Nice gourmet spot!!! Cool complex flavors, great staff and cozy atmosphere!!! Can't wait to come back fads

We went there for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The South African Bunny Chow, Malaysian Curry Laksa, and Dominica Pastelon were all fantastic, though i would make sure to order the Dominica first as it's has a milder flavor profile than the others. The cocktails, Kala Manasuna, and Dirty Diplomatic, were both fantastic. The brussel sprouts were good to have a veggie, though not great, so i might try the Syrian salad next time as that came recommended. Cozy, but open atmosphere and friendly staff made for a very inviting atmosphere. Look forward to coming back. read more

This is probably the worse service I have ever experienced. I never write reviews, but I absolutely had to for one as this really hit me hard. We arrived today at March 1 at around 12pm not knowing there were Yelp reservations. When we asked how long the wait time was - we were given the response of around 30 minutes. Since we had time today, we decided to wait. After seeing table after table of customers being seated, we were curious what the updated time was since we were already there for over 40 minutes at this point. Seeing as how the waitress acted like I was invisible, I had to chase her down in order to receive any response. After consulting her, she ensured that we would receive a table in the next few minutes as we were next in line. At this point, I was extremely annoyed at the service seeing as more tables of customers went in getting seated. When I consulted for a third time, she finally told us, we have a table for 2 available for us. Note: we were a table of 3. We decided enough was enough and left as this was horrid service, made us wait about an hour, just to watch them act like we were not there at all. Horrible. read more

If you're having trouble figuring out where to go for dinner tonight go here! We were waffling between Vietnamese and New American one evening and found Nue on Yelp. We ended up inviting a couple friends along and for about $110 we had two mixed drinks and 5 dishes from the menu, plus we split a "liquid nitrogen" ice cream -- walked away stuffed... we probably ate a bit too much! read more

We came here on a weekend evening with one other couple and it was great! The communal seating was interesting and turned out to be fine. The restaurant is loud so don't expect a romantic dinner with quiet conversation. The drink menu was creative and very flavorful. I ordered the jerk chicken and it was the best jerk chicken I have had in my entire life! It was very flavorful and moist. I would highly recommend this restaurant! read more

I was really excited to try this place but nothing really wowed me. We had the crispy noodles, Israeli sabich, and goat curry. The goat curry was definitely the best of the three. The sabich was just ok - didn't have enough fresh flavors, needed lighter citrus dressing or fresh israeli salad in there to balance the heavier flavors of eggs, eggplant, hummus. The crispy noodles I just didn't like - flavors were not blended well, seasonings were kind of stuck at the bottom and I would get a mouthful of overpowering flavors if I tried to scoop them up with the noodles. read more

Really don't know what the fuss is about... So over priced for what it is Chicken wings were supposed to be spicy but was sweet. Cold noodles were 13 dollars for literally 2 bites. The chicken in bread bowl was so heavy :( Service was good though very quick too read more

This place was a huge disappointment and is WAY overpriced. I would not recommend ever going here which is sad cuz the food LOOKS pretty but it doesn't taste the way it looks. We had the pineapple coconut bread for app, which was the best thing we tried... this Brazilian shrimp taco thing (fried potato shell thing) that had pretty much no flavor.. this Indian dish that came on a giant piece of white bread .. this was our second favorite but not good enough I d come pay $18 for it or tell someone else to go try it.. finally the wings.. they look so pretty in all the picture but they wreak and taste like fish sauce. Pretty much inedible. I had a jalepeno cocktail.. it was so spicy my mouth was on fire, now i like spice, I smother every thing in hot sauce. For an average person, this drink is not drinkable. On top of everything else.. The service was poor! we had to ask for water refills, server was a buzz kill, rolled her eyes when we asked for extra ice For a cocktail, unenthusiastic and should not be in a customer interaction role.. way better tasting places with way better service in Seattle for that price. My friend and I stopped by for brunch (and bottomless mimosas) on an otherwise uneventful Saturday afternoon and this place exceeded our imagination. I had the Israeli Shakshuka and she had the Dutch pancakes with apples. The way that the flavors of the tomato stew- for lack of a better term, the green chutney, feta, sesame, and coriander garnish came together was impeccable. I would only ask to have the pita bread that this dish comes with to be warmed up a little extra as per my own preferences next time. My friend enjoyed her dish as well, mentioning that it was the perfect balance between sweet and savory. The bottomless mimosas were also pretty darn on point for $17. The service was also good even though there were a few times that we had to search around for someone despite the fact that there were only two other small tables being occupied. Our second server made up for this halfway through our meal with his prompt service though! We will definitely be back to try more dishes! read more

Mostly a great experience - a fun small plates style type of restaurant to try a mix of flavors and food. The cocktails are also quite good!

The food selection is just okay, the portions are quite small for what you pay, don't bother getting the side of rice, $2.5 for the smallest ball of rice I've seen. The food was too salty overall, especially the goat curry that I had, the cornbread that came with it was also too salty and not sweet like I expected. The ice cream options are limited, don't bother getting the french toast with bacon flavor, no one at my table liked it. The service could be better as well, our server forgot one of our dishes twice, so the appetizer came right before the dessert. read more

Bunny Chow and the Syrian salad -they were delicious! That was the best salad I've had in ages -the dressing was perfect in combination with the other ingredients. The bunny chow was a leftovers meal -and the leftovers were something to look forward to. This was a random choice when using Uber food delivery. My wife and I got a couple of cocktails and some food. We thought the drinks were really good. The food was also interesting and good - each item on the menu is from a completely different country. The restaurant is kinda small and so it's a bit cramped and it's also quite loud. The prices are a bit high - our bill was ~$100 for 2 people (2 drinks, 3 tapas, 1 dessert). read more

I had a fantastic experience overall. Food was delicious, and interesting. My husband and I even tried the water beetle, which actually tasted like a jolly rancher! It was quint and unpretentious. The drink menu was diverse, I had a sort of margarita type drink with jalapeños in it. The portions are huge, and everything sounds good. We had Chinese flavor inspired wings, ribs and a Brazilian chickpea cake filled with a shrimp concoction and could not finish it all. Fairly expensive meal, but worth it. read more

Like this place, but it's interesting that one of their dishes is called "Balut - Vietnamese Hot Vin Lon". Balut is the Filipino term (Balot in Malay), but no mention on their menu description of the Philippines. Just leave off Balut then and use the Vietnamese name, or just call it a Southeast Asian dish. read more

strange concept. street door from around the world. not so authentic way. i m japanese. I had japanese yakitori(chicken) why they put tonkatsu sauce and mayo on chicken???? taste like okonomiyaki. not bad, not bad. Just strange to me. They are not bar, more like restaurant. I wanted just beer after work, so I stopped by here. sat the tiny bar. No draft beer. and bartender keep asking me Do you want anything?. This place is interesting/unique...both the food and the vibe. (I think it was one of the owners (?) greeted me very warm and friendly but I notice this shirt was a bit dirty. Which I guess is not a huge deal when you are working in a restaurant-I'm sure he's there a bunch but needless to say I noticed it.) Food tasted good, portions just a bit small. This place is foodie heaven! Go with a group so you can order a number of dishes and share. We had the chicken heart popper, the grilled pig tails, East Indies Brussel Sprouts, Trinidadian Goat Curry, Rice Paper Salad, and Chengdu Spicy Jumbo Chicken Wings. My least favorite was the chicken hearts but that doesn't mean they were bad. It's just that everything was so good. The pig tails are total guilty pig fat pleasure. The goat curry was a green curry, delicious with tender pieces of goat, and the coconut corn bread that comes with it is amazing. I'm not usually a fan of chicken wings but these were great and the rice paper salad was like a party in my mouth with every bite. If I'm ever back in Seattle I will make a point to come back and see what's cooking at Nue. read more
