Ordered over phone 10:40 am. Was told order ready in 15 mins. Got to restaurant at 11:05 am. A lady server said my order is not made and to wait longer. I waited 15 minutes for my food in the restaurant. Finally, I saw a manager Luis Valle and asked about my order. He said, "oh, it's right here" and grabbed my to go bag from a counter behind him. I remarked "wow, it was there the whole time? I was waiting this whole time, why?" He replied "no, it's not that long". lol. I said, I've been sitting here the whole time and no one told me my order was ready. He says "it's not that long it okay to wait " I then gave him a $10 off coupon, which is valid until 7/14/2024. He scanned it and said it's "not working " I showed him my phone and terms and conditions of the $10 off coupon. He refused to listen to me. He refused to honor the coupon for a made up reason and walked away with my food. He would not give my my food and I left the restaurant, having wasted more than 1 hour of my time. So norms has always been a good restaurant and we thought we would try the ontario location as it's fairly new.Well we will never be back. We walk in the door there is no greeting, just a woman rushing to see this literally putting the menus on a table, walking past us and telling us to go find the menus to sit down, then our server is very unattentive too busy chatting, and apparently he is the team leader.Could afford me. We wait forever for our food, literally about 30 minutes or more. Then, when the food comes out, some of it is incorrect. And some of it is cold. In fact, the soup he comes out and tells us I think the soup is cold, but I can microwave it for you.Which, yes, it was cold.It had to be microwaved. Then, comes out the meal. One of us ordered steak, chicken and shrimp. Well, the stake was cold and had to be microwaved and the chicken was not cooked.All the way. One person in our party ordered fries with a side of ranch, and we never saw them.The fries nor the ranch never came out. We literally had to ask the server for every little thing, whether it was napkins.A refill any kind of attention.He seemed bothered by having to help us. We were a large party of 16, so that is already overwhelming. However, our waitress Brianna was amazing! Constantly checking in our party to ensure we had everything and that our drinks were always full. Great variety of foods as our table had both breakfast and lunch items. Brianna was awesome! Super attentive, friendly, and overall fantastic customer service -- even from the jump with the hostess and to the end of our stay, and we came on a busy Sunday. WORST SERVICE EVER! was sat down and for 25 min not one person had came to our table. Even the table next to us turned around to tell us how horrible the service was. Now I remember why I haven't been here in over a year. The service is terrible, sat at the counter waited about 10 minutes before even acknowledged by any of the staff. She finally came over to ask if I wanted something to drink, asked for a coffee and ordered breakfast. She disappeared for another 10 minutes, finally a different person, possibly management came and asked if I had ordered, I told her yes, a coffee and breakfast and I was waiting for my coffee. Just then my server showed up, and said thank you for being patient, I expressed my concerns about waiting, and just proceeded to make excuses. I guess I'm done. It was cold outside so I really appreciated Norms for having the heater on and serving us hot water & tea :) We were seated immediately and everyone was really welcoming and kind. We ordered a four course meal for under $25 which is incredible pricing. It comes with a soup, salad, entree, and dessert! For a family of 3, ordering two of the 4 course meal deal was perfect.
