Where do I start. Let me just start by saying I was fuming when I left. I have been a customer of this place for I don't know how long. Every time we come to this place the service has been good. Today was awful. I arrived at this restaurant ready to pick up my food that I ordered over the phone. I was instructed to go to the bar where you pick up the to go orders as I have done in the past. I get to the bar and I stand there for about almost 10 minutes, waiting for someone to acknowledge that I am there. There are two waitresses or bartenders rather, that we're working that we're obviously not overly busy, who both looked me dead in the face and said nothing. One bartender, who happen to be black, (I'm black, this isn't about race), came up to where I was standing to take another guest's orders looked me in the eye and still didn't say anything, then went about his day. I made contact with him again and he still said nothing, not even "will be right with you." Same goes for the other bartender. Another girl who seemed to be in training came and was placing orders on the counter around me that I assumed had also been called in. I asked her if she worked there she said yes and then another girl shows up and asked me what my order is. I could tell the other girl was obviously in training so I didn't take my anger out on any of them. Moral of the story is if you don't wanna work and treat everybody the same then don't work at all. A simple "we will be right with you" would've sufficed but the fact that I stood there for 10 minutes and got no acknowledgment from anybody in this fucking establishment is mine blowing. Moral of the day, treat everybody the same whether they be black, white, rich, poor. You never know who you're coming in encounters with. Today, I was the bigger person but I can guarantee the next time I won't be. I refuse to continue to spend my money here but I do hope that for other people's sake and for the future they change the way they run their to go orders. Made a reservation last night 7/18/21 for 8 people and were all seated promptly. We got two bottles of Riesling and it was sweet. We all ordered different plates, I got the squid ink malfadine and it was to die for, so delicious! I had to offer a bite to my friends and they all said my plate was the best lol. read more

Whenever I'm in the area and feeling some heart pasta, I think of North Italia. The pasta is homemade fresh everytime. You can tell the chefs here put a lot of heart into their food. The waiter was welcoming, constantly refilling my water and offering insight on the menu. I can always expect great service here. The food is magnificent especially the truffle butter bread which is addicting like crack. I tend to always get the bolognese. Hands down my new favorite Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is phenomenal. Highly recommend the Bolognese and the Chicken Parmigiana. Also the Garlic truffle bread is to die for. The zucca chips were an unexpected surprise in that I didn't expect them to be as good as they were! Another great aspect was a man making fresh pasta while we were there. He seemed to thoroughly enjoy what he was doing and it made my first experience there that much more enjoyable. In short, it's a good restaurant as long as you don't mind the strict valet parking rules. This restaurant is very particular on pushing valet parking. They pretty much make it as a requirement and not as an option, so it's very inconvenient for those who value freedom of choice. I arrived at this restaurant without knowing the valet requirement, so I did a self-parking. The valet worker there made a big deal out of it. He tried to school me about legal liability as if he has a PhD in law and just doing a part time valet job during weekend. I talked to a manager and she eased off the situation and ask valet worker to make it work (who still tried to give me a hard time after manager told him make it work). It's all nice and smooth after the parking issue was resolved. Great food, great service. This restaurant is about quality and value. The menu is all about choice (which makes their parking rule quite ironic if you ask me). I would definitely go back again if this restaurant offers choice for parking, but that probably won't happen. If you don't care about being forced to valet park, then I would say it's a 4-star. If you do not like being forced on parking, then consider this review a 2 star. read more

The food is amazing, we ordered the Zupa chips, and bread with truffle butter, absolutely delicious. The sea scallops with risotto was cooked to perfection. My daughter sorta made up her own pasta(pregnancy urges) and my niece order the chicken pesto pasta, which she enjoyed. Our server was very nice and accommodating. My only disappointment was, I had purchased 200.00 worth of Fox Concept Restaurant gift cards, and had no idea that North Italia was sold to Cheesecake Factory, so my cards were not accepted. We dined at North on Saturday night and it was a wonderful experience start to finish. Valet was very friendly to start things off. We were sat and greeted right away. Our server Myles was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The manager Derick also made sure our visit was above satisfaction. We had a fabulous work lunch for 8. I love the clean "industrial farmhouse" vibe - open and airy without being noisy. The modern Italian menu had a lot of great options - we were all struggling with what to order, because everything sounded great. Note, it's a little pricier than most of my regular lunch haunts, but the food, ambiance and service were worth it. We started with the zucca chips - yummy fried zucchini chips - sliced thin, lightly salted, yum! One person ordered the fried cauliflower for her entrée - with asparagus and pancetta cream and a fried egg! And you can add chicken to it for extra protein. I ended up ordering the Strozzapeti pasta - chicken, mushroom, spinach and pine-nuts with pasta in a creamy sauce. Wickedly good, but really rich - I could only eat half (and that's unusual!!). The chicken parmesan was fabulous looking (and big!), the grinder sandwich is also on my list to try, and it is served with potatoes that really look delicious. The salads were beautiful! And the prosciutto pizza with figs was a huge hit. No doubt - I will be back. I can't wait to introduce the hubby to this venue and try their dinner menu next! Very good, brought back memories of the osterias in Italy that we visited. The hostess was very nice. We arrived at 7:50 for an 8:00 reservation and were seated by 8:00. We had the Tuscan kale salad. It was well balanced and not over-dressed. The grapes and apples gave a nice bit of sweetness. I got the bolognese and the husband got the diver scallops. The bolognese was delicious, and the pasta was fresh and cooked al dente, just like in Italy. The husband's scallops were seared just right, and the risotto was creamy without being too heavy. We did not have room for dessert, but the menu looked yummy. The waitress, Deserae was awesome. Very attentive without being overbearing, and kept us updated on the status of our food. She even refilled our water (the bottle was sitting on our table, we could easily do it) every time she came by. Have you ever visited a restaurant and wanted to stay longer, even after you were done eating? That is North Italia. I was visiting from out of town and went to lunch with some girlfriends on a Friday afternoon. It helped that the weather was great, but they had all the doors open even though we were inside. The vibe of the place is super cool and modern, yet homey. (See pics!) Our waitress was super helpful in recommending popular items and her favorites. She also was sweet to our friend (the Bride, getting married the next day) and made her feel special. Their presentation was fun, all around. (See photo of mimosa.) Excellent Italian restaurant located in the Arcadia/Biltmore area. North offers a classic Italian ambiance with a little hipster flair. Every dish I have had is delectable, so you cannot go wrong with anything you order. The only drawback is that parking is rather limited and you may have to park in the lot across the street. read more
