STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE!!! I purchased a 2023 vehicle from this dealership for $17,500. The car seemed fine, and I thought I was getting a decent deal. That turned out to be a huge mistake. Less than a month later, the vehicle broke down and was leaking oil everywhere. I had it towed back to their service department, where I was told the high-pressure fuel pump had failed and that my warranty would cover the repair. A week later, the story changed. Now they claimed a bolt holding the fuel pump in place was broken and that they would need to lower the engine to remove it. Conveniently, that repair was not covered under warranty. When I questioned whether the bolt could have been broken during their own repair attempt, I was basically told to "take their word for it" that they didn't do it. They had no proof whatsoever. In the end, I was forced to pay another $3,300 out of pocket for what they called a "discounted" labor charge. After another week, they called and said the vehicle was ready. I picked it up and drove away. Less than five miles later, the check engine light came on. I immediately brought it back. Now, suddenly, I'm being told I need a catalytic converter and another $1,800 repair that also isn't covered. Funny how there were no catalytic converter codes, no check engine lights, and no issues before they had possession of the vehicle for weeks. But somehow, after thousands of dollars in repairs and less than five miles of driving, a completely different major repair is now needed. What makes it even worse is that throughout this entire process, I was repeatedly reminded that if I had purchased the extended warranty they were trying to sell me, I wouldn't have had to pay these costs. It felt less like customer service and more like a sales pitch after the fact. This dealership is great at selling cars. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ends. The service department has been the most frustrating, expensive, and disappointing experience I've ever had with a vehicle purchase. Thousands of dollars later, I still don't have confidence in the car, and all I seem to get in return is another repair bill and an apology for the inconvenience. read more

They let you schedule an oil change online, but if you show up they tell you the "online scheduling is just to let them know your coming" and it's first come first serve. Wait time of "at least 2 hours". It does not state this on the website anywhere, let alone during the scheduling flow. Thank god they sent me a text reminder to be on time for my oil change... I also emailed them to inquire about it, maybe make sure others don't run into the same issue as me, and after a response from someone who clearly didn't read my initial email per the tangentially related generic response. Call here call there. I have tried to call the finance dept but no one will answer the phone . I have the Gap insurance now their telling me that if money is owed it would from the dealership. Do NOT ever bring your vehicle here for repairs. I dropped my Jeep off over Memorial Day 2025 weekend for a few easy recall repairs. When I picked it up a few days later, it had been broken into. Damage to the vehicle locking console as well as valuable items stolen. After some research and discussion with the service team members, break-ins at this location are a common occurrence. They are aware it happens every weekend yet continue to do nothing about it. And when I tried to go through the proper channels to get reimbursed, they basically told me they aren't responsible and it'd be on my to pay for the repairs and stolen items. Brent Rayfield, the General Manager, and Luis Villafane, the Service Shop Manager, are completely inept. They avoid calls and emails, and even tried to tell me I was lying when I said I was going to file police reports and reach out to local news outlets (two stations have informed me they are picking up the story, too, since it's a recurring issue). Never take your vehicle here for repairs. It won't be safe. I got my Jeep back in worse shape than when I dropped it off. Completely unacceptable. read more

I took my vehicle in because my gas gauge was fluctuating, and my gas light kept coming on. They did a Diagnostic test and said it would be there 24-48 for that test. They called and said it was my fuel pump which was just out of warranty. I could not afford their fees so took to my son in laws mechanics shop where they replaced it for half the price. After replacing it, it still had the same problem. So, Maxwell did not diagnose it correctly. I will not take it back there because now I do not trust them. Now I still have to pay for another diagnostic test. Even if they want me to take back there for another test, I don't trust them since it wasn't diagnosed right the first time. read more

I bought a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee this month at Nyle Maxwell and worked with Jeffrey and the manager Raul. Overall, customer service was good and management worked with us to resolve multiple issues. I came in because I saw multiple grand Cherokees that I liked online that showed as available. When I got to the lot, none were still in stock. Over two weeks later they are still listed.. this seems like a sales tactic and was frustratingly misleading. The Jeep that we purchased had lots of dents and scratches. We ended up being able to negotiate for the repairs to be taken care of by the dealership and to pick it up once repaired. The biggest frustration with working with this team was a lack of communication once we left the dealership and were awaiting the car, which took almost 2 weeks. Pros: Jeffrey is not a pushy salesman and gives you space to look and decide if the vehicle meets your needs, there was a lot of teamwork among the sales team and management, Bob with finance is great, I was provided a temporary car to drive when my jeeps repairs were delayed and they even delivered it to me since I didn't have a ride Cons: frustrating to have to call multiple times for updates, some of the scratches we negotiated to have taken out weren't, Trailhawk sticker was taken off in order to replace the bumper but I wasn't told before and will cost $200 to replace+ labor to have put on, car was dirty and not detailed when I picked up (which was explained as being due to the work done).. was told I would receive a check in the mail to pay to detail it but haven't received anything. read more

10/1/2022 I purchased A new Jeep Wrangler. As the Sales Person and I were on the test drive, I had ask him if It the was the 3.6 engine , And he stated the It Was. We continued with the purchase. Everything went well. The next Day I was digging through the papers and noticed that it was Written in small print that it was a 2.0 engine.. So on 10/3/2022 I call them back to tell the sales person that he made a mistake. His reply was that they had made a mistake. he got his manager to call me back and begin to tell me that We could upgrade to a 3.6 for a larger price. When it comes to service, I would never come to this place again. I gave them a year and that was too much time. Every time I needed service they would order the part and tell me that it took a day or two. I wouldn't hear from them for six weeks. I've been a long time customer of their service department. They've done good work at reasonable prices. However, they treat Covid like it's a joke. There's a sign up in their service department that says masks are required, but most of the employees I saw weren't following those instructions. One walked into the area and just covered his mouth with a hand. A young woman was wearing hers on her chin, mouth and nose exposes, talking loudly. Most of the service department men had their noses exposed. You could tell they just didn't give a crap and were making no effort to protect everyone's health. read more

This car dealer is the worst ever. They upsale extended warranties on their used cars that aren't worth the paper they are printed on and even their warranties on their new cars are not honored. During the car buying process they corner you with on-site insurance salesman and a "window tint" guy (in our case the windows were already as dark as is legally allowed, yet they still wanted to sell us more window tinting). Everyone here is rude, callous, and uncaring...before AND after a sale has transpired. The fact that they do not respond to any of the negative reviews here in Yelp is (and this is the case, I think, with any business that does not) a clear indicator that they couldn't care less what your experience is with them or how you feel about things. P.S. Their "certified mechanics" didn't even know what level to fill up the oil on a car we brought in there once. read more

Overall my experience was pretty good. The sales rep and finance guy were great and very helpful. The two stars is for the lack of customer service. I bought the car and I didn't notice that the antenna on top of the car was lose causing the internal compass to read incorrectly. I sent a message about a week after purchasing it when I noticed it. I was told there was nothing that could be done for me. I told them they sold it to me that way and again I got the "nothing can be done for you". Suggestion for future car buyers, get a third party to inspect the car before you buy it. Juan was our sales person and had no problems test driving the few cars she had picked out. Met Joey the GM and was extremely helpful after we decided to move forward purchasing a vehicle. I felt the final price met our expectations and got a really great deal on our trade in. Michael was our finance person and got the paperwork done quickly. Overall we had a great buying experience from Juan in sales to Joey the GM and Michael in finance. We plan on shopping here again when our next kid starts driving. read more

I had my truck serviced for a recall, I received a text from Nyle maxwell as if I would like to know what my truck was worth, I replied Sure. I received a reply back on what they valued my truck. it was not enough for me to worry about so i ignored the text. couple days later I received a phone call asking why I had not responded. I told him it was not worth my time. HE said that he could come up but needed to have my truck test driven. I said ok. we set up a time and I went. One of the people from the dealer wanted my key to go get some info from my truck. He moved it up to the building. came in looking for my payoff amounts and said that someone was going out to appraise my truck. He gathered more information from me and asked what I wanted for the truck. I told him that it was his company that called me and that I loved my truck explained all of extras that came with my truck, told him that he was going to have a hard time selling me for anything less than the equipment on my truck. they came back with the original offer, I said no thank you and please get my key so that I could head home. I got in the seat was moved up which is no problem since I have the seat programmed into memory. The issue is when I went to put my cell phone in the charger. My phone mount was hanging loose. I adjusted it into the correct position and left. On the way home my cell phone fell over, I attempted to verify that I had everything tight. That is when I noticed the munt was cracked. I attempted to call the dealership from the number that called me. I asked for Thom Eager and was told that he had left for that day. I told the you lady what I needed and she forwarded me to someone that indicated that I called the wrong dealership. Gave me the number to the supercenter said GM was over both. I left a message for GM. The same dealership that does not seem to like to check voice mail! let's see what happens. At the same time I am texting back the number that contacted me about buying my truck. They of course deny any wrong doing and said that only one person drove my truck. You are trash! Not even after purchasing a car on June 15, 2023 the car has electrical issues and yall want fix it. We purchased extended warranty that don't cover electrical work. We are not responsible to fix this car when it's not even 90 days. This 2020 Ford Escape stopped on my daughter while driving on IH 35 in Austin traffic. If I had not been behind her, she would have gotten hit. My daughter is a single Mom of 4. The youngest 2 children can't get to school because there is no bus running in Georgetown. She has a sick son just diagnosed with Amyloidosis and he has to see the Dr at Dell Children hospital. Her oldest is very active in sports and not to add me her Mom has alot of medical issues in which she does see about me. After getting this car home ,she called Josh the salesperson, that I was not happy with, to tell him that the radio did not work and the car was jerking. I.told her that it was just the automatic stop when you come to a stop that was a gas saver, but she was right. There is something wrong with this car. She has sent numerous texts and I have called several times and got nothing but lies. This is how you treat your customers? Or is it a Black thang? Just treat a single Mom that's works more than 40 hours a week and raising her children with the up most qualities, providing a safe and secure lifestyle for them and her? All we ask is for Nyle Maxwell to fix this car. And they don't want to be responsible. I wanted to write and provide feedback from our recent visit to the service center. To say that our visit wasn't off to a good start is putting it mildly. Our car was rear ended in the service driveway by the gentleman taking our Jeep to the back. To this day we never received an I'm sorry or any form of acknowledgement. I'm pretty sure if I didn't see it happen in front of me, they would have never mentioned it. I was in business attire and had to remove our 3 car seats in 100+ heat alone without the assistance of the numerous staff members who saw me struggling. It was a fellow customer who assisted me after seeing me have a hard time. I know we all get busy from time to time but on the heals of getting our car hit, this was the service she received. Now the positive. The only positive in our visit and all the ones before is our Service Advisor Alan. He is the ONLY reason we come back to Nyle Maxwell for service. He is through, kind and very knowledgeable. He never seems to take our business or anyone else's for granted. He does the little things that mean a lot. Greats you with a firm handshake and a smile. He remembers you when you walk in the door and above all, we can trust his recommendations. Dropped my truck of on the 18th of October for service light on, didn't look at the truck until 28th. I called daily due to no one giving me info on the issue. finally I was told that that they are going to replace the whole transmission, I was texted at 17th of October @ 1634 that the truck was ready for pick up. So I had to scramble return the rental I had to find due to the service folks telling me its my issue. Returned the truck on the 22 on a flat bed because the transmission went out completely on that Sunday morning on I35 and still don't have a truck or a date to when I'm going to get it back. We bought an Equinox from here. Before we made our first payment, we had to take it back because of engine issues. They did some tests and said it was fine. Well, it wasn't. There was an engine issue (blown motor) and it caused another issue. They "fixed" the first issue, but wouldn't the second issue. They said it wasn't covered on the warranty, but if they would have fixed the initial problem when we first reported a problem, then the second problem wouldn't have occurred. We tried to work with them on getting a new car, but they wouldn't work with us. So now we are now paying for a car that is junk, until it is paid low enough to be able to afford a new car. I went to purchase a 1500 Tradesman Classic. Warren was the sales rep and was cordial. Immediately let us test drive and asked about our trade in. My trade in is a older vehicle and the online value on their website quoted $1800-$3800 (good for 7 days). I went in one day after I got the quote. When they learned I was going to pay cash for the vehicle everything changed. Warren asked me if I was sure I didn't want to finance. He brought the offer back and "Mr. B" (that was the name on his name tag) came back with him. Warren showed me the numbers. They quoted $1000 for my trade in. Mr. B said, I needed to sell my car myself if I wanted more than that. He also informed me since I was going to pay cash they would not honor the price on the website ($24,922), they raised it $1000. read more

I know enough about general maintenance and upkeep but when it comes to potential major issues I'm not a mechanic or car expert by any means. And being a woman on top of that and having heard horror stories from friends and families of experiences they have had being taken advantage of purchasing used cars I wanted to go to a reputable dealer. I purchased a used vehicle from Nyle Maxwell, what I thought was a reputable dealership. I had previously purchased a used vehicle from them years prior and it had been a plesant experience so I returned to buy my next family car. Purchasing a used vehicle I knew that there would maintenance and upkeep required. When I purchased the vehicle from day 1 the low tire light was on and there was an intermittent squeek. I brought it back right away for the light, took time off work to do so and was told it was fixed. Sure enough the light went off but came right back on after a day or so. I didn't have time to take it in a second time in a week so I called my mechanic since the tire pressure was still good and he said with it being an older vehicle it could very likely be the sensor is out so just keep a close watch on the tire pressure. Fast forward to several months later. The light is of course still on but that intermittent squeek started to get worse. Then it turned into a constant squeek. I took into my mechanic thinking maybe it was the brakes and was told the brakes are good but that the axle was bent and that it looked like some of the parts had been replaced as they were not original. My mechanic also provided a video of both the bent side and the non-bent side to show the difference. I have not been in any accidents or hit/run over anything since I purchased this vehicle. I was not informed by Nyle Maxwell of any previous damage or accidents. And this was not the type of bent axle that caused the vehicle to ride rough so I would not have known there was an issue. The squeek was present upon purchase...so wanting to give Nyle Maxwell the benefit of the doubt and again thinking that maybe this was just an honest mistake I tried to contact the used car division. I waited a couple weeks to give them time but no reply. Then I contacted anyone with an email address at Nyle Maxwell in the service/used car division (sent emails to 4-5 different people) got 1 reply who asked for more info. I replied weeks ago and have yet to hear back from him despite trying to follow up with him. This has been going on for months now. In the mean time I'm a single parent. The squeek is getting worse. I'm told the cost to repair my "new car" is going to be $2k!!! I depend on this car for work, to get the kids to and from school, sports, band events and now I don't know how long I can depend on this vehicle that I just purchased. I saved up and spent a lot of money to buy this car for my family. So to find out I was sold a vehicle with MAJOR damage and then have this "reputable" dealership shrug me off and not take ownership of their mistake is hugely concerning. If they knew about the damage and didn't disclose then that shows they are a dishonest dealership trying to take advantage of people such as myself that would not know better. If they didn't know of the damage then their research of the cars they sell and used car certification process missed a huge and a potential safety hazard with mine. read more

I had purchased a used vehicle not even 2 weeks ago, when the brakes needed to be replaced and there was a wiring issue in the back where the backup lights would come on and had replaced the blinker bulb since it had gone out. The blinker bulb went out after replacement and asked them to look at that issue already. Here was the Manager response from Tony. Well, see some scratches on the vehicle and maybe you had done this, (how he thinks a dent on the vehicle could affect the electrical system is beyond me) Next, brakes are a wear and tear item. They passed inspection before and you purchased AS-IS, so sorry. (Even though I owned less than 2 weeks ago) It seemed they didn't want to do anything to assist me and I have purchased vehicles from their new dept in the past. The manager Tony, young guy, didn't care that I just purchased the vehicle and said more than once that it was AS IS. Obviously, Nyle Maxwell has made their choice on customer service and this will be the last time I purchase from them. read more

Horrible service. I called to schedule an appointment to take my truck in to service. The only calls I got were someone trying to sell me a car. After weeks of calling I finally took it in and the guy was not very interested in my concerns with my truck. He said he would give me a call to schedule it and over a week later....no call. I took my truck into another place for them to look at it and the guy said he used to work at this Nyle Maxwell but quit after a month because no one cared and the technicians cut corners. He said it was hard to do his job when no one cared. I've taken my truck into this location before and they were decent the first time but all the times after that they get worse and worse.
