Good Thai food. It's not traditional Thai food but it's very good and large portions. The chicken hanian is a great dish here. Also really enjoy the pad thai! They have a very large restaurant great for large parties. They have plenty of parking also I like the drink selection too, the passionfruit green tea is great! They have a new Lunch special option, that also applies to takeout which is especially nice!

This place has been here since I was knee high. I was dragged kicking and screaming, metaphorically of course. It is better than I thought it would be for a jack of all trades diner. The selection is mind boggling. For a fill me up place, it is great but if you looking for more this is not for you.

Horrible service, waiter was impatient when we tried to order. Gave us hard sticky rice that's literally built like a brick. Why is their coconut milk on the mango sticky rice salty? And why were we served ROTTEN MANGO??

It's been a while since we were last here. We used to come to this place a lot when we lived a little closer. We pretty much ordered the same food we were used to ordering. But somehow it didn't taste as good as I remember them. They do serve pretty good portion. The garlic spare ribs was good but nothing special and not as tasty as I used to remember them. Beef steak was good but could be more tasty. The mixed vegetables with beef was actually really good! I don't remember having the beef panang here before but the soup/ sauce was a little too watery and the beef was kinda tough. The bbq pork wonton noodles was food. Service was good and fast. I remember before we always had to wait a bit for our table. Now the place is not as packed and we were seated right away! Ambience is very casual, light and a bit on the loud side but nothing that will bother diners.

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 I haven't been here for a while and my family wanted to go eat here for lunch. We ordered noodle world fried rice, pad see ew, cat fish with chili sauce, spicy fried chicken, chicken satay, and grilled chicken. I noticed their food quality went down just by looking at some of the food. When I tasted it, it confirmed my doubts. Satay sauce was watery and the meat look weird. Spicy chicken sauce also used to be thick and full of flavor but it's very light now. I did not enjoy the food. We went on lunch time during the week and they didn't have much tables but yet when I ordered two drinks, it came about 10 minutes apart for each drink. They need to hire more servers or be efficient. Sad that one of my favorites restaurants going downhill. I won't be back anytime soon.

Low price, plethora ration of food per order, and above all the quality of unique and exotic flavors makes this my to go place every time although it will take me average 1 and a half hour from Westlake/Agoura area. Totally worth every penny spent, and every effort to get here. We normally take home order so that we may continue snacking the leftovers for all days! The order takers are very patient, professional, helpful, & above all friendly.

amazing value to portion! If you want solid bangers, go for these: -spicy spaghetti with beef -pork chop vermacelli -thai pan fried noodle ...these never disappoint!

sat ourselves had to wait for menus. ordered pork chop on noodles this plate had some veggies and cilantro and sliced pork chop. ordered pick chop and rice, this came with two pieces of porch chops and a lot of white rice and cucumber slices. Portions good we had a lot leftover to take home. We ordered two honey dew slushies with boba. Was good except was t sweet at all. should have had them add some sugar. Service was nice. Someone was cleaning windows and they had some small construction in the other dining room. Parking was easy 1 hr on street and they have their own parking lot.

They were okay. I took my picky mom here. She ordered a beef stew noodle. She didn't like it. My wife didn't like what she ordered. I ordered the Thai boat noodles. It was good. Service was okay. The waiter was the one who told me to get the boat noodles. I dunno. If picky mom doesn't like it, it would be tough for me to make a return visit.

It's been a while since I've been back, but the food here is still pretty solid. They still give pretty large portions which is great for this current economy. Service here isn't the best, but you just have to flag them down. The restaurant itself is huge and spacious. I usually order their pan fried noodles like the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai! They do offer a huge variety of dishes, if you're craving something different each time.

We got Noodle World for our coworkers to celebrate a birthday and everyone enjoyed the food. We got a wide variety of noodle and rice plates like pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and etc. When I picked up the food, the cashier was very helpful and used a cart to help carry all the boxes to my car. The portions are really good, it was enough to feed more than 10 people. The flavors are delicious, the only downside for some people was that they felt the pad see ew was a little too salty, but overall everything was good! My coworkers and I would definitely reorder from here again for any future celebrations.

The Customer service in this spot is always good. Their thai fried rice never disappoint in my opinion. I tried something new here which was the boat noodle soup its alright not even bussin. I've tried better boat noodles at Saap coffee and Mae malai

Can't believe I'm about to say this but... the Tom Kah w chicken is surprisingly good as well as the pad see ew. I haven't been back to noodle world for a decade because there's always better specific noodle shops in the SGV. But these 2 dishes are 4/5 for me and so large you get lunch the next day. Also, ask for Thai chili in fish sauce and crunched peanuts as condiments. They are quick to serve and before you even ask, they'll give you sharing plates and bowls because they know everything here is to be shared (due to size of dishes for a decent price, average $16 a dish). I still like the diner vibe although the place needs an upgrade. The Tom yum is okay for me but considering there's no good Thai places here, this'll do.

Hidden Gem in Alhambra - Finally Tried It After 4 Years of Driving By!…read more I've lived in Alhambra for the last 4 years and drove past this place almost every day, always assuming it was just another hot pot spot. It never looked super busy, so I kept putting it off. Big mistake--don't let that happen to you like it did to me! We finally went in and ordered a bunch: the Spicy Beef Shank Rice Noodle, Rattan Pepper Sliced Beef Rice Noodle, Popcorn Chicken, Sesame Balls, Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Fried Milk Rolls, and Fried Taro Balls. Everything was outstanding. The noodles were amazing--fresh, chewy, with high-quality ingredients you can really taste in every bite. The broths had that perfect spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the beef was super tender. My wife and I couldn't stop eating; literally everything we tried was delicious. She especially loved the Fried Taro Balls--they were crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. The sides/snacks were all hits too: the Popcorn Chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, the Sesame Balls and Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake brought great texture and sweetness, and the Fried Milk Rolls were a fun surprise. Service was top-notch--shoutout to Icey, who took such great care of us. One of the best and most attentive experiences we've had in a while. If you're in Alhambra and love good food, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't go wrong here--highly recommend! 5 stars all the way.

Beef roll looked more like a giant taco but was also excellent. In the most convoluted sequence of restaurant occupancy in the annals of Chinese restaurants in the United States, Noodle King has supplanted Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch in Alhambra in the space formerly occupied by a different restaurant named Noodle King in the 1980s and 1990s. There's a lot to explain here. I used the compound name for the previous occupant because the name on the front entrance was Rice Hero, the back entrance said Hero's Kitchen and the digital menus said In Joy Lunch. I say the old restaurant was supplanted, not replaced, because the old restaurant sort of still hangs around, with a tiny sheet of paper with all 3 old names taped to the front door, and many old dishes still on the menu. Why the three names I don't know. In Joy Lunch had been a popup that operated during lunch hour serving Dongbei food in a space in YYDS Fried Strings in Rosemead. In Joy Lunch then struck out on their own last year with this space in Alhambra, adding the new names. The old Noodle King had been a Taiwanese noodle fixture before moving out in 2003. Since the new Noodle King also serves some of the Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch items, the same name seems to be just a coincidence. But despite holdover menu items the staff clearly say they're a new restaurant, with the Noodle King himself greeting you at the front entrance and the signage in both front and back now say Noodle King.

On a Saturday evening, my husband and I decided to grab dinner here. Because we parked in the shared parking lot, we entered the restaurant through the back. We were immediately greeted upon entering. After being seated and looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Fish Tofu Congee, $10.50 prior to tax- This meal truly nourished my soul because I was really sick a few days before and hardly ate anything. The congee was nice and hot and thick, just the way I like it. Portion wise, this is perfect for 2- 3 people to share. But again because I had not eaten much for the last few days, I ended up eating most of it (lol, had not realized how hungry I was until I was eating this). My husband did enjoy this congee too. Beef Stew Noodle Soup, $14.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered this dish and thought the soup was flavorful and the noodles had a nice chew. I also liked this dish and thought it was delicious. My husband finished most of this dish. ------------------------------ (Total= $28.10 after tax, prior to tip) Service was friendly. And because the restaurant is on the small side, it was very easy to get a server's attention if you needed something. Please note that there is a unisex restaurant towards the back of the restaurant, right next to the back entrance/ exit. They also have frozen food to-go (just two items... dumplings and dezhou chicken). Yes, this seems like a lot of food for one person. I'm not a stranger to bringing food home for another meal. *Steamed Mini Buns - juicy with flavorful pork filling, adequate skin thickness, good size buns *Stir-Fried Noodles with pork - best dish out of the 3, good balance between pork, veggies, and noodles, mild spice level was perfect, portions were reasonable for the price *Lamb Noodles Soup - great amount of lamb and noodles, lamb was tender, noodles were a tad mushy on the edge... they need to be firmer, soup was savory *Jasmine Green Tea with honey - good size cup, tea was a bit bitter, probably needs more honey Food came out steaming hot and timely. Staff and service were wonderful. Yan, the server, was patient and helpful. He did an amazing job working the entire floor by himself. Thank you Yan! I have had ones in previous visits that the beef was chewy, not tender. You have a choice of regular noodles or hand torn noodles. The service is adequate but don't expect good service.
