This morning on 3/31/26 my wife and I went into Norms Restaurant located at 4551 Mills Circle in Ontario Ca, for breakfast. As the hostess sat us down in a polite tone she said your waitress will be here shortly to take your orders. Shortly after a smiling waitress by the name of Marina ask us what we wanted to drink 2 coffees please. Shortly after she took our orders. Marina provided us with exceptional and attentive friendly service and was knowledgeable what the menu offered. I also noticed she made eye contact with a smile, Marina handled our order efficiently and was attentive refilling our coffee and provided us with extra napkins. My wife and I breakfast was exquisitely delicious. These details makes the world of difference to make you feel welcomed and enjoy your meal. I went to Norms on 11/03/25 and put my name down for a table for two. I was told it would be about a 10-minute wait, which was fine. However, during that time, I watched at least four other parties (groups of 2-4 people) come in after me and get seated before us. After waiting longer than expected, I approached the server and let her know that I had been there before the others. She checked and said, "Oh, I see, give me 2 minutes to get you a table." Despite that, we waited another 5-8 minutes, and still weren't seated. At that point, we decided to leave. It just didn't feel fair or organized, and it was very disappointing to be overlooked like that. I hope the staff can be more attentive and fair with the seating process in the future. read more

Was in there two nights in a row late after working. I was do I admit dirty from cleaning out an attic. The host was in the kitchen for no less than 40 minutes while several groups came in and left as there was no one to seat them. I happened to lay back in my booth upright by the way, and happened to close my eyes for maybe 5 minutes tops as it was past 3:00 am. He then proceeded to hand me my ticket and asked me to leave and accused me of being homeless. Reminder, I had spent EASILY $80-$90 over the past two days. I paid my bill and as I left he must not have realized the two actual homeless people sleeping on the benches in front of the restaurant entrance. So norms has always been a good restaurant and we thought we would try the ontario location as it's fairly new.Well we will never be back. We walk in the door there is no greeting, just a woman rushing to see this literally putting the menus on a table, walking past us and telling us to go find the menus to sit down, then our server is very unattentive too busy chatting, and apparently he is the team leader.Could afford me. We wait forever for our food, literally about 30 minutes or more. Then, when the food comes out, some of it is incorrect. And some of it is cold. In fact, the soup he comes out and tells us I think the soup is cold, but I can microwave it for you.Which, yes, it was cold.It had to be microwaved. Then, comes out the meal. One of us ordered steak, chicken and shrimp. Well, the stake was cold and had to be microwaved and the chicken was not cooked.All the way. One person in our party ordered fries with a side of ranch, and we never saw them.The fries nor the ranch never came out. We literally had to ask the server for every little thing, whether it was napkins.A refill any kind of attention.He seemed bothered by having to help us. He put on a fake smile and did and pretended to care, but his action showed otherwise. So unless you want really bad service, cold food, incorrect food, just an all around bad dinner. Christmas - I ordered a Cobb Salad and it was missing ingredients; ordered Lemon Pepper Chicken and it was so salty we couldn't eat them - the seasoning must have been dumped on the chicken and the side of green beans we ordered (veggie of the day) we didn't get we got a plate of overcooked squash. Stopped by on Saturday, 09/09/23 for the first time. I believe this NORMS is relatively new and just opened couple of months ago (could be wrong). This NORMS is located adjacent to the Ontario Mills Mall. My mom actually never tried NORMS so wanted to treat her (& my dad) out! We were on the wait list and waited for about 20-30 minutes. It was super busy and jammed packed. We ordered the following: - 1 Fish and Chips ($13.99) - 1 Fried Shrimp ($15.99) - 1 Blackened Salmon ($17.99) SUBTOTAL = $47.97 TAX = $4.20 TOTAL = $52.17 Sooo good! Each person also gets a free, complimentary salad and soup. We were already full after eating the salad and soup so took our main dish leftovers to go. Overall 4/5. I sat at the bar seating and was ignored by all the staff for 15 minutes. No menu. No drink. Multiple servers looked at me and just ignored me sitting there. We were immediately seated on Sunday at 9:30 after leaving a cafe that had an hour wait. Our server Casandra was welcoming and got our order quickly! She was so accommodating particularly with our drinks and made sure we were enjoying everything we had at our tables. I came on their second day so i don't think most people know they are open yet. It was pretty empty. I got seated right away, and there were a lot of workers just standing around. I think they are anticipating it to be very busy. My waitress Marina was super attentive and friendly. I got the steak big breakfast and wanted the hash browns extra crispy. (Not a good idea- they taste kind of burnt- but that's my fault for asking for it that way) The steak I got medium rare- which I think was risky for a diner- except it's their second day so i think I'm safe lol. Dont expect steak house quality or anything but it was still pretty good. The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy- which sometimes i get over cooked eggs when I get them over easy. Overall I had. Great experience and great food. I also know this is because they just opened, and aren't too busy yet. The other Norms I've visited were always busy. First time going to a Norms. Basic diner food at affordable (for 2023) prices. They're open 24 hours which is a bonus because a lot of restaurants in the area stopped being open super late night after the pandemic. Wasn't expecting much so can't complain besides how small some of the tables are, especially if someone were to order their meals with all the add ons like drinks and hotcakes. The butter I received for my baked potato wasn't melting all the way and I noticed it tasted like honey mustard. Asked my partner and he confirmed the taste. But it looked like butter? Excited to see Norms opened next to Ontario mills! Norms is known for breakfast and this location has signs says 24/7! We waited roughly 15 to 20 minutes on a Sunday lunch. Plates are big and prices too. However I see 20% off menu for mil/police/emu/seniors, and if you sign up their online app; you get free SoCal breakfast. We have two adults and two kids. We ordered SoCal breakfast , choice of sausage or bacon, egg( choose style), pancake, hash brown. One strawberry lemonade ( refillable ). Meatloaf with potato tots, mushroom, squash. Giant waffle that my 5 year old finished 3 quarters of it. Flavor is a little bland for me on pancake but am you can add butter and syrups. Food taste better than Dennys in my opinion. Service is good for a newly opened restaurant and staff are friendly. Last you pay your check at the counter and tip there as well. Will be back again as they keep running good promotions! The environment is busy and lots of family with kids. It's exactly like a family restaurant. A place where kids won't complained. Decor is modern and plenty of tables.
