Epic in every way! We stopped here after our spa treatments at the yacht club and were ready to fully embrace the Palm Springs lifestyle aka martinis too early in the afternoon. Everyone who worked here was so sweet and nice and really let us hang out as long as we wanted. It was about 2, so not very crowded. I had the "flat as a pancake" crabcake and it was just what I needed to soak up the martini. The outdoor patio feels very VIP and you could certainly imagine Hollywood stars hanging here for a spell. read more

Wishing we would have came here earlier in our trip because this was some of the better food we had in the area when visiting. Stopped in on a girls trip for brunch and the staff was super accommodating from the minute we walked in. We sat in the patio which was a little toasty in may but at least it was covered. Menu has such a variety it's hard to choose from. Griddle lemonade cakes were delicious to share with the group but not sure I could eat it as a whole meal. French toast was amazing but rich so a good thing to split or share. Tacos were phenomenal and full of flavor. Caesar salad has the coolest looking crouton bowl I've ever seen and tastes great. Everyone else at the table loved their food and drinks and agreed that it was a place we would recommend to others and visit again. Came back for my birthday because of the Amazing food. much better service this time around. Ambiance outside was beautiful. Weather in November is perfect for outdoor dining. We never wanted to leave. The cocktails were so delicious and beautiful I'd say worth the price I wish they were cheaper to order many more. read more

Overall we had a good experience. We planned to sit on the very cute patio, but it was so hot we sat inside. Both entrees were tasty (the shrimp quesadillas could have used more flavor and more mango salsa) but the smoothie I order was probably one of the worst I've had. It was not the texture of a smoothie, but more like a thick/pulpy juice was a tiny chucks of ice. Our waiter was attentive and friendly and even though we couldn't sit outside we enjoyed ourselves and I'm glad we stopped by the hotel during our visit. read more

First stop is at Norma's! It's a must for brunch, and we entered the place which was very hip and trendy. Got outdoor seating and had the heated lamps on since it was chilly. Our server, Gigi was very hospitable and gave us watermelon shots to start off with , yummy! Got drinks - mimosa and mojitos which I got to actually enjoy, not strong whatsoever Now the food. Our group shared the doughnuts which had a lovely lemon and blueberry dipping sauce paired well, Belgium waffle w/ assortment of berries, and the scrambled eggs bacon quesadilla were all delicious! Definitely a must to eat, drink, and have a celebratory time w/ amazing ambiance and fun staff. read more

This restaurant is soooo good!!! We ate here 3 times during our stay. All the portions are large and the food is fresh. Service is also wonderful and the ambiance is quiet and chill. Service was great! The food was good, I had the huevos rancheros and was surprised with how big the portion was. I tasted the espresso martini and it was on the sweeter side, so it felt like more of a dessert. While we were waiting for our food, they brought out a small glass with a sample of their smoothie. That was delicious and refreshing. The decor is cute and quaint, reminds me of a diner with a modern twist. read more

I went to Norma's yesterday (1/24/24) my very first time with a friend and OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The food was absolutely amazing!!! I had the braised short ribs Benedict with sweet potato cakes and that's was truly heaven in my mouth!!!! Everything was amazing!!! The lemonade was truly the best I have ever had!!! The donuts are so delightful and a guilty pleasure haha!! The whole ambiance is truly peaceful and almost feels like you teleported to another destination!!! We had a wonderful time at Norma's! Stopped in for brunch on a Tuesday and the patio provided a wonderful and calm vibe, very casual but also upscale. Pro tip - it's located within the Parker hotel, you'll need to bring cash ($15) to valet. Vanessa was our server and provided excellent service, she was amazing and super personable. The food was awesome, there were 4 of us and we got the crispy Caesar salad with chicken, breakfast quesadilla, fish & chips, and steak fajita and we loved all 4 dishes. Drinks were also amazing, ask for the "secret menu" drinks, they're the perfect brunchy spritzers. Wish we were in Palm Springs longer because we would definitely go back! read more

You can call them to make reservations or use open table. They're usually very busy so highly recommend reservations. They've indoor and outdoor seating but indoors is also super open so feels outdoorsy. No restrooms indoors but share the one w the hotel lobby. It has a nice upscale cafe ambience. Service is a bit slow but they're super friendly and nice so it isn't bothersome. We were presented with a welcome shot of the daily smoothie. Besides this, we got the blueberry pancakes w sides of lemon custard and jam, the primavera omlette which comes w potatoes in duck fat and sourdough toasts, and a side of lox, and split one freshly squeezed orange juice sans sugar. Taste, presentation, quality, and quantity are 10/10. Also, enough leftovers for two days! read more

A reservation for brunch at Norma's is a good idea, even if just to see the lobby of the Parker hotel. Reservations are required to get into the estate, and no walk-ins are accepted. They are open for breakfast through dinner although most of the dinner menu contains breakfast food. The ambiance on the patio is adorable and has the quintessential vintage Palm Springs feel. Staff is highly professional. They even provide a small placemat for your face mask and start you off with a fresh shot glass-sized sip of a smoothie. My friend and I shared a sweet and a savory item. The Chicken and Wild Mushroom Omelet was a bit disappointing, as we both found it to be dry. The filling would have benefitted from some cheese or a sauce. The menu lists fire roasted peppers but I don't recall tasting any. Our sweet item was the Very Berry Brioche French Toast. Now this dish is worth it and it's gorgeous to boot. The slice of brioche is so thick you'll definitely want to share this one, and the fresh fruit gave it a wonderful sweetness. At $28 each we were looking at a $60 breakfast bill without any drinks and before tip. Additionally, you have to pay $12 for parking. I honestly think that's a rip off when they know you'll only be there for about an hour and already spending a lot for your meal. You're really paying for the ambiance here and I suggest sticking to the "Mom Can't Make This" section of the menu. It's a fun experience for Palm Springs and makes you feel like you're in a hidden oasis. read more

I'm a month late on the review, but we made a reservation at Norma's while in town for Coachella, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere here. The Parker itself is such an experience. From the long, secluded, and flowered driveway to the modern yet cozy décor, the ambiance of The Parker immediately sets your expectations sky-high. Straight through the hotel and out the back doors, nestled under a full awning next to the ultra-exclusive, umbrella-ed guests only podium, is Norma's. I won't lie, Norma's is expensive, but from an experience standpoint, it can't be beat. Sitting on their patio surrounded by trees, gentle wind, and the most beautiful people you've ever seen is absolute serenity. My cousin ordered a $24 Bloody Mary, and my God it was the best Bloody Mary I've ever tasted. Aside from the food, which was delicious, the service was exceptional. If being at Norma's alone doesn't make you feel special, the food absolutely will. Norma's will forever be a must-do for us in Palm Springs! read more

I can NOT recommend this place. Making a dinner reservation for a larger group was a tough process and should've been a red flag for me from the beginning. After being sent straight to voicemail I left my details 5 times, but no one ever bothered to call me back. The Parker's receptionist had pity and made a reservation for me. While the vibe and the location was nice, the service was absolutely terrible. After we finally ordered, the food took forever to arrive which caused us to incur an overstay fee for our pre-booked shuttle. We tried reaching out to the restaurant to speak with a manager about the issues, but despite being promised a call back, we never heard from anyone. All in all, the experience was a major letdown, and I really can't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Delicious! We had the traditional eggs benedict and Norma's doughnuts. So good! Perfect benedict and the doughnuts are a must; they come out warm, served with lemon custard and berry jam... It honestly does not make sense how Norma's does not have a higher Yelp rating. We stayed at Parker Palm Springs and had breakfast here every morning. They greet you with daily smoothie shooters. Service was great, very friendly, and every dish we ordered was delicious - breakfast quesadilla, omelette, waffle. read more

Cute little place within a hidden hotel off of highway 111. I went with a party of ten and they were well prepared. We got a knowledgeable server, who helped us navigate the menu and answered my questions about getting something smaller as I wasn't feeling well. I got avocado toast which was very well prepared, but really wish I could have the French toast next time. Avocado toast was $14 which was much cheaper than most of the menu so be prepared. Also lack of public parking kind of forces you to use their valet. $25 without validation, $15 with validation so don't forget to ask your server for a stamp. read more

Our experience at NORMA'S was amazing! Our server was Gigi, who was fantastic. Both the restaurant and Hotel lobby/grounds are incredible. Beautiful vibe and design. Ate at NORMA'S for brunch, the food definitely worth every penny- one of the best meals I've ever eaten. We had steak and eggs, irresistible pancakes and the gringo carne asada. Even the drinks and smoothie shots were the best! Even better another server, forgive me I don't remember his name, offered to give us a private tour of the grounds and gave us info on the history of the hotel. Love Norma's! The food, service and atmosphere is always excellent. This restaurant is a mid century beauty with jonathan adler accents everywhere and has an outdoor patio set in a beautiful secret garden. The caesar salad is delicious and the rancheros is tasty too. I'm also a fan of their americano espresso and healthy fruit bowl with non sweetened yogurt too (it's served in a hollowed cantaloupe) for breakfast. My hubby loves their daily smoothie! read more

Had one of the most memorable late breakfasts EVER at this Palm Springs Insitution. The toughest part is getting in. You HAVE to make a reservation. And you have to tell the guy at the top of the driveway that you have a reservation. If you're not on "the list"... he will demand to see your reservation confirmation. Thankfully, I had that in my email. It was a little tense there... and I started to think this place was going to be way too stuffy and uptight for us. Luckily, I was very wrong. The staff at the Parker Hotel were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We spent some time checking out the FANTASTIC, AMAZING, and ECLECTIC art collection in the hotel lobby... I am a HUGE fan of art, particularly modern art (the weirder the better for me), so I was in love with several of the pieces and the decor. Definitely worth it to show up early and spend a few minutes checking the place out. The patio is gorgeous but it was super hot so we chose to sit just inside with the patio doors open - still plenty of fresh air and Covid compliance... not as much sunshine. We were greeted with a free taste of the "shot of the day"... a shot of smoothie. It was a great touch but neither of us really like smoothies much and I can't even recall the flavor. Bloody Mary time! And these were delicious, well made Marys. When a dish is called, both on the menu AND by the servers the "James Beard Award Winning Potato Pancakes"... you probably should order them. So I did. And they are fan-freaking-tastic. That is a LOT of potato to eat though, so maybe share with someone and definitely get a side of bacon (cooked perfectly) to go along. My SO is pretty reliably a French toast guy, and that was his choice here. It looked great and there was nary a bite given to me - so I assume it was very very good. Service is impeccable. The room and patio are gorgeous. You just FEEL relaxed sitting here... you know you're going to be fed well and that things will be taken care of by and by. A meal here will be on EVERY Palm Springs itinerary for me in the future. read more

An excellent date night out for locals. The service exceptional with excellent food and drink. The ambiance is from another era and another world. We so quickly felt like we were on vacation. The interior was reminiscent of an old time diner, with lots of black and white pictures in the wall providing a nostalgic vibe. Prices are quite reasonable, so definitely worth a stop by.

The restaurant itself is on the second floor. It has a full bar on one side and many different boost and tables on the other so I can host many different sized groups. For this visit, I started off with a Triple Berry Tart and really enjoyed it. Imagine a pop tart that's not quite as sweet but a little more cakey and that is it. It was a real nice treat for the meal. I followed up with Sky's the Limit, which is basically one of their larger breakfasts and a mix of everything. I would highly recommend. The eggs were cooked perfectly and everything about it just really hit the spot. I would highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a great brunch option.

We didn't use it but near one. Neither one looked too busy which was nice. Once we got settled into our room we went to go see Pinz and Pints since they had arcade games, including a duckpin bowling. My son was really excited about that. When we went they had a complimentary drink and candy bar. Drinks they offer are limited but still decent. We did get some food there as well. We got their nachos, Mac and cheese, and chicken tenders for my son. Both the nachos and Mac and cheese were really good. Love nachos and wanted to keep eating them. The next morning we went for breakfast at Pinzimini. They have a buffet option and also have a standard breakfast menu to choose items from. My husband got their brioche French toast and I selected to do their buffet. I know he liked the French toast. I liked the items offered in their buffet. They had a mix of mini pastries, cooked items, fruit. I primarily stuck with their pastries and fruit. Overall it was a nice location. Golf course is big. We did enjoy the range balls, but as early risers, I would have appreciated access to the spa or pool earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The bed sheets had what looked like an oil or grease stain, the closet door was broken, and the overall furnishings and finishes felt worn and dated rather than well maintained. This is very much a family resort, so that is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Even at the adults-only Paloma Pool, children were jumping into the water and splashing guests' drinks while parents appeared unconcerned. That made it difficult to relax in what was supposed to be a peaceful setting. On a positive note, the entrance walkway, lobby, and open-air courtyard are beautiful and make for a strong first impression. Unfortunately, that charm does not extend to the guest rooms, which are clearly in need of a refresh.

I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.

There are 10 rooms available and each one is a different theme in the 1950s. I stayed for two nights in the Crooners room and I enjoyed my stay a lot. When I arrived, Tim, the inn keeper assisted me with my room keys and showing me around the property. My room was decorated with the Rat Pack and I loved it. All rooms are a maximum of two people with a hot tub, refrigerator with water, microwave, and coffee maker, air conditioning, and DVD player. If you'd like, bring a DVD and popcorn to enjoy during your stay. The bed was pretty comfortable. There were more than enough pillows which I'm guilty of using more than one pillow while I sleep. I love how the comforter was linen on the outside, but cozy and warm on the inside. The Crooners room has two sinks, but I only used one. There is happy hour everyday at 5pm by the pool or communal area with snacks and beer or wine. During my stay there were chips and salsa and the following day was veggies with dip, with of course a drink of choice. Really nice touch added to my stay. It's been a while since I have stayed in a bed and breakfast and I love the homeyness here. Breakfast is served in the communal dining area with hand sanitizer provided. The three-course breakfast starts with a fruit smoothie, a fruit parfait and a hot breakfast. For breakfast they served blueberry pancakes with sausage and the following day it was quiche with artichoke hearts and potatoes. I loved the service here so much. You sit at a table and they serve the food to you. The pool is open 24 hours will pool floaties available to use as well. Another thing I like about this place is that because there aren't many people (max 40 people at a time) it is highly likely you will get the pool to yourself. When I checked out and left the property I told my husband I would enjoy staying here again. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend you stay here too.

They also serve lunch and have a bakery counter, but I didn't look too hard at those parts of the menu because I knew I wanted the short-rib scramble as soon as I saw it on the online menu, haha! And the biscuits--oh my goodness, they are so good. They taste perfectly homemade and are pillow soft yet just the right amount of crumbly without being a dried, cracking mess. I was in Palm Springs for the weekend and stayed at the Parker and had a great time except for our experience at Norma's for breakfast. I was discussed with the way some people and I were treated by the manager. I ask the manager as she was walking by for a refill of ice tea and received attitude from her as it seemed she felt it was beneath her to get a drink for a customer. I was sitting next to a family that had a baby and kids. The mother of this family ask the server and the manager for an item that the lemonade stand carried, rather then the manager sending a busser or the server to get the item for the customer the manager sent the lady and the family back and forth to the lemonade stand to get what she needed. The family was treated very poorly and with such attitude by the manager. I was very upset because of the services we received, when I tried to find the manager to complain, I over heard her loud squeaky voice coming from behind a curtain in a service area making fun of our problems. She said that we were nothing but complainers and her life would be a lot easier if she did not have to deal with people like us. After her comment I overheard several employees laughing in the area. I was so angered by this display of out right disrespect and incensed by the ordeal as a whole, I gather my belongings paid my bill without a tip and stormed out. The Parker and Norma's is such a beautiful place it is so sad that the manager and server handle our needs so poorly beyond explanation. Norma's is our go-to bougie brunch spot in Palm Springs. It's the kind of place where time slows down, the mimosas keep flowing, and the vibes are pure desert chic. The restaurant is inside the Parker Hotel, which is worth a visit all on its own. You'll valet when you arrive for about $15, and your server can validate your ticket when you dine. The property is beautiful with lush gardens, mid-century flair, and even the chance of a celebrity sighting. It's Palm Springs magic from start to finish. Be sure to make a reservation and ask to sit outside. I recently went with two girlfriends visiting from Chicago, and we ended up spending three hours on the patio enjoying brunch and sunshine. Our waitress, Yoseline, was absolutely amazing. She took incredible care of us and made great recommendations. When the restaurant ran out of Chardonnay, she suggested a really lovely rosé that we loved. They even have a rosé tower of giant bottles on display that makes the whole experience feel extra special. We wanted everything on the menu and definitely treated ourselves. The latkes are a must (better than yo mama's I SWEAR!). They are crispy, flavorful, and truly the best I've ever had. I order them every single time I go. Yoseline also recommended the fried chicken sandwich, and it was perfection. If you're visiting Palm Springs, brunch at Norma's is an absolute must. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the service, it's a five-star experience every time. I had been waiting years to visit The Parker. We were staying at a local timeshare, not The Parker, but I knew I had to go eat and wander there. We ate at Norma's for lunch on a Thursday in the off season (late Sept). We walked right in, there was no wait, just an almost empty restaurant. Our waitress was incredibly friendly. I worry about these super hipster places and service, it's not rare for these places to be quite rude to the not so hip enough. We were given an ample sample of the smoothie of the day (delicious but not delicious enough for the cost). She answered our questions about a couple menu options and was always genuinely kind. I had the Waz-Za waffle and a cold brew coffee and the boyfriend had the Crispy Waffle and a lemonade: total $56.00. The waitress warned us of the serving sizes and she wasn't kidding! I try to never leave food on my plate and usually succeed, this was no different, but for most people this is a leftovers situation. This is more than most of our "Fancy" brunches cost us but considering that we knew what we were getting into and the great service, I was fine with it. Really the best thing was getting to wander the grounds after lunch. It really is an amazing place with so many unique areas to see. I am just appauled! Having frequented Norma's for years our last visit to our favorite place in the world, Palm Springs and the Parker was just horrible! There's a new manager at Norma's who yells at the help, does nothing but walk around fluffing her tacky haircut and was rude to me and my partner. Our food was late and cold and when we asked to speak to the manager it took her almost one half of an hour to come to our table and offered no remedy for the problems and just said, "Everyone ones food is running late today, after all it's a holiday." This is unacceptible behavior from a manager of what is supposed to be one of the swankyest resorts in California! We were offered no comps at all. Our server was plesent and helpfull and filled in for the manager with "I am so sorry". While we were waiting she brought us exrta smooties and water and atleast made the wait bearable. I ask, what's going on there? We spent over 5k on our 3 day stay and exspected better service. We ate at Norma's twice and both times the same thing, late cold food and attitude from the manager. Our rooms were ok but not like it used to be. We may be rethinking our labor day trip if things do not change and the curent manager of Norma's is still employed there. read more

WOW! An experience just took place for us that has to be shared. As soon as we were greated by the new manager (love her) of Normas, our morning became full of sunshine. Most impressed with the staff here. The complimentary smoothy was terrific. Today, I was going to go out of my comfort zone and order the World Famous Oatmeal or the Banana Mac Nut Pancakes. The order was in... I did it. The Banana Mac Nut Cakes were on their way. My server (new blonde... great skills) poured me a cup of joe (French Press perfection) and I sat thinking about what I was about to take on. Another timing perfection. As I was about to finish my first cup of joe, the biggest pancakes ever showed up. All I can tell you after that is.... I tore it up. Ate it all. Increadible. Wanted more. Great experience. I usually do not write on yelp. However, based on my recent experience at Normas-I must! I have a gluten allergy(actually celiac). Upon sitting I informed my server of my allergy. She went into the kitchen to speak with the chef. She then came back with a complete verbal list of all of the things that I could have. Wow! I have never had that happen. A few minutes later the manager, Amy came by the table. She assured me that both she and the chef were aware of my allergy and I had nothing to worry about. The Parker was Magical & Norma's was delightful. We were seated right away by a super nice hostess. Our waiter was attentive, sweet, & well groomed. To my surprise the coffee was HOT French Press Coffee! Not lame drip drop weak coffee. Breakfast was the worlds most EPIC Fish Tacos & Artichoke Benedict. It was a happy nostalgic atmosphere. They figure out the tip for you so all you have to do is give a good looking waiter your room number or credit card & eat your dried oranges, then you're off to enjoy the Lemonade Stand or the Hammocks or whatever you're into, I don't know your life. I love this place! My husband and I ate at Normas for breakfest while staying in Palm Springs.. The Blueberry pancakes were amazing and portion was big enough for 3 people if not more! Had my brunch today at Norma's and I must say this is the best egg's benedict I have ever tasted. They definitely used the real egg, I normally get this powdery taste of eggs used which are typically used in the hotels. The serving is fairly big and enough to fill you when you skipped your breakfast. They even provide you those small shot glasses of complimentary tropical smoothie. This place is absolutely beautiful. It overlooks the garden and has a great atmosphere. The best part is that they start you with a shot of their smoothies. I had the Artichoke Benedict and it was very good. Be prepared to pay $30 a plate though. If you go here during the weekend, you can't walk around the grounds unless you a guest of the hotel, so keep that in mind if that's why why you are going there. read more

We had to wait about 20 minutes beyond our 8:30 pm reservation to be seated, but we didn't mind as it gave us a chance to wander the lush grounds of the courtyard around the pool. The historic hotel is undeniably beautiful. The menu is small, divided into first and main courses. The service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the first course fell short. The "Butter on Toast" consisted of untoasted Kalamata olive and herb focaccia bread accompanied by an anchovy butter, a roasted red pepper butter, and olive oil with balsamic vinegar. While the umami flavor of the anchovy butter complemented the briny olives on the focaccia, we all agreed a more neutral flavored (and toasted) French baguette would have been a better "base" for the butters. The diver scallop aguachile with pomegranate, citrus, Serrano peppers and sesame was fresh but surprisingly bland. The Crab Louis with fresh crab, avocado, shredded jicama, hard-boiled eggs, red beets and a tangy remoulade was creatively stacked using a ring mold and was tasty. A fun take on an old classic. The entrées fared a little better. The duck a l'orange was cooked well, but the skin was not rendered completely, resulting in a somewhat chewy texture. The trout amandine featured pan-fried rainbow trout served whole and drizzled with a brown butter white miso glaze and topped with sunchoke chips rather than the traditional slivered almonds. Finally the hand-cut steak tartare with shallots, Dijon mustard, ginger scallion relish, and egg yolk was technically well prepared, but the lack of Worcestershire sauce and capers made the dish overly sweet. Overall, the food was "fine," but it was the old-school glamour and rich history that made it worth the visit. I would've given it 3 1/2 stars if yelp allowed me too.
