I used to go to the location in Westwood years ago, so stopped by when I was in the area recently. The food is just as good as I remember it, but the crowds are insane! I came around 6PM on a Saturday and there was already a rush of people and a 20-minute wait. By the time I left, the wait looked like it had tripled! The menu has a huge selection of items (100 different dishes maybe?), that are (mainly) noodle dishes from different Asian cuisines: Chinese/Hong Kong, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai. It's impossible not to find something you want. In fact if you have two people dining, you'll likely order 3 different dishes so you can try different things. The pad see ew is one of my all time favorites (even better than getting it at a Thai restaurant), as well as the Chinese BBQ pork wonton noodle soup and the Hong Kong style crispy noodles (which require a huge knife to eat it). The portions are humongous, so expect to take home leftovers. As a bonus, they have two of the original Bob's Big Boy statues inside the restaurant. It's impossible to miss them. read more

Hmm this place is like a 3.7, but because of all the options still, it rounds up to a 4. The last few times I've gone here, they've changed their menu like 4 times due to organization of menu, and price increases. Noodle dishes I usually order are now in the high 9's or low 10s. Friend ordered the garlic noodles and I ordered pad thai. His dish was pretty tasty but mine tasted like it was cooked on a BURNT wok. I inhaled that burnt wok taste with each bite.. it was bad.... this happened to my friend and I once a couple years ago too. Sad that they made the same mistake and ruined another meal.. Well. Ol'JJ dropped the ball. Brought out my wife's dish in three minutes and never did mine. He mumbled how it takes at least 15 minutes ......for lettuce wraps? I'd imagine they'd only need to assemble it on a plate, oh well. The pork won ton noodles were enjoyed as always but I'd say since I didn't get served that something is lacking on the service. I tried their chow mein with seafood and garlic chicken rice on a weekday when I didn't feel like cooking. It was a pretty convenient location and it did not have a lot of people waiting, which was surprising for it being 6pm. The door dash ordering system for pickup actually matched the prices from the menu which was a plus. When I got the food, I noticed the chow mein was actually really crispy. I didn't think too much of it until I actually took a bite. It still had a lot of flour on it and it tasted as such. It was really dry, even with the seafood gravy mixed in it and I could not get rid of the flour taste. I would not recommend the chow mein dishes at this location. The garlic chicken rice was actually really good. It had a sweet and salty taste to it which complimented each other. The portion size was really generous with a bunch of chicken piled on top of a big bed of rice. Was here recently and I ordered the boat noodles and Pad See ew. I'll have to say bother we're pretty mediocre. They didn't really have the seasoning down. The Pad See ew was very bland and it needs way more seasoning to make it a good dish. The noodle itself were not old but it lacked the seasoning. The boat noodles was plentiful but also needed some heavy seasoning to bring up the taste buds. My friends ordered the fried Hainan chicken which was on the bland side too. The only person that got a decent meal was the one that ordered the Thai basil (ground) chicken with fried egg. She mixed it all up and it was pretty tasty. Service was fairly quick as we placed our order our food arrived within 10 minutes. The place was an old Bobs Big Boy and there was a statue out in the waiting area. While driving by, it brought back fond memories of their spicy spaghetti, so I had to make a U-turn and pull into the parking lot. The interior is showing its age and things are in need of repairs and touch ups. The staff was really nice and friendly, which was how it was way back in the day. I've been going to Noodle World for over a decade and my tried and true favorite is their pad Thai. The restaurant is known for its expansive menu and large potions at an affordable price. It's no Michelin starred establishment, but wonderful for comfort food. Noodle World is great if you're on a budget as I find one order of my trusty pad Thai is enough for 2-3 servings. Since the pandemic, I haven't visited this restaurant (or any other place really) but decided to get dinner here. There was a good amount of people waiting to get their food but it was still very prompt. The portions are still large, but there is a small dip in quality. I ordered the chicken satay skewers (another one of my favorites) and I am sad to report that it was over cooked and dry. :( the pad Thai was just a touch over cooked as well, so it was a little soggy. HOWEVER, because we are in a pandemic and running a business is very difficult, I decided to only dock 1 star. Please understand this is a casual restaurant and adjust your expectations. I still recommend Noodle World and will definitely be back. Their food is delicious and I don't hesitate to return! When you walk in, one of the first things that you'll see is a big boy holding a big burger, so I think the place could use some remodeling. Everything has been the same whenever I came here. The portions are big and there is a good ratio of meat/veggies to the noodles. My favorite dish is the pad thai, which is always cooked just right. The srirachaghetti tastes just like sriracha and the spiciness isn't overwhelming. I would not order the seafood tom kha noodle soup again, as it did not have any of the coconut flavor that it's supposed to. The noodles itself were good and there was a generous amount of seafood, but it was the soup that was underwhelming. The food is overall good and I have not tasted anything terrible from here. Since the place is always so busy, I am pleased that I received good service during my last visit. In the past, it would be difficult to get the attention of employees. Now they are attentive and will help you right away. They immediately bring you water, take your order, and then the food comes out shortly after. It's a plus that they also served all the food at the same time. The inside of the place is quite big. Even though there are a lot of tables, everyone is seated on the left side of the restaurant. I think they only start to use the right side if it gets extremely busy. If you do need to wait in line, there is seating near the entrance. One thing that was not appealing about this place is that the table sauces were kind of dirty. The bottle of sriracha and container of chili looked like they needed some cleaning. Honestly I think the food here is just okay. It's great if you're looking for a convenient place with a diverse menu but I wouldn't come here for great tasting food. Service is good though, I called to place an order for pick up and it was ready within 20 minutes. Spicy fried chicken wings were not spicy at all. On first look, the wings are covered in marinade and I saw plenty of minced garlic so I thought it would be flavorful. But for some reason, only the sweetness of the sauce comes through. I didn't get any spice or garlic. Pineapple fried rice was also mediocre. The chicken was so dry and I wasn't a fan of the raisins and nuts in the rice. They very CLEARLY advertise outside everywhere that they offer curbside pick up, however, they don't actually do it. He also said not call to let them know I'm outside, just wait in my car and they will see my when I arrive in my car in the front. As pictured, the woman had no mask on. There's a sign that clearly says "No Mask, No Entry" but she sat there fiddling on her phone the entire time without one so I have to wonder if they don't care to enforce rules or what other things the restaurant may be bypassing. Heard my friend raving about NOODLE WORLD, and couldn't help but wonder why I haven't dined here for over 20 years when I live just minutes away. After hearing my friend rave about it day in and out, I finally gave in and decided to grab dinner with him at Noodle World one night. Walked in at 930pm one evening and the cashier made no attempt to greet me or to seat me. I stood around for a couple more minutes and waited for my friend and had to walk up to the cashier to ask for a seat. Our server was courteous and placed our order on that huge ipad chained to his waist. Both of us decided to go with the SPICY SPAGHETTI for the evening. From my memories from decades ago, the Spicy Spaghetti was the best dish offered at this restaurant. I remembered it to by dry, stirred fried with basil and have a tint of spice to it. But what we got was a huge plate of spaghetti drenched in some thick red sauce. It was fairly disgusting and I barely touched my plate. I've been coming to Noodle World for years and the price is affordable. This weekend I decided to order for curbside pick up. Curbside pickup service- I placed my order and gave them a call when I got to the curbside location. Lady came out with a credit card system and repeated my order and processed payment. She than went back in to get my order and receipt. Everything was smooth from the time I placed my order to picking up. Pre-Covid- Indoor dining service is ok. Most times, the waiters are too busy to check up on you. You have to actually flag them down and even then, there's a chance that they've already got a list of other customer's requests to deal with first. There is plenty of parking now but pre-covid.. the parking can be a pain. You will probably have to drive around the block a few times during peak hours. Food- I ordered Garlic Chicken, Charbroiled Pork Chop, Beef Steak, Pad Thai (comes with chicken & shrimp and you don't need to pay extra for the shrimp), and Thai Boat Noodles. These are my go to dishes and they were all good. They give a pretty good portion size that can easily be shared. I also love the spicy spaghetti, Rad Na, Crispy Beef Chow Mein and Beef Pad See Ew. They also have a variety of drinks. Noodle world is my go to when I can't think of anything to eat. Definitely give them a try. read more
