Incredible service by Michael! He gave us great appetizer recommendations (meatballs + truffle garlic bread -- both delicious) and came around to our table just the right amount. Super friendly and personable. The food was amazing too! We got the spicy rigatoni and beef short rib and the donuts + espresso for dessert. Both entrees were full of flavor and came out quickly. Love this place! Great service and absolutely delicious food! AP was our server and he was the best! He actually knows about wine when you ask questions and he knows what pairs well with what. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was sooo good too. We did the happy hour pizza and bottle of wine which was well worth the $30. Also got the Tuscan kale salad which was very delicious. I'm not a huge fan of Italian food however I was definitely impressed with North's Fresh pasta made daily appetizers and dessert menu. I had the opportunity to dine before hitting the interstate. The weather was phenomenal and the outdoor ambiance was refreshing. My friends and I ordered a Margherita Pizza $12, Crisp Calamari $12, Caesar Salad $9 & Spaghetti & Meatballs $16. Dessert was heaven we ordered the Salted Caramel Budino $7 and my absolute fave Tiramisu (the crisp chocolate balls were so delicious). Next time I'm in Scottsdale I'll definitely return. read more

I highly recommend North Italia! Last night was my second time visiting the restaurant and I was not disappointed. The food is delicious. My group ordered zucca chips, white truffle garlic bread, and the chef's board to share. All of these small plates are were amazing. I was especially surprised by how good zucca chips can be. I personally ordered the house specialty bolognese. After all the small plate foods, I wasn't able to finish the whole pasta. The plate is a decent size. I saved a little more than half and ate it for lunch the next day (not something I normally do - but it was just as good the next day). Last time I visited, I ordered the strozzapreti and also loved it. Next time, I'd like to order the beef tenderloin. The layout is nice. I don't like that valet parking is not optional. Especially considering the small parking lot and how close it is to the entrance of the restaurant. Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Don't know why anyone in Phoenix would go anywhere else for Italian food. Pasta is fresh and tasty. Get the grilled bread with cheese and some sweet goodness (I was so enraptured I missed the name of the olive oil like sweet sauce). Most dishes are well proportioned in terms of servicing size. Ravenous? Don't get ravioli. Amazing but not enough unless you add in salad, bread and dessert (we pigishly did after licking the plate and thanking God we were eating at home to avoid public embarrassment). And Desserts are scrumptious! Not the cheapest of places but you get what you pay for and this is well worth it. read more

I've been going here for years. Always great food and pleasant service. I especially enjoy the zucca chips as a starter and the chicken Parmesan is really good! Their salads are also good but it does seem that the salad portions have gotten a little smaller recently. The grilled bread is also really tasty and highly addictive:) read more

Finally made it to North after months of hearing about how amazing it is. The restaurant is beautiful and was following COVID regulations. Our server was extremely nice and provided excellent service. My friend dropped some sauce on her white shirt and our server dropped off club soda without even asking. Our drinks were very refreshing. The best of the 6 drinks we tried that day was definitely the orange creamsicle type drink. The pasta was homemade and we saw them making tortellini and it was pretty cool to see it go from that stage to the plate. Portions were rather large and prices pretty fair. My brother is super picky and wanted to edit his food and Nickolas didn't have a problem. He helped us as much as he could and was super patient. Went into North Arcadia last night for restaurant week. Servers were great, did awesome from start to finish! Unfortunately, I got food poisoning and was up sick as hell all night. I called this morning to report to the manager, who was unapologetic, and for the record I was nice and not upset, even thought I was sick all night and most of today. The "manager on duty" said, "I'll have the GM call you back". Nobody ever called me back. Not the GM, not another manager, nobody. My sole reason for reporting this was so they could be aware so no other customer would get sick. Apparently they did not care...not about my food poisoning and not about other customers coming in today. Very disappointed. read more

Can't recommend this place enough. I had a first date at North Italia last year so we returned for our anniversary this year. To start, the valet is a nice touch. Wasn't super necessary, as they parked my car right outside the door, but classes things up nonetheless. We started with the Burrata Di Stagione, which was amazing in taste, but a bit pricy for 3 pieces. As a main course, she had the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, and I had the Squid Ink Tonnarelli, both of which I highly recommend. Our waiter did a great job of recommending a wine pairing for me, and he was very attentive while not hovering. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for a special occasion, as it can get pricey pretty quickly but by in large, it's worth the price. read more

The atmosphere here at night was spacious and very nice. I can imagine it would look aesthetically pleasing during the day too. This is already a perfect date spot. We sat down at a big table and our server, Kim recommended wine choices and we ordered a charcuterie. It was a pretty big board with prosciutto, bread, nuts, asparagus, and cheeses. We then ordered as a second course of Caesar and kale salad, both which were complex and definitely were very good. Finishing off with squid ink pasta and a bolognese. They were amazing. This was our third time dining at North Italia, and the most underwhelming. We started with garlic truffle bread. I was so looking forward to this, but much of the bread was overdone and had a burnt taste. My husband had the squid ink mafaldine. No complaints from him. I had the scallops, served on a bed of risotto. The squash with the dish was great, but the scallops themselves tasted a bit charred. I'd never order them again. We had 2 beers a piece (none of which were on tap) and the total before tip was nearly $90. Totally not worth that kind of money, in my opinion. I don't know if we'll be back read more

Despite the fact that it was a busy night, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes at least, with a party of 10-12, because the previous group was taking their time finishing up. The staff did not seem eager to expedite the process or accommodate us. Once seated, while we were being kind to our hostess, she seemed uninterested and a bit unkind.
