It takes about 20 min for them to make souffle pancakes but it doesnt feel too long. I went on a Saturday, around 11am. It wasnt too busy, was able to get a table easily. The souffle pancakes are fluffy but def on the eggy side. Not my favorite but it is not easy to find souffle pancakes imo? I liked the matcha a lot more! It has a generous amount of pistachios and the matcha itself is a rich color and unsweetened. The cream on top is more than enough sweetness for the drink once I stirred it up. Wow! The jiggly Soufflé Pancakes are so good! These are probably the best I've had in California. I love how soft and not too sweet they are - that makes all the difference! Even after mixing I swallowed a huge blob of syrup and the flavor was slightly bitter. This cafe is located in a big plaza full of dessert spots but definitely stood out from the rest. We ordered the mango sticky rice bingsu and it was soo good! The mangoes were ripe and so sweet. We also got a tiramisu bingsu but wasn't as expected, it tasted more like chocolate but if you eat it with the coffee jelly, its okay. They take about 10-15 minutes to make it which was fine since they had enough seating for us to do some work or in my case, write this review. The souffle itself was a 3 stack, very light, had a sweet cream around it with a mango puree and mango chunks all around it. Beautiful and cute plate and perfectly jiggly. It was $15 which I felt was pretty pricey but don't know what the market rate for such a dish would be. Only complaint/recommendation is for them to use the asian mangos as those are usually a lot sweeter and would meld with the flavors better and add to the sweetness. My family and I have been trying our best to find the best Japanese soufflés in SoCal. This is probably our fourth spot in the last week and a half. Nostimo is situated in a strip mall, surrounded by awesome looking Asian food. The inside is bright, and has ample seating. We ordered black coffee, ube latte, an ube soufflé, and a nutellamisu. Twenty-five minutes (pretty standard) later, and our goodies were done. They had a great amount of jiggling, and looked amazing. The ube soufflé was airy and fluffy. The ube flavor was subtle, which is the way I like it. I'm not a big fan of overly sweet desserts. It came with some sort of creamy jelly on the side. Combined with my black coffee, I thoroughly enjoyed my pick. My son had the nutellamisu. He's a tough customer and is turning out to be a little foodie at 11 years of age. The soufflé is a combination of Nutella and tiramisu. Two of his favorite flavors. He said it was enjoyable, but he couldn't taste the, "misu." lol. I stumbled upon the Nostimo Cafe by accident. And a happy accident it was! First off the place is so cute and incredibly clean. The staff was super kind and inviting. Most importantly... The coffee drink was absolutely amazing. I went to order some things that was not very exciting and thought to ask what their most popular beverage items were and they recommended the black sesame iced Vietnamese coffee. I'm so glad I took the recommendation to try something new. I don't remember what the exact name was, but it had three layers with sesame on top and it was divine. It also got me through a really rough day where I needed a little extra kick! They also serve fluffy pancakes, which I absolutely will go back to try. Knowing that they take some time to make, I just didn't have the time that morning, but if they taste anything like my beverage did I know they were gonna be absolutely amazing! Drinks: Nostimo has a new matcha menu with different matcha flavors to choose from! I have tried their matcha latte and pink coconut matcha cloud. When I try matcha, I don't have much to expect as half of the time the matcha I try from different cafes are mediocre. However, Nostimo impressed me with their matcha quality. They use ceremonial grade matcha and there was a umami flavor to it! The only problem was that there wasn't much matcha added to the drinks I ordered yday, so if there was a bit more of that quality matcha, it would've been perfect. For instance, I have tried their matcha latte before and it was very good (hence why I ordered it again), but the one I had yday had more milk than matcha. Ambience: The cafe is clean and aesthetically pleasing for pictures. They have Christmas decorations up already too! There is a lot of seating inside (I think around 8 tables) and outside. On a weekday the place is nice and quiet as there are others studying. On the weekends though it is pretty loud with large groups coming in and out. Pricing: Nostimo is a bit more on the costly side, especially their soufflés which are about $15. I have tried their soufflés once and it was not the best. I think I chose the wrong ones to try, so don't get their Pork Floss Souffle (bland and flavors don't mix) and Ube Coco Souffle (was very sweet and didn't taste the ube). Service: There is usually one person working the counter, so sometimes service is slow during peak hour at night. However, they are really kind and thank you for ordering and coming to the cafe! I'm not usually a coffee drinker as I prefer to get my caffeine through tea, but I was interested in trying this place solely based on the aesthetics. I wanted to at least try one coffee and one tea to have a good idea of the quality of their product. Overall, I wasn't too impressed by the taste. The sesame coffee was recommended for the specialty coffees and I was interested in the mango passionfruit tea. The coffee tasted pretty strong still after getting mixed well. Unfortunately, the sesame flavor was overpowered and I didn't taste it that much. The coffee wasn't super sweet and had more of a savory forward profile. Also keep in mind that the cup is filled mostly with ice but that's to be expected when it comes to coffee. I was hoping for the tea to be refreshing but it was a very intense tart and fruity flavor profile. You have to mix their drinks well or you'll get a mouthful of straight syrup. I couldn't tell if what I was tasting was natural or artificial. I added crystal boba to the tea and paid for it but it was nowhere to be found. The fact that the drink is already $6 and it's .75 to add the topping on and they forgot it, really annoys me. As for the service, it was nothing special. It was the standard Vietnamese small business owner type of service. Not friendly or engaging at all and just took my order. The small details matter to me and the dining space wasn't super clean. Some tables were dirty and sticky with trash like straws and straw wrappers. The interior is nice and modern with different styles of tables and chairs whether you want to sit and do work or just sit and chill. But when it's not well kept, the mess creates a distraction from what should be a seamless experience. I can definitely see the potential for this spot, but with so much competition, all the details matter. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back to trying something else in the future, but would hope to see some improvements on service and drink flavor! read more

Their Black Sesame Coffee and Egg Coffee are the must-try! - The Black Sesame is not overly sweet and flavorful with a right a mount of caffein for a latte. - The Egg Coffee is strong bold on the coffee side and balanced well with lightly sweet and creamy egg foam on top. The flavor, which I believe, is very close to the egg coffee that I had in Hanoi (the north of Vietnam where this drink is originally from). Very authentic, and I do believe Nostimo has the best Egg Coffee in town. Nostimo is near my house, I live across the street . This cozy cafe becomes my go-to spot to bring family and friends here.
