Stopped by on a Sunday morning around 11 AM. I ordered ahead for pickup, and everything was ready on time. The café is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, so getting in and out was easy. The interior is bright and cute with a cozy atmosphere. Even though I wasn't dining in, it seemed like a nice place to sit in. Service was also friendly. I ordered the Ube Coco Latte and the Matcha Soufflé Pancake. The latte was rich, creamy, and smooth. The ube and coconut complemented each other well without either flavor being too overpowering. My only disappointment was that they don't offer a decaf option. The Matcha Soufflé Pancake took a little while to prepare, which is expected for soufflé pancakes. The pancakes were a little more moist than I personally prefer, but likely because I took it to-go. The mango purée was easily my favorite part, I honestly could have eaten it by itself. Combined with the foam and the subtle matcha flavor, everything came together nicely without being overly sweet. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for a café with unique drinks and desserts. I'd like to dine in next time I go!
Wiggly jiggly! NOT TOO SWEET matcha souffle is my compliment to this dessert - just how I like it! Takes about 20 minutes to prepare this fresh, eggy fluffy goodness. I appreciated the strawberry toppings... refreshing! Strawberry ice cream and the glaze over the bananas were TOO SWEET for me, but I'm sure would satisfy any sweet tooths since the souffle itself is not sweet. Small cafe seating area for small talk. Don't forget to wiggle the plate, and enjoy the presentation!
I've been here a few times, and safe to say this is one of my favorite dessert spots in OC. Parking: Free parking lot. They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small/medium space with a good amount of indoor seating. Perfect for a date, a fun family spot, and I even noticed some people studying. Minimalist decor. Service: Every encounter we had with a worker was nice. They're very transparent about the wait times. If you're ordering a soufflé, it'll take about 15 min per soufflé. Drinks will come out faster. Since there were a few parties ahead of us, we waited about 40 min for our soufflés. Dessert & drinks: Trust me, it's worth the wait. Their soufflés are very fluffy and jiggly. Surprisingly, they're not overly sweet (depending on what you order). I've tried majority of their soufflés, and I enjoy them all. You can share this between two people. As for their drinks, the teas are refreshing, the smoothies are delicious, and the coffee is okay. Pricing: Prices are pretty high, but it's worth it. Treat yourself once in a while!
Ordered for pick up and the drinks were perfectly made. The Matcha flavor is ceremonial and doesn't taste artificial. The black sesame was really good and I could taste the roasted flavor in the drink, but it wasn't overpowering the Matcha. The flavors blended together perfectly. Both drinks were not too sweet at 75% sugar. Overall, good drinks. Will be back again!
Came in with a friend to try a coffee and sweet treat. Theres Plenty of seating, clean esthetic and the staff greeted upon entry. I got the Banana Pudding Latte and taramisu soufflé pancakes, she got a Strawberry milk and mango sticky rice. The Latte had a scoop of yummy banana Pudding on top, this was a first for me. I enjoyed the texture and flavor or the pudding while sipping the latte. It was quite delicious. The taramisu souffle was yummy, but I was expecting a little more in regards to flavor. The texture of the pancakes was perfect and the cream top was good, just seemed to miss a little something. Im not a mango person and I have never tried sticky rice before. It had mango, rice, shaved ice and condensed milk. It was pleasantly refreshing and well balanced with sweetness and flavors. The price point is kind of hight, but you do get pretty big portion sizes. We enjoyed everything overall, I just dont know if it wowed me enough to return.
My son has been asking me to come back, so we decided to return and try out the drinks this time, as well as a little bit of everything else. I brought home Jinggly cat pudding for the family. (It's so darn cute!) So far, my favorites are the matcha cloud jasmine tea and the ube soufflé.
I got the tiramisu soufflé, and I would say I was a bit disappointed, it didn't really meet my expectations. I was hoping for more in terms of flavor and texture, but it just didn't quite stand out for me. That being said, the service was quick and efficient, and there are plenty of seating areas available, which makes it a comfortable place to sit and hang out. I just personally expected a bit more from the soufflé, especially considering the price point, which felt a little high for what it was. Overall, it was still nice to try, but it's probably not something I would reorder.
I really wanted to love the bogo Chestnut Latte, but unfortunately, the coffee flavor was extremely weak. All I could really taste was the milk and sweetness, and it ended up tasting more like a sweet milkshake than a coffee. For a Vietnamese coffee shop, I was definitely expecting a stronger coffee flavor. Hopefully, the owners will consider adding more coffee to the Chestnut Latte to better balance out the milk and sweetness. I think it would make the drink so much better!
Went back for the soufflés. I got the tiramisu one, which was the best seller, followed by the strawberry and Nutella. They said the wait time was 30 minutes, and I actually timed it because the place was packed. I was a bit skeptical, but they actually made it in 21 minutes. The soufflé isn't sweet at all; it's airy, and the toppings help add the sweetness. Excited to try more.
The tiramisu soufflé was not as good as I imagined it. The pancakes were fluffy and thick but there was not enough cream around it to give it that tiramisu flavor. The cup of coffee made it worse because it was bitterness on top of the flavorless pancakes. Also the amount of cacao powder made it more bitter and dry. The banana matcha was not good. Service was bad this day. They didn't greet nor look welcoming while taking order.
We came here at night, and one great thing about this place is that it stays open quite late. I ordered the "current hype" -- the Ube Soufflé -- and the staff mentioned there would be about a one-hour wait before it could be served. Since it already took us nearly an hour to get here, I decided to wait for it anyway. To my surprise, the soufflé actually arrived in less than an hour, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the Ube flavor itself was a little disappointing for my personal taste, as I felt it didn't pair as well with the soufflé texture as expected. Perhaps next time I'd try a different flavor instead of the Ube. Decor was minimalist though and place looked quite cozy.
Great spot for Japanese pancakes! They're fluffy, delicious, and the service is quick and convenient. I also appreciated that there weren't long lines. The only things I'd love to see are a simple coffee option and maybe a side of eggs to round out the meal. Other than that, the pancakes are definitely worth a visit.
Got the double matcha this time and it was really good!! But 4 stars because it's pricy $8 for a regular sized cup vs some other places. Quality was good but definitely not cheap.
We decided to check out Nostimo Cafe & Tea, a trending spot on social media, located in Little Saigon. When we turned into the plaza, I realized it's just two doors down from a place I've been to before, Com Ga Nam An (famous for their Hainanese chicken rice). I have no idea how I missed it all this time! Like last time, we ended up circling the parking lot forever trying to find a spot! The cafe itself is small, with around 6-7 tables. It's got that classic Instagrammable decor with marble-patterned tables and a whitewashed, wave-shaped concrete bench along the wall. Having lived in Seoul for 12 years and visited countless dessert cafes with similar chic designs, Nostimo feels more on the minimalist side, but still cute and fresh. As for what to order, the menu offers soufflés, Vietnamese coffee, regular coffee, and tea. Since we were already here, I had to try the much-hyped Ube Coco Soufflé ($15.75) and two cups of Cafe Sua Nong (Vietnamese condensed milk coffee, $5.25 each). The soufflé takes about 20 minutes to prepare, so our coffee came first. It was strong and rich--pretty good! When the soufflé finally served, it did have that "wow" factor in terms of presentation! The highest compliment an Asian can give a dessert is "not too sweet," and this soufflé was definitely not sweet at all. My sister and I tend to prefer a bit sweeter and creamy desserts, so we felt like eating a whole lot of nothing. In hindsight, we probably should have gone with the Matcha Red Bean Soufflé, which might've been a bit sweeter. On the side, they served five pieces of bánh da lợn (Vietnamese pigskin cake), and overall, the whole thing felt super light and healthy--almost too healthy for a dessert! They ONLY serve drinks one hour before closing time. PLEASE put a sign up and/or announce your kitchen is closed for the day, so your customers who made the drive for the soufflé pancakes can make their decision to stay or leave without standing in line. On a previous trip, I ordered their Nutellamisu soufflé pancakes, it was not sweet and it tasted watered down. The texture, the jigglingness and presentation was a plus, but the taste was just ok. I would recommend their pistachio matcha latte if you're in the mood. Will give this place another go and try their other soufflé pancake flavors! read more

Wow. Impressed with the quality of their strawberry shaved ice. Came for the mango version but they were out but I am not at all disappointed. No wonder they were packed. I love that they gave sides of condensed milk and strawberry sauce, but shaved ice was perfectly sweet and rich as is. 10/10 recommended! Need to return for the mango :) read more

Recently went to try the soufflés here and got the Matcha Brûlée and Tropical Strawberry Soufflés. They were both really soft and really fun to break into, but overall the flavor was not there. They were bland, even though yes they were delicate, I really wished it had a sweeter component to enhance it. Aesthetically, it looks really nice, but the flavor was not coming through. Decent amount of seating, and the wait for the soufflés were quite long. Love the concept, but the flavor didn't hold up. Matcha brûlée, and Tropical Strawberry were both $16.50 each. read more

Overall: 3.5/5 Nostimo is a cute cafe with aesthetic drinks and desserts. We were nearby and needed some caffein so my family & I stopped by for a drink. The drinks were good but had too much ice and not enough liquid. For that reason, I don't think it's worth it as there are so many other great cafes with Vietnamese inspired drinks. I do want to come back to try their souffle pancakes though. Nostimo Cafe Muoi Me/Black Sesame Coffee ($6.25) With Oat Milk ($0.50): This was good but nothing outstanding for a speciality coffee. I thought it would be a blended sesame coffee but they just sprinkle black sesame on top. Granted, the black sesame was good and paired well with the coffee, but I wasn't impressed enough to want more or come back to try their other drinks. Tra Sen Vang/Lotus Tea ($6.75): My husband got this thinking it was lactose-free but the lotus tea is topped with a white foam. It does come with some actual lotus seeds as well. I didn't get to try it before he mixed it up so I'm not sure how the lotus tea tastes by itself. The mixed version was okay and my husband agreed. read more

Currently one of my new favorite study cafes! I like how they aren't too busy and have a good amount of seating inside. There were a few outlets so if you needed to charge your laptop you can you would just have to find an open spot. I will say that the music was a little bit loud but I enjoy studying with some background noise so it's fine but if you're looking for a more quiet place this may not be it. It could also just be the days I go maybe it's louder. The workers are always very nice and the drinks are just as good. They have a lot of unique drinks that make them special and I can't wait to try more! read more
Wow! So good! We had ube coco coffee, strawberry bingsu (yogurt), & Nutella pancake soufflé & strawberry pancake soufflé. All were delicious! The bingsu was like eating fluffy yogurt snow! So light with delicious strawberry sauce and vanilla sauce with fresh strawberries. Both pancakes were light and fluffy. Both came with fresh fruit and complimentary sweet sauce. They were melt in your mouth delicious. It is SUPER popular - prepare to wait. Great vibe and kind friendly employees! PS love the elephant tree- had to take a picture!! read more

Needed a little kick during my break and tried the new Cloud Matcha Jasmine Milk Tea at Nostimo Cafe & Tea -- totally hit the spot! Super refreshing, and gave me that perfect mid-day boost. The mix of earthy matcha and light floral jasmine is just smooth and creamy with that dreamy "cloud" foam on top. It's the perfect balance of flavor and vibe If you love matcha but want something a little different and more fragrant, you need to try this one. Found this place on tik tok and wanted to see if the food tasted as good as it looked online. We ordered the strawberry fluffy pancakes with a matcha and a strawberry matcha. When I first ordered the strawberry matcha, I thought it was going to be a strawberry foam and not a puree. However the regular matcha drink was sooo much better and I should've just ordered it regular. Now, the fluffy pancakes. The pancakes was very good itself, and be mindful that it'll take about 45 min for it to served to you because I think they make everything from scratch. The indoor dining area is nice, but there's not much seating to accommodate everyone. You can tell the place is very popular and it filled with people within the first 2 hours of it being opened. The soufflé pancakes are the best! So fun that they are jiggly, but the perfect balance of flavors. It's not overly sweet so you don't feel sick after eating. In fact I wanted to keep eating more! The coffee is quite strong. If you like a little on the sweeter side, get the Ube Latte. The coffee still shines through. Quick service even when it got busy and others were ordering multiple items. Seems busier in the afternoon and all the seats fill up. But it is spacious and you still have room for yourself or your group even when it is busy. read more

It was my first time I coming in. It was 7:20pm today and I ordered a hot tiramisu coffee. I was helped within 1-2mins cause the employee was talking to another customer ahead of me. The drink came out fairly quick. Less than 5 minutes. When I got the drink it felt very light like a 1/4 was coffee and 1/4 was foam. I paid almost 7 dollars for this drink. I figured it would be atleast 3/4 fill atleast. Good to know for next time when I come back again. The ambience was nice. Plenty of seating and bright lighting. read more

We tried the Strawberry Soufflé and the Nutella Soufflé, and were blown away by how colorful and beautifully presented they were! The Nutella Soufflé had a better balance between the pancake and the topping (Nutella sauce) compared to the Strawberry, which had noticeably less strawberry jam. Also, the ice cream served on the side was a tiny portion compared to the size of the soufflé -- so you'd either finish your ice cream all the way at the beginning, halfway through, or save it for the end and eat it completely melted! While the soufflés presentation was impressive, the inside of the café wasn't as clean or tidy as expected. The staff were helpful in answering questions, but their responses were very short -- if our questions had been welcomed a bit more, we might have ordered additional items we later saw on other tables and would have loved to try! Unfortunately, by then, it was too late as we had already ordered enough. Additionally, the pile of dirty dishes by the trash can and the worn-out furniture of the café underrepresented the impressive quality of the soufflés. read more

Love how the decor their place, neat, modern and clean look. We arrived 4 peoples on Sunday late afternoon. hard to find seat, a lot peoples sitting there with their laptop and hang out. The only available 2 tables was super afternoon bright sunlight shine on. Other than that there's a few tables outdoor with full direct sunlight. Could have them to install shade to make customer dine in experience better. It's self serve, order and they call out when food is ready to collect. Overall soufflé kinda little pricey, but taste ok. We stumbled upon Nostimo after visiting my siblings who live in the area . This cozy cafe is located in a huge shared parking lot . The cafe itself is clean, welcoming, and decorated super cute ! Cashier was kind, welcomed us in, and took our order . He also let us know it would be a 20 minute wait for the pancakes, which we totally understood it's made fresh to order . A waitress brought the soufflé pancakes over to our table and set it down . The pancakes were so jiggly, it almost toppled over-- she actually held the plate for me as I took photos lol . The presentation of the soufflé pancakes was beautiful ! The pancakes jiggled just how they should-- slight golden top, voluminous and tall, fruit diced lovely with sauce and whipped cream on the side . The texture of the pancakes were spot on and cooked beautifully . Super fluffy, bouncy, and airy . Unfortunately, the taste of the pancakes flavor fell a little short . It was a bit too "eggy" and flour-rey-- like just whipped egg whites with flour. Sadly, even with the diced yellow Mango with sauce and whipped cream couldn't make up for how "eggy-flavored" the pancakes were . We were bit disappointed, as we've been to a few other souffle shops in the area that are cheaper and more satisfying . I want to give the benefit of the doubt here-- maybe I just ordered the wrong flavor ? Although the mangoes looked yellow and ripe-- they were not sweet and didn't taste fresh . I'm wondering if I had ordered the strawberry or ube, if those would have been a better choice ? The souffle pancakes itself was cooked beautifully-- I wonder if I just got a bad batch that day ? Just finished my matcha soufflé pancakes and tiramisu ice coffee and I'm stuffed. Both were great and so was the woman at the register. I like that they added fruit on the side and some sort of fruit jam. Tastes way better than Burnt Crumbs in Irvine. Dined here on a late morning Tuesday and it's empty and relaxing. Will come back with my kid because he loves pancakes and I would like to try the other coffee flavors and soufflé. read more

This cozy cafe won my heart with its friendly staff and a calm vibe that feels like a warm hug. The matcha is smooth and dreamy, the coffee strong yet comforting. But the real star is the big pancake, fluffy and delicious enough to make you forget all problems. Plenty of parking nearby too. Honestly I could stay here all day. read more

The coffee drinks here were phenomenal! I loved the coco coffee. It is a blended coffee drink with strong coffee but sweet coconut flavor as well. When you mix it, it's delicious and I love that they add bits of shredded coconut on top. 10/10 for that drink. Their tiramisu coffee is also delicious. I recommend mixing it as well to get all the flavors all at once rather than it being too strong. There is plenty of seating but it can get pretty packed, especially later in the day. read more

This small cute café serves delicious desserts and drinks in a strip mall in Garden Grove. The service here was friendly and the café itself is modern, well-lit, and full of seating on the inside. You can find people here hanging out or studying on the weekends or at night. My friend and I came here for the souffle pancakes after seeing all the videos on social media and we finally were able to go recently. We waited about 15 minutes before they were ready and they were so jiggly! They were quite fluffy and light with matcha cream dripping down and red bean on top. It tasted like eating a cloud with a bit of egg and it wasn't too sweet. The pancakes were overall filling but weren't too filling like other desserts. The cashier at the counter was helpful and friendly when we placed our order and I can't wait to come back again to try their other desserts and drinks. read more
I've been here a couple times and I would say the quality is consistent for the most part. Service is always good. Coffee/drinks have been mediocre - I haven't tried anything I've disliked but I also haven't tried anything I would reorder (maybe besides the sesame coffee). The souffle pancakes here have me a bit torn. I really did not care for the tiramisu pancakes I tried my first time here. The pancakes themselves had a potent egg flavor that cut through all the other flavors, which was a bit of a weird experience. More recently, I tried the savory option (the pork floss) and enjoyed it a bit more because the egginess does not clash with the rest of the dish the way it did with the tiramisu. All things considered, I'd come back to try different drinks or if I'm craving the sesame coffee but I'm probably not going to order the pancakes again. read more

stopped by for the pistachio matcha! which could be a skip since the matcha is watered down with no actual matcha taste. i'm not sure if the foam is regular foam or pistachio foam but i didn't taste any pistachio flavor. maybe they only sprinkle pistachio nuts and call it pistachio...for $7.50 is pricey for a mediocre drink. strawberry souffle is good ($16) but the wait for the souffle was about 20-25 mins. prob wouldn't come back for their drinks, maybe for the souffle but there are also lots of cafes that sell souffle too! read more

I try to NOT to be too bias when comes to shops that have good drinks and snacks (it's my kryptonite) but this place is IT. After a couple of my go-to spots became not so go-to I was trying my best to find a place that offered good sized soufflé pancakes and drinks. THIS is the spot just for that. The cafe is rather quaint and modern, a lot of white with wooden accents around the place. The staff are very attentive and will answer any and all questions you may have. I went with a friend and they were willing to add the pistachio cream to their regular iced coffee instead of the regular vanilla one they normally do. The pancakes though were something else, I think the closest I've gotten to like the pancakes in Japan if I'm being honest. They have seasonal flavors along with consistent flavors, and all of them sound divine. I got the strawberry while my friend got their seasonal mango and both were delicious! My drink of choice was their classic matcha with pistachio cream and I gotta say, I tried to savor it as best as I could. I was too excited to eat the pancakes to get a photo or video but I was quick enough to get a photo of our drinks! read more

Small and locally owned, Nostimo offers coffee, tea, soufflés and bingsoo. The inside is very modern and chic, very beautiful and bright. The coffee from here is strong and delicious. I tried the nostimo coffee with jelly (cold) and it was creamy, delicious and full of Vietnamese coffee flavors. I would order this every single time. My fiance tried the sesame coffee (hot) and that was also very flavorful and well caffeinated. We also tried the matcha and red bean soufflé. This was very fluffy, light yet filling. The staff member that helped us was very nice. Since it was our first time here I asked for recommendations and went with her suggestions. I will be back to try other items on their menu, this place is awesome. read more
Let me start by saying....the Tiramisu Coffee is amazing. It was so good. It was sweet but strong. The foam was delicious. Just perfect. I highly recommend you try it. It seems to be one of their popular drinks. My boyfriend got the Ube Latte Coffee and it wasn't that great. It was not sweet at all. It didn't really taste like anything. He did like the Tiramisu drink, though. I don't know if that's how the Ube usually is, or maybe it was just his that was lacking flavor/sweet/sugar. I was really excited to try their Tiramisu Souffle! I ended up being disappointed. The young lady said it would take around 25 min to make. She asked if it was okay and since we didn't have anywhere to be, we said yes. It did take that long, actually. were people working on laptops, but they already had their food. I was a bit surprised when she mentioned it would take that long because no one else was waiting for food. For the price and the 25 min wait, I expected it to be great like the coffee. Unfortunately, the souffle was not good. I've had some from other restaurants and it melts in your mouth. The one at Nostimo was not like that at all. It was a bit hard to cut and tasted a lot like egg. After a few bites, I gave up. My bf had to finish the whole thing because I just couldn't eat anymore. He didn't like it either, but he didn't want to waste food. The only reason why we would be back is for the Tiramisu Coffee. I definitely would not order the souffles anymore.
