I am new to the Austin area and was trying to find somewhere to get my car serviced quickly. I haven't established a Toyota dealership here yet & was unsure where to go for an oil change and tire rotation. I was talking about this at a restaurant in line and a lady recommended I visit Fiat of Austin service department. She had recently bought a car there & said her service was unmatched. So- I decided I would try it out. Ending result: quick service, great attitudes, & very affordable. Plus, got to test drive a new fiat as I waited! Maybe that will be my next purchase... ?! My sales person was named Teofil and was full of valuable information about how the trade in process would work & even sent me home with numbers on what that would look like. This post is on behalf of my mom. She bought a Fiat from Fiat of Austin when they were still at the Domain location. Now before I say anything further, she loves her Fiat. She loves it so much she was thinking of buying another one but after the problems she has had with the service center, I don't think she'll be buying another one. The people at the service center have never had their act together either at the Chrysler dealership where it used to reside or at the new service center at their new dealership. She has been given the run around almost each time she takes the car in for service. This last time, her car died in her garage and she was told by the service center to call roadside assistance. They sent pop a lock who tried to charge her car battery with a dead battery charger and then when he realized he couldn't charge the battery, he even admitted he didn't know a thing about Fiats. Then, they sent a tow truck driver who warned my mom to call the service center because last time he took a car over there, they accused him of stealing it because they couldn't find it...they found it on their lot three DAYS later according to him. Even though the roadside service is separate from the service center, the center and the roadside service kept giving my mom conflicting information making this whole process a complete mess. They did fix her car but before they did and even when they knew her car was in tow...they would not give her a loaner car to help her get to work until her car arrived at the dealership. This is only one example of how terrible they are. They've even left a shop towel under the hood of her car! read more

I have a 2015 ABARTH sitting on my driveway in disrepair due to my warranty not being honored at FIAT of Austin.. I feel that I am being retaliated against by General Manager Lisa Copeland. At the end of my first encounter with the service department's Austin Morin, I ended up complaining to FIAT customer service about his abrasive and combative behavior while trying to have multiple defective parts evaluated and replaced. He blamed the wear on me before looking at the car. During my second interaction with Austin he acted spiteful toward me.  He denied my warranty work and claimed that I should not have involved FIAT Corporate. Lisa Copeland sent her concurrence via email simultaneously. When I questioned Austin further he became annoyed and told me to leave. I left and he followed me and became extremely aggressive toward me. I called APD because no customer deserves this abuse, and it seems that this is not the first time Austin has chosen to act inappropriately with a customer. Nonetheless Lisa stood by Austin's side and kicked me and my new FIAT to the curb. I think this speaks to Lisa Copeland blatant lack of integrity, ethics, and positive influence. read more

Yesterday I took my Fiat Vinny in for a oil change. When I left and stopped at the bank I notice a thump when I restarted Vinny. I contacted Austin and told him that I would be bring my car back and told him the problem. He offer to stop by to save me a trip back to Fiat. Unfortunately I didn't get back home until 9:45 pm and he still came by to look at my car. The positive thing is that we live in the same neighborhood. It was the cover over my engine that didn't snap on very well so it was a easy fix. Thank you Austin for going above and beyond to help Vinny and I out. read more

After purchasing our 2nd Fiat ( my husband decided to get the 4-door for him) I can say we are very pleased. Glad the dealership is on 183 now and they have their own service dept. Not excited about dealing with Maxwell dealership at all! We both love our cars, especially when we drive by the gas stations and see all the gas guzzlers having to fill up! Please...if you are thinking of getting a fiat, stop by the Fiat dealership on 183. Great salesmanship and customer service and no pushy sales either! I had a 2012 Fiat that had a couple of recalls where the car would not start. Upon my last visit I ended up trading in my 2012 for a brand new 2015 Fiat sport that I love! Riley in sales helped me throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to make sure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase. He worked with me for several hours thoroughly checking on the various options that were within my price range. Bret the General Manager helped get us an amazing deal on a brand new car to help out the situation! Nyle Maxwell stopped by while we were there and told us his mission was for us to leave completely satisfied! Austin in Service helped us look at options for newer cars that would be less likely to have the same problem I was experiencing & Craig in service was very helpful as well. The finance process was easy and simple thanks to C.Thomas and overall a bad day today turned around into a great one because of Fiat of Austin. I love my 2014 fiat 500l., I checked out several vehicles before choosing a fiat. I went to the dealership several times until I finally decided which one. They never pressured me and answered all my questions. Ami Groves was my saleslady. She was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. They didn't have the color I wanted and they did everything they could to find i, but there wasn't one so I chose another color with all the options i wanted. They had to have it delivered from somewhere else. They got it for me the next day. I have had it for 3 wks. now and really enjoying it. read more

These people are running a complete SCAM - so don't fall for it like we did. We received a flyer in the mail to scratch off and see if we won a prize. Grand prize was either a new Fiat or $25,000 in cash. Imagine our surprise when it appeared that we won! We called the number to "verify" our prize and was told over the phone - "You are a grand prize winner - come in". We read the fine print 3 times and while still skeptical, we hurried down to the dealership. When we arrived, we were told.. :oops, we didn't actually win, - we just won the right to ENTER the contest".. REALLY.. that's NOT what the ad said or the lady on the phone. Total deception and sleezey come on. Before we could see if we won (again), we were asked questions about what kind of car we had, what we were willing to spend, etc. Well, guess what...Oops.. we didn't actually win at all - geez what a surprise!! And you can guess what came next - NOW they want to sell us a car. We are going to buy a new car pretty soon, but even if I did want to buy a Fiat, I would not buy here. If they have no problem scamming you to come in to the dealership, then they probably would have no problem scamming you on a purchase. If you get this in the mail, throw it in the TRASH where it belongs. Disgusting way to deceive people. If Fiat is such a great car and they are such a great dealership, why do they need to resort to such back alley tactics to get people in. read more

I recently purchased a 2017 Fiat Spider Abarth and the purchase experience was great. I received a card to pick up my license plates at the dealer so I went to the dealership to pick up the plates. My salesperson (who was really great) advised me that I could purchase an aftermarket front license plate holder that would avoid having to drill holes into the bumper to mount the front plate. He advised me that Maxwell Fiat would install it "no problem." When I got to the dealership, I was advised by the sales staff that service would need to install it. I wanted to get an oil change anyway so that would be great. The service department charged me $65.00 plus shop charges to install the front license plate. Although it only took an hour and a half to have the oil changed and license plate put on, I really wasn't expecting to have to pay $147.27 for an oil change and license plate installation. read more

First off I would like to say that this review has nothing to do with the sales person that took care of my purchase he was the only good point about my experience with this car dealership. I purchased a 2016 Fiat 500 X which I love so it's not about the car either.. I purchased the car on 2/16/2016 drove it off the lot that night my husband wanted to check the car out and he walked around the car and found a nail in the tire - we were 2 blocks from the dealership, but since it was late we couldn't turn around... I opened up the extra key and found that there was a problem with that because I had the remote the key to get in the door was missing and yes I checked the whole envelope.. So the next morning I message my sales guy and he told me to contact his manager in which I did and was given a loaner car which was his demo, I felt uncomfortable with driving it because it still had his personal belongings in the car but didn't want to drive around with a nail in my tire from a car I purchased and haven't had for 24 hours... So I hear ok here is the loaner car oh we don't have the tire in stock so we have to order it! Please keep in mind I'm at a Fiat dealership that I'm supposed to be able to bring my car into get it serviced but they don't have the tire in stock! And then I'm told they have to order my key so I have to leave my extra remote at the dealership and wait for the key which I have no problem with waiting but when you're not being informed on when you're going to receive it back that is what concerns me! And then there's the paperwork that you sign before you drive off the lot with the car I had a cosigner that had to sign off on the paperwork to, which I understand they had to mail it to my cosigner in which that was received OK and my cosigner sent it back to the dealership and that was received OK . Here's the problem instead of calling me and telling me hey your paperwork is ready for you to pick up the lady that completed my paperwork dropped it in the mail sending it USPS. Yes I know the mail is slow but I should have received it by now and I haven't.. So I get told when I called the dealership oh just wait a couple more days and you should have and yet I still have nothing! So I emailed Lisa Copeland, in which I have to say Thank You to because that was the fastest response that I've ever received from your dealership! I was told that I could come and pick up my paperwork the next day and I would be called or text when it was ready to be picked up! I'm like somethings finally going right since I purchased this car in all I need now is an extra key which as of this afternoon around 6ish. I still haven't received so by 5:30 PM I haven't heard from the dealership so I called and I was told that I was sent a text message saying that my paperwork was ready and she goes I sent the first text message And received a response saying it was someone named Linda needless to say my name is not Linda and I never received anything from the dealership stating it was ready for me to be picked up I get to the dealership they hand me my paperwork and I missing the odometer reading for both the car he purchased and the car I traded in.. When I asked for them I was told I didn't need them when I explained why I need them it was almost like it was a big deal for me to receive that paperwork please keep in mind they lost the original paperwork because she try to make it sound like it was a joke and saying she could've wrote down the address wrong. Please keep in mind I'm still bothered by the fact they lost the original paperwork and that I was told that the information on the paperwork is just like the information on my drivers license that anyone could get it but it's still my personal information along with my cosigners. And it's being blown off by saying oh it's not much personal information, WTH? Right now I wished I would've never step foot in your dealership and I could get the car I traded in back this though I love the car has been the biggest mistake I've made as far as the car purchase. I have never been so disappointed in the way this dealership has handled this whole transaction in the wow experience that they speak of on their door, Has been nonexistent since the experience with the actual car salesman. So as far as this review goes I will be contacting Nyle Maxwell in the morning along with Lisa Copeland yet again. I had scheduled many appt. To see multiple cars in Killeen. (Approx 50 mile drive). Well weather turned cold and wet and me and the wife decided to stay in town and visit fiat of Austin. Little did I know this would be one of the greatest decisions of my life. We arrived and was instantly greeted by a well dressed sales man and asked me how I was doing. At this point I was pretty frustrated with an experience at covert ford which was the worst ever. Anyways Lauren B. had texted me and gave me examples of what to expect on site, And upon arrival immediately started test driving cars. We honestly had no intention of buying a car. Lauren B. immediately started asking great questions to see what we were looking for even though we had no idea what we wanted. After seeing roughly 8 cars and test driving three My wife became dead set on a Ford Explorer which was not the vehicle we originally planned on buying, but due to Lauren's questions she knew it was the car for us before we did. Lauren B. worked with us and the her sales manager for over 4 hours to get this car in our budget. Interest rate, final sale price, term of loan, and monthly payment were all completely disclosed during the whole process as we negotiated. At no point did I ever feel pressured and the process was completely transparent. Long story short we drove this vehicle off the lot and I'm now living in a world of happy wife happy life, not to mention happy me due to staying in budget. I would recommend anyone who reads this to ask for Lauren B. She goes above and beyond her calling to make buying a car a joyful experience. Job well done Lauren and I wish the best in your future endeavors at fiat of Austin. I bought a yellow fiat 500 pop thinking that since it was a new car that it would be reliable. Fiat of Austin said that they could beat the price on the same car that was offered to me by the fiat dealership in the Woodlands, Texas. They gave me a cheaper price but took away all the options that i had selected with the Woodlands Dealership. They screwed me over, because it was not the same car and they refused to add the options that were with the car that i was quoted. I wanted to get out of the deal but i had already signed the paperwork because the sales guy said that it was the exact same car for less. I have now had the Fiat for 36,000 miles and the clutch went out. This is the third repair that i have had to make in the first year of owning the car. I had the car towed from Houston to Austin because i believed that the 50,000 mile warranty would make it right. They said that they needed to remove the engine to see what was wrong with the car. They blackmailed me into having the clutch repaired at the dealership for $1,389 because they would not let me take it somewhere else because they had already removed the engine. I should have just let the shitty car go to repo. Now i am paying the note on a car stuck at the dealership because they wont release my car until the repair is paid in full. Fiats are so cheap so they can gouge the owners on the repairs. read more

Service department unorganized and poor communication and customer service. Bought a new 2014 Fiat Sept 1 and have had problems with the TPMS sensor and module already. Also, a tapping sound that the service people cannot hear/diagnose. Was back there today and waited 3 hours and the TPMS module was replaced, but my car was just sitting in the garage after 3 hours and they had not even checked it for sound problem. I was furious and left. Kerry lacks communication and customer service skills for someone who runs the show there. Also, the lady out there should not be wearing flip flops. Pretty sure that's an OSHA violation. Doubt I will go back there and wish I had bought a Mazda or Honda instead. It won't matter when your "millon dollar service department" is finished or not, if you do not have qualified leaders in your service department, you will continue to get poor ratings. Fiat, you better get your act together or you will lose more customers. A gentleman asked me today how I liked my Fiat and I told him about my experience. He said he'd look at Volkswagens instead. Word of mouth will cost you business. I will write a detailed letter to Ms. Copeland and Mr. Maxwell to let them know specifics of my unfortunate experience with Fiat of Austin. read more

NEVER and I mean NEVER go to Fiat of Austin for a anything! They were nice when selling me my car, it had one slight glitch in it which I was told had happened when someone else had test drove but that it would be fixed and ready to go in a few days. Weeks later they told me it wasn't going to be ready by the date given and they didn't know when it would be Rdy. I was still polite but frustrated. They called me saying it was ready I come to pick it up and it has scratches all over the grill the bumper had been pushed back and dents in the head lights as if when getting taken to get repaired it had hit something. I took pix immediately in front of one of their sales reps and since that was my only transportation took it and said I'll come back to have it taken care of. The lady who sold me the car was very rude and frustrated with my concerns about the car, they had lied telling me it was at a certain reputable dealership getting fixed and I called that place and they said it wasn't there, I confronted fiat about this lie and they gave a shady excuse and split hairs. They finally said they would fix it at the right place so I took it in 4 weeks after getting it fixed (this is about two months now after purchasing my car and I've still not been able to take it home) I go to pick it up and instead of fixing the grill and all that they have dipped it in the same color as the cat instead of the normal chrome it was when I bought it. I called to talk to the woman who sold it to me when she gave me attitude and blamed it on me I went above her to the used car sales manager who had left the company so I talked to his replacement who yelled at me, said that it was the cheapest way to fix the grill. I explained they did not alert me to that cosmetic change and didn't have the authority to change something like that, that I didn't authorize. He got irate threatened me, and said he will fix the grill but nothing else and I've still not had anything fixed including the grill. This place is so sketchy and I cannot believe they can legally do this. read more
