It is always painful to write a negative review for a company I love but my interaction with this specific location was so different than here in CA it calls for some real honesty to warn others. It's reassuring to see negative reviews here on the same issues: delivery and customer service. I placed an online order for a surprise birthday cake for a good friend on her actual birthday. Placed a week in advance, requested morning delivery, submitted payment. Sat back excited to give her this surprise - we both love Nothing Bundt Cakes. Come day of, 2pm and no word on delivery. I not only had to call this location for an update, but find out there was an issue with the delivery and locating the address...yet they did not notify me. I was advised by Karisa that my only option was to have my friend do a pick-up, or pay delivery fee again. I'm sorry, what? The address I entered was 100% accurate, so the error wasn't my fault...why the nonchalant reaction? I could feel the shrug over the phone. She passed the phone to Mary. I thought she would be empathetic, being the Manager, but not the case. Instead, felt like she got on the defense. Said she spoke to the driver who claimed to have called not 1 but 2 #s once she reached the location and that she even went to the leasing office for verification. Well that's a problem, since my friend does not live in an apartment complex. Clearly they screwed up. And what calls? Neither of us saw anything in our missed call logs. Yet still...no admission of guilt or any degree of empathy, at all. Tell me why I not only ruined the surprise for my friend on her actual birthday, but had to get her that day to join me on a 3-way call back with the Manager to prove that they had indeed delivered to the wrong address. Tell me why this Manager decided to pull the address on googlemaps only AFTER I got my friend on the phone to realize I was telling the truth. Also, I am still waiting for her to produce the screenshot where her driver claimed to have called both of us before departing. And if not, at the very least, an apology for her mistake. So incredibly disappointed with this experience. Also, I work in the retail industry so have to note throughout this exchange at no point did I get aggressive or combative. Instead, I found myself apologizing (ME) for pressing for a solution but it was just the principle of it all, that at no point was this ever my fault. Yet even when she realized they had messed up...not one 'Sorry' or anything to indicate she understood where I was coming from. In fact, she told me delivery would not only have to wait until the following day but be in the afternoon, vs. morning as requested. How does this story end? An e-mail checking in on status and following up on something the Manager said she would check up on went blatantly ignored which is the only reason why I am moving forward with sharing my experience. No proof/screenshot she promised was shared, or any acknowledgement, period. "Follow up" call only came 3 days and a yelp review later. Submitting details to the link provided below in the automated review reply by the company was then confirmed by them that it just to goes back to this location, which is pointless and defeats the purpose. Their cakes are so delicious. I am glad that they come in smaller sizes since the icing is so sweet. I very much enjoy many of their different flavors. The chocolate and the vanilla are basic. They sometimes have flavors of the month like pumpkin. There is also lemon and raspberry white chocolate. Can you have too much of a good thing? That is a common question. I like how their shop tends to be very efficient and quick. There are interesting Knick knacks to look at and to but if interested. You can even get double the cream cheese frosting if you want. That will cost a little more. You can also get it decorated too. I think these are good for celebrations and other events. Surprisingly my family has gotten tired of the usual flavors, but the texture of the cakes are great since they are soft and moist. I don't think I've ever experienced a more rude worker at a Nothing Bundt Cakes. I drove to come here with my birthday email for a bundt cake and I was so excited. I go inside and pick my Bundt cake flavor and she's very demanding in needing to see the email and date listed. No problem, I showed her. Then she demanded me to scroll lower for the location listed. Again, I did as she asked and she said that she couldn't accommodate me since apparently it is only good at the location listed and I should have a good day. So I left. I will NOT be coming here to purchase any Bundt cakes in the future. Side note- the coupon says it is valid at participating bakeries. Not only valid at your local bakery. I ordered a dozen of cupcakes online and was able to customize the flavors, add flags, and write a personal note. I messed up on my online order and scheduled the pickup day too early, so I just called them the next day when they opened and they were able to correct it for me. My fave flavors from the set I got were the red velvet and double chocolate! Soooo moist and yummy. The frosting was not too sweet and they put just enough and not too much, unlike other cupcakes. Surprised by customer service. Disappointed!! I ordered 2 dozen bundtini's for my daughters volleyball team. I was running late as it takes about 30 minutes to get to this location from my home, but thought it is worth it. 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back. When I arrived I gave my name for pick up and ask if I could get an extra box so that I could put 8 in each box. The woman said that they charge for them. I replied that is fine. She returned with my 2 boxes and told me that she cannot give me a box or even charge me for one. I ended up having to stop at the dollar store to get something to separate the bundtini's. I was a little embarrassed that I had to bring them this way, but made it work. I will post picture. Though I really like the bundt cakes. I will not return. Completely disappointing experience. I placed my order a full week before Easter at the Indian School store. This was not the store that was convenient for me, but the store that was literally around the corner from me stated they could not accommodate my 12 Buntini order. ????? Ok. So I will drive 20 miles one way to obtain these mini cakes. When I got to the location, I was on time for my 3:00pm pickup. But, my order was not ready. But, ok, holidays are crazy and I was there the Saturday before Easter. But the woman that helped me- she looked at me like I was "less than". I don't know how else to describe her look. It was nearing disapproval or disgust. She appeared with my order, - box was sealed- I had zero idea or confirmation that it was correct before I left. Now, I served the cakes Sunday evening. We left the dessert out about 45 minutes before being served. They were dry, and nothing spectacular. Definitely not worth the money, the drive, not the treatment.
