Nine Nine Noodle with bok choy

Food: The food was nothing special. The nine nine noodles had a good flavor but the shredded pork one was bland and the pork was dry. The pig ears are good and spicy. Service: The service is great. Ambiance: The place is clean and plays good music.

The maocai lets you pick your ingredients, and the tomato soup base is great for non-spicy eaters. Unfortunately the tomato maocai feels watered down and not authentic at all. The wan za mian was another light. Good if you want mild comfort food, skip if you crave traditional bold Sichuan taste. it's relatively affordable

This spot is still good but it is not as great as it was before the ownership change and rebranding. They took out the maocai which is disappointing given that maocai is something you can't find at most mainstream Sichuan restaurants. I got their braised beef noodle soup and it was good. It was just not as good as I remember when this spot was still called Nineway.

Great place to get Chinese braised beef noodle soup! Cheap menu with good portion sizes! I highly recommend and would come back!

Formerly Nine Way Noodles, I tried their Signature Braised Beef Noodle Soup & Nine Nine Noodle, and both were fantastic! The noodles had the perfect chewiness, and the seasoning was spot on. The slightly acidic pickled radish was a great complement to the dishes. Service was excellent, though we dined before it got busy. Two thumbs up! #Noodles #Beef #Soup #Radish #Service

Food is still dang solid considering I get the same thing every time I come here. This time I came with a friend who very recently moved to the Bellevue area to retry their braised beef noodle soup on a Saturday night around 7pm. This time I did not order extra noodles like I did the last time, and the food was more than enough for both of us - we each got the same thing. The noodles by default are a little spicy though you can choose not to have it spicy on their menu, which you still access using a QR code. I'm actually surprised that this time round there was hardly anyone inside to eat when before it was bustling an nearly packed to the point where their waitlist was utilized. Their food still hits really hard, and I still recommend this place for great food that works best with a little spice on it.

Atmosphere Nine Way is a popular Szechuan spot in Redmond with quite a few tables for dine-in. Ordering is all done through your phone, which makes it super easy, and the service was solid. What I Ordered Mala Mao Cai Soup Spicy Wontons Spicy Beef Noodle Soup The Experience I really enjoyed the mala mao cai. It was fun picking out my own toppings, and it felt like a mini hot pot bowl with all my favorites. Super flavorful and delicious. The spicy beef noodle soup was solid too, but the spicy wontons were just okay for me - I probably wouldn't order them again. My friend also enjoyed his beef noodle soup. Final Thoughts Honestly, if this place were near me in California, I'd come here often. The portions are huge (too big for me while traveling, but perfect for leftovers if I were home), and the prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get. Wish there was one closer to me!

Yum!! Great place if you're a fan of Sichuan food. We came on a Friday evening with a group of 4 and got so many dishes. Service was super friendly and food came out quick! We got: MaLaTang bowl: Suuuper spicy, had various toppings but I feel like the topping to soup ratio was a bit small. Pork Wonton: YUM, yummy Szechuan sauce and juicy dumpling Clear Noodle: This was a fun refreshing dish. I like the soft texture of the clear noodles Nine Way Noodle: I wasn't expecting to like this so much but it was actually fire. The sauce is savory, spicy, and full of meat Handpulled noodles: the texture of the noodles are fun and chewy but I found the sauce to be a bit sweet Pork/Cucumber: Sauce was super good and cucumber compliments the pork! There's a parking lot which is super convenient. Overall would recommend if you like the tingly numbing spice!

I've been coming here (dining & takeout & doordash) consistently for about a couple months now. I'd like to say I'm a regular here given that some of the staff recognize me.... My go to order: mala & spicy Mao Cai (either the soup / dry pot!). It's more than enough to share with one person or two people since it's a la carte ingredients. The meat is delicious, tender, and high quality as well as the other ingredients. Spiciness level: I'd recommend the base spiceness, even as someone who LOVES spicy / mala food. The next levels are the same spiceness but they have more of the fresh peppers (which are crazy). Sometimes I'll order the medium spicy, pick out the fresh peppers, and add some as I go. I've tried other dishes, such as the beef noodle soup and dumplings, but it doesn't give a WOW factor like the Mao Cai. In fact, I would give the other dishes a 3/4 star. But my overall rating bumps to 5 due to the Mao Cai. End of the day, try it! The food consistently comes out quickly. The restaurant gives a cozy, authentic feeling. They do a great job serving as they always top off water, provide peanuts as an appetizer, and give more napkins once we start sweating :)

Amazing casual place for authentic Sichuan noodles and dishes My absolute favorite was the Chengdu Zajiang noodle (豌杂面)! The yellow peas were soft and offfered a super unique and smooth texture. Very aromatic too. The whole noodle was rich in flavor and I can't recommend this dish enough The other chicken gizzard and heart noodle with pickled yellow pepper was really spicy, but I would love it more if the favor was more balanced

    Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($14.99)

As a fan of noodles, dumplings and spicy food, I've always been curious about Nine Way since those are essentially the main components of their menu. Recently, it was named #89 on the list of Yelp's Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the US, which gave me the extra push to finally give it a try. Five of us came for lunch around 11:45A on a Saturday and got one of the last available tables. The tables are small and sized for two to four people. They pulled an extra chair over for us, so while we all fit, it was a little tight. One waiter brought over a small dish of spicy roasted peanuts and hot water to start us off. After browsing the menu, which is accessible via QR code only, we selected a couple dry noodle dishes, dumplings and noodle soups. + BRAISED BEEF NOODLE SOUP ($14.99): This bowl contained a generous serving of noodles, cubes of beef, and two pieces of bok choy, topped with green onion and cilantro. The noodles were on the softer side whereas I would have preferred them to be a bit more firm. The beef was pretty tender; about half of them were on the more gristly side, but surprisingly, they were not too chewy. While the menu states this is spicy, it was actually the least spicy thing I ate here. Nevertheless, I still loved the broth and finished every sip! It was beefy, savory and not too salty. The bok choy added a nice crunch while the cilantro provided some freshness. + WONTON IN CHILI OIL ($10.99, 10 pieces): This chili oil really packs a punch! I love spicy food and this was nearing my limit. Every wonton was completely covered in the sauce which was heavy on the chilis and had a dry heat. The pork filling was delicate and the wrapper was nice and thin. + SZECHUAN STYLE DUMPLINGS ($10.99, 8 pieces): I loved these. The sauce was milder in spice with a touch of sweetness that made it addicting. I actually don't remember much about the filling since the sauce was that good. These dumplings had a thicker doughy wrapper, but they were excellent overall. + NINE WAY NOODLE ($11.99) & MINCED BEEF WITH GREEN PEPPER NOODLE ($12.99): These two dry noodle dishes tasted very similar to each other and I couldn't really tell the difference other than the type of meat. Both were completely coated in a spicy sauce. I believe the minced beef noodles had a bit of the mala numbing spice. Our waitress said this one is normally quite spicy, so we opted to decrease it a bit. Two waiters managed all the tables and stayed on top of everything, making it look easy. One of them still made time to check on us and drop off extra napkins among bussing tables, greeting customers, serving food and handling payment. Nine Way is a solid option if you're seeking spicy and savory comfort dishes.

I ordered take out and ordered the dry mala as I had in the past but they completely changed the seasonings and not for the better. It's now some weird creamy peanut sauce that's not good. The portion size is good but nothing else about this dish is. I know the restaurant recently changed names (previously Nine Way) and apparently recipes changed too. This was the only dish I got from here so unfortunately I will not be eating here again

I had a high hope for this place but felt the flavor wa lacking any depth over powered by salt.

It was, because Tasty House took over a former Chinese spot but improved on their quality. Ample parking in a good location. While they offer physical menus, they also have QR codes at each table for simple ordering online. We are accustomed to spots including rice with entrees so having to order it separately for an extra $2 per bowl feels bad. Items are large, so tailored for family style. Stir Fried Green Bean - as a green beans fanatic, my partner was a huge fan of the ones here. She liked these over our usual Canto spot which says a lot. The green beans themselves were fresh and cooked perfectly but the sauce was more flavorful than most. Very savory and lightly salty, not really spicy. Sweet and Sour Chicken - missing the onions and pineapple but a very sizable portion of large, tasty battered chicken paired with juicy and crunchy bell peppers. Definitely pair with some rice, there's a lot of sauce and a simple carb helps with balance. Shredded Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce - I was attracted by the steamed buns (gua bao), but the pork was tasty. A bit fatty and drenched in a savory, umami bean sauce, a simple carb like rice will help soak up sauce and balance flavors. There aren't enough buns for the meat, but they are a simple carb that balance out the meat and honestly, a refreshing change in flavor and texture.

Two of us came in at noon on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. A carafe of water with lemon was already placed on the table and we asked for a pot of tea which was complimentary. Out of their large menu, we selected three dishes which turned out to be a well-balanced meal. The food came out more quickly than expected and the portions were generous! While we polished off the vegetable dish, we had enough noodles and chicken for another serving. + CHONG QING HOT CHICKEN ($21.99): Small fried pieces of chicken came tossed in spicy seasoning and a ton of dried chili peppers. The online menu displays three pepper icons which I'd describe as accurate... I could definitely feel the heat! Despite the moderate tingling, I couldn't stop eating these as the outside was perfectly crispy, the chicken was juicy inside and the pieces weren't too salty either. I just wish the chunks of chicken were larger. Many of them were so small that it felt like I was eating just crust. + HOT & SPICY HAND SHAVEN NOODLES ($15.99): Really good! These noodles are hand-cut, so they come in a variety of lengths and thickness. I asked about the spice level on this dish and the waiter said it's between one and two stars, but you can ask them to make it spicier if you'd like. I personally didn't find them very spicy, especially not compared to the Chong Qing Hot Chicken! The noodles had a nice firm chew and the sauce was addicting too. For our meat option, we chose beef, which was super tender and thinly sliced. An ample amount of cabbage added some crunch. + STIR-FRIED GREEN BEANS ($15.99): These beans were so delicious and tossed with a ton of chopped garlic. This was not spicy at all, but full of flavor. We kept scooping more and more beans onto our plates. The employees who we interacted with were personable and as we packed our leftovers, we asked for a couple cups of hot water to end our meal. The waiter kindly brought them over and also gave us a heads up that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes at 3:00P, just in case we wanted to order anything else. At 3:00P, the staff all take their lunch break and the restaurant opens back up at 5:00P for dinner. Given the various table sizes, this restaurant can accommodate groups of different sizes. There are many four-person tables, but also a couple larger tables in the front and what appeared to be a separate room behind two doors. I recommend Tasty House for a good local Szechuan spot! 4.25 stars.
