I came here because it was highly recommended by my friend, but I was disappointed by the management and the food. I have a 5mo old so I came with a stroller and was denied service. My husband inquired as to why such a policy exists and exactly what rule was attempted to be followed, the poor hostess was unable to explain. She offered to get the manager who refused to come offer explanation and instead offered to call the fire Marshall for explanation. The hostess saved the day by quickly giving us a table outside. It was a nice evening so I accepted their offer. We sat down to and ordered food and drink. We were with a group of friends and totaled 7 adults. They did not have the clam linguine or the calamari available. This was around 730pm. We ordered the shaved Brussels sprouts which is my friends favorite, but when it was brought it out it was just shaved Brussels sprouts missing all the toppings that give it flavor. When my friend inquired for the toppings we were told they were out of the toppings (what are they thinking?). The service was a little slow, the rest of the food was mediocre. Just overall very disappointed compared to other Sodel locations. Also not a good look to deny the only minority group (asians) with a baby on Father's Day service because of a stroller. UPDATE! NESK is a lifesaver. Dealing with older and sick parents often means early diners with "ok" food. (ok being charitable) Mom fell in love with the $19 fish board on Monday. Monk/Monk/Sword. Food is always consistent and the seasonally changing fare is delicious. During COVID they were the closest restaurant that had the takeout and mobile order system down to a science and since then I've started to go in regularly. We love this time of year here, not only for everything being less crowded, but mainly for the off-season Northeast Seafood Kitchen specials! We took advantage of the $19 swordfish fish board special and the regular priced fish and chips for takeout last Monday night. Everything was excellent! The swordfish was a large piece of fresh fish cooked to perfection with a delicious apple butter sauce. We all really liked this space! They took our large group without a reservation. We got sat on their outdoor patio, which had a nice view of a field. There were candles on the tables which was a nice atmosphere and almost helped get of the bugs. There was plenty of parking. They had a great drink menu, and we all got fun cocktails. I got swordfish for my dinner which was great. Overall it was somewhat expensive but that's to be expected at a seafood place. Everyone was friendly and the food came out quickly. The first thing you notice when you enter this restaurant is the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. On this evening we sat outside on the patio where they have some heaters positioned around. We were seated immediately and the service was very good. The food was delicious served hot and cooked correctly. I would definitely return and recommend. First came some nice soft bread slices with maple butter. For dinner we sampled the peel and eat shrimp, tossed greens salad which was very fresh, and a lobster roll sandwich that was very smooth and buttery. Oh, and the coleslaw is good too. read more

This place gets solidly good reviews so we decided to give it a go. It's so close to our house that we were excited to try it and hoping it would be off the charts! The restaurant has a welcoming outdoor dining area and the interior (as is the case with all all Sol del shops) is laidback & ascetically pleasing. I had a Caesar (with anchovies that were too fishy) because I found the menu lacking and my husband had the ct lobster roll which was tiny. He wasn't a fan of the size or taste which was also a bit fishy. We would rather pay more and get more. It's been a month since we dined there and he can't even remember the place itself. I admit after a week in the area, I was sooooo Sol-del-ed-out!! If I never see another restaurant with fried chicken and deviled eggs on the menu it will be too soon-but it is a area staple I get it! If you are going to dominate the restaurant industry in an area please make sure each place is bringing something unique & special to the table! If anyone can figure it out - it's you. This place was a last minute decision for my group of 7. The restaurant is very nice and clean with a lot of seating inside and outside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food overall was good. My only con was the farmers bowl. It wasn't thought out at all in my opinion. I've been a vegetarian for a long time and I could have thrown this 20 mins meal together at home. It was sautéed vegetables over white rice and it was over $20 which was completely ridiculous. Friendly greeting , quick seating- simple atmosphere - no particular ambiance. Our waiter was very personable and attentive_ excellent service . Our fish dinners very tasty- preferred nicely. Our only missing star is related to peaches- peaches were the first ingredient of the fish board we both ordered. (I confess they were the reason I selected the board option.). Well there's the missing star - the boards each had only 3 of the tinniest and thinnest slices of 'token peaches' in the mix of largely cucumbers .Then our server convinced us that the peach cobbler was amazing...so after mentioning the absence of peaches on the Dinner plates, we ordered it. You guessed it - a peach cobbler made either almost no peaches . The same tiny 3 thinnest slices each plastered on top of a slab of suggest sort of spice cake- not a cobbler at all and barely peach. Told the waiter - he was 'sorry'. First ingredient in name should have a showing in the product that is not scant. Sadly spoiled nice meal. read more

This was an amazing meal!! Went there for our 25th Anniversary dinner, & it did not disappoint! We ordered a bunch of appetizers- everything was top notch - the cornbread was moist with a nice not too sweet strawberry spread on the top, the mussels were to die for, the fried calamari were perfectly cooked & tender, the spiced watermelon was interesting & refreshing and the Caesar salad was not overdressed. came here when i was on vacation at rehoboth beach and i loved it!! i got the lobster roll, which came with kettle chips and coleslaw. the lobster was tender, juicy and delicious. i only wished they put more than one roll on a dish because most of the dish was just chips lol. i got the catfish bites and clams for appetizers, which were delicious. some of my family members got the seafood stew which i was able to try. i think i really liked the soup itself. it gets very busy here so our family got here right when it opened and was able to secure a table. servers are nice and attentive, and all very young. i recommend coming here for good seafood when ur in the area! read more

We dined outside and the fly infestation ruined our evening. We felt very very rushed and pressured to order our drinks before we could look at the menu. The same was true with our appetizers. The water served to us was room temperature and had to ask for a couple glasses of ice. We were not finished with our salad and the main course came out along with more flies . The halibut was dry , not seasoned and basically inedible. I did not eat it. We had come here for several years and tonight was the last time . Just awful. They were more concerned with turning the table than the customer. Crossing this place off my favorites list Nicole- thanks for the response. But the fly situation , room temperature water on a hot summer eve and the over cooked halibut has not much to do with training the server. Speaking of the server when I asked what the summer vegetable was that was to accompany the halibut she wasn't sure what I was speaking about. Then she said summer squash. When it arrived it was shredded squash with onions- if I had known onions were in it I would have asked for a substitute since I don't eat onions. 3 out of our 6 guests have work in the restaurant business ( each over 10 years) the biggest mistake is rushing customers. 6 guests ordering drinks, appetizer and main course and we were out the door in an hour. Totally unacceptable considering the total bill , including tip was over $600. I don't believe there really anything further to discuss at this point. If I could give a half star I would! read more

Overall good experience as one of the SoDel Concepts restaurants in the area. Service however lacks personality and the food menu is somewhat limited in variety. But for what they offer it is still a good dining experience. Service: We arrived at 4:45 pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was already 2/3 occupied, it is in the middle of summer vacation in July. We were greeted and were seated right away, with seating available both inside and outside of our choosing. Our server was prompt in taking our drinks and appetizers orders which came out promptly. We then placed our food orders and they came out also quickly. Everything is pretty mechanical. There was not an extra hi or smile, it's not personable. Food: Between beers, cocktails and wine, the drinks menu offer a great variety of adults beverages featuring Matt's home brew products. We ordered fried soft shell crab, poke tuna, fried shrimp, and chicken tender from the kids menu. Fried Shrimp and Chicken Tender came with ample of fries. We also had fried calamari for appetizer which was fried with just the right amount of breading with plenty of chewy soft squid inside, pairing with a Mayo-based dipping sauce. Fried soft shell crab was from the specials menu, the crab was small and it came with 2 per plate, serving on top of three half/cut tomatoes sprinkled with sunflower seeds and a smear spread of dill-Mayo sauce on the plate. Ambiance: Outside seatings are available on the side of the restaurant as part of their regular setting, with decorative lighting which can be nice. We could have seat outside but chose to be inside as it was in the mid-80s. There was no social distancing at the restaurant, and no one was wearing masks. Interior decoration follows the theme of casual farm chic which is consistent with its sibling restaurant Thompson Island but NorthWest is smaller. read more
