We scheduled to have open house on July 2, I have realized the swamp cooler didn't work and it was 2 days before the open house, I contacted few other A/C companies and see they could come in but couldn't find anyone. We had a gas leak in our furnace that was repaired by another company, not NUR. The 1st company fixed the leak quickly but charged more than expected, and then recommended that we have the furnace cleaned. They also asked for a pretty high rate for the cleaning, so I decided to take a look around. Most of the companies we talked to charged half of what our 1st company was asking for the cleaning, so it does pay to look around. However, I spoke with about 4 different companies and NUR was the only one that was able to communicate quickly and clearly about their services -- the front-office person actually talked to the technician to get complete and accurate answers to our initial questions about the cleaning, which nobody else did. I was even more impressed on the day of the visit -- the technician who came out, Islam, worked hard on cleaning the furnace and repaired wiring issues as well as calibrating the temperature of the furnace. He took pictures of his work and showed me his repairs as well as explained the details of what he did. You could tell he really cared about making things work correctly and identifying and fixing any outstanding problems. I am glad I called NUR and would do so again. read more

Honest, honest, honest!!! Would give 6 stars if I could. Had a plumbing leak from pipe in wall right next to my furnace. Had several licensed plumbers state in order to get to the pipe, the furnace had to be disassembled and then reassembled afterwards. So called several HVAC companies which quoted pricing from $2000-$3000 for the job, however, all stated because of the furnace age it might not work all that well upon reassembly. And, of course, they quoted pricing for a new furnace. When Nur came to my home the representative showed me a way to get to the leak without furnace disassembly and mentioned a resource to obtain more reasonable pricing for a plumber. And, most of all, he stated there was not any need for a new furnace as mine was functioning quite well. He could have lead me down the wrong path as did the other companies to make a sale, whether for disassembly or for a new furnace purchase. His honesty saved me thousands of dollars. I was impressed with their thorough inspection during their first visit, esp because I have had two more contractors come over and do a lot of "sales talk". Nur HVAC replaced my old gas furnace and replaced it with a Mitsubishi heat pump. They also redid my ducts. David initially came to my house to give me a quote, he offered me a ductless option which no other HVAC companies suggested, and was clearly experienced in HVAC installation, and gave me the best quote for top of the line equipment. Other HVAC companies sent salespeople, but David was technical and addressed my concerns and questions with great detail. The team that installed my new heat pump went above and beyond - they fixed some loose wiring in the crawlspace and adjusted the gas and exhaust lines for my water heater to save space. The installation was well done, the wiring and new lines they ran were clean and organized, they ensured that all the ducts were sealed and the airflow was balanced to all my rooms. My AC unit stopped working 2 months ago and I called several service companies for a quote. Nur offered a free appraisal and quote. I decided to go ahead with him and he was extremely professional, thorough and knowledgeable. He arrived exactly on time, wore mask and booties inside the house, showed me all the readings to educate me on where the problem was and fixed the issue within the time he estimated. Yesterday, during a record breaking heat wave, it felt like my AC unit stopped working again. I called Nur and he came down to inspect the unit, and showed me where PG&E had turned off my AC unit remotely.
