appetizers! I hardly ever leave reviews, but this place really pissed me off. My family love pho, so we were happy to find this place. First off, there were 7 of us, and they cramped us into a tiny table with the last chair added to the end of the table. I would have been ok with it, but there were many empty tables still available. So I asked politely if they can split us up into 2 tables, and the gentleman in charge bluntly said no. Then he said he can split us into 2 small tables, with yet another chair added to the end of the table. But there was a large table that could accommodate all of us, but he refused to let us sit there. When the food came out, we didn't get any vegetables that usually come with pho, so my husband had to go ask for it and they said that it's by request only. We decided not to give them any tip, but when we went to pay they said party of 5 or more has an automatic 18% tip applied! 18% for awful service! I suggest if you have a big party to split up and come in separately. The food was a little salty but good, hence why I gave this review a 3 star. We will not be coming back. read more

This Thai-Chinese Restaurant was one of the highlights of our weekend getaway to Lake Tahoe! The Khao Soi reminded us much of my fav Bún Riêu (Vietnamese Crab Noodle Soup) and the Spinach Noodles with OMG sauce was indeed OMG delish!! Their Thai Iced Coffee completely won us over. Dare to say it was the best we've ever tried! So good that we had to make a stop on our way back for another 2 large orders! Overpriced food for taste that was disappointing. The sauce was not spicy at all. It tasted like watered down fish sauce with some chili, but no heat, lacking so much dimension for Asian cuisine. Very limited options but it's tasty. I had the pho with rare steak and my husband got the egg noodle with pork. My pho broth had a nice herbal flavor and pairs well with the side veggies. My husband's pork was a little too sweet for our liking. Still a good spot to hit up if you don't feel like cooking after a full day of riding. read more
