This O'Reilly is rough and maybe I am old fashioned but the staff were cursing aloud as if no one was there. Who was the manager on duty not to hear this? They were talking about Pokémon stuff even...Look ai am ok with cursing but. It in front of customers. The next thing was that everything looked empty...Re-stock instead of talking about Pokémon maybe? It was a totally unprofessional atmosphere and the manager should either be questioned as to why the staff were talking in such a manner as if no customers were there. Upon entering store, i found the aisle hosting the power steering fluid (17.99). i needed by referring to the aisle markers *a fam vehicle has recently needed lots of fluid, a oil spot in driveway indicates leakage. 2 associates busy stocking shelves when i entered. One acknowledged me quickly. Coincidentally in same aisle as the power steering fluid. Found same by checking pic on my iPhone. Associate rang me up. In & out within 5 minutes. Yes, yes and yes! Excellent customer service with knowledge and professionalism. I called about my Tesla windshield wiper that flew off on 680 heading to work in the rainy traffic. The gentleman working told me to come by and he would help me. I arrived and he greeted me, grabbed the blades and then put them on for me. Honest Review: John the Salesman/Cashier was super cool and helpful in locating the product I needed so that I can change my own engine air filter for my sedan. I had 3x different brands that would fit my vehicle where John was able to help me better distinguish then offer a recommendation (I only did a little research the night before lol) on the following: 1. MicroGard (Low-Mid Tier) $18 (lots in stock) - Standard if you plan on changing every 5K miles then you save $5 a pop each time. ***Fun Fact: WIX also makes MicroGard products so essentially you are paying a bit less for almost the same product but different quality. 2. WIX (Mid Tier) $23 (ONLY ONE in stock) - Standard Advance if you plan on changing every 10K miles to match your oil/filter change (this makes it easier so that you can replace the cabin air filter as well; you can save well over $150 for your sedan doing it yourself for no more than 15mins after getting the parts instead of having it be done at the local dealership). 3. K&N (High Tier) $65 (NOT in stock; online order for free pickup in-store) - Advanced 15K+ miles if you plan to do maintenance yourself since it is washable and reusable for as long as you are able to keep it clean (I'd rather get a new one after reaching a certain point beyond since I have OCD lol). So I eventually went with WIX since highly recommended by John, the most costly one was not available only through online order for free pickup in-store in 1-2days which I opted out on. I needed one in stock immediately since I had a recent full synthetic oil/filter change so that I can go about another 10K miles without worrying. Lastly, the coolest thing I noticed when replacing the engine air filter was that the WIX product looked and felt the same as the genuine part I had taken out. The WIX engine air filter was a perfect fit (nice and secure flush mounted inside) and now my sedan is running even more smoothly than before with more power and fuel efficiency! As a female, I really appreciated the service and help I got from Scott, "Scottie" the Manager. Had to get some wiper blades replaced that were in bad shape. He installed for me. Also, checked if rear needed it, but it did not. Glad he didn't tell me otherwise. I had an issue with my battery and wasn't sure if I needed a new one since the car wouldn't start multiple times in one week. He tested it and said it was fine. When he looked it over, he said it was probably just the corrosion where the cables connect and suggested a simple cleaning method with baking soda and water. I found him to be extremely helpful and genuine. While he was outside helping me, he noticed a customer walking in the store and since he was the only one there at the time, he paused for a moment and lmk he just wanted to check on the customer inside and would be right back. He was also greeting another gentleman outside the store that he clearly knew and was the same way helpful letting him know if he needed anything to let him know. Thank you, Scott! Outstanding customer service!! Can't say the same about the business next door, but Scotty and Antonio at O'Reilly are absolutely the best. Needed a rear window wiper for my RAV4, and Antonio found it and put it on for me. I also had a new bulb for my rear brake light, but I couldn't put it in myself. Scotty was able to put the light in for me so I won't get a fixit ticket. Such a relief! Seriously, it's really hard to find good customer service when you just need a little help, and that can be so discouraging. "Clean Store, Friendly Staff, Free battery Installation" Over the years, this business has changed ownership several times. Many years ago it was Grand Auto, and then I think it was Kragen Auto Parts for a while. They used to own the Wheel Works store next door, but now that is an independent business. I needed some motor oil today, and of course they have a gigantic selection. I came here because Target did not have motor oil, if you can believe that. I had a chance to talk to the manager, and I was impressed with how clean he is keeping the store. It is well organized and spic and span. He obviously takes pride in the appearance of his business. He also explained that they offer some special services. For example if you buy a battery here they will install it for free! Same thing for wiper blades and most light bulbs. I'm almost hoping for a battery failure, so I can try out their free installation. Maybe some of my Yelp friends could have a battery failure and let me know how it works. If your battery fails, please message me, so I can film the install. The parking lot is small and can be awkward at times to get around. The parking lot is shared with the Wheel Works store as well as the small car wash next door. There is a funny place on the sidewalk where a tree trunk has crazily pushed up the sidewalk. Be careful to not trip. So all around a very good visit. Next time I need a battery I'm coming here to get the free install. read more

Great service from the staff here. Was just here to have my battery replaced. About 7:30pm. Very good people. Came here straight after work to do a battery testing and as I thought I have a bad battery. The technician Scotty helped me select a battery for my car and also helped me changed the battery because I don't have the proper tools to do it myself and I just basically wanted to do a battery testing but thought why not just get a new battery since here already. Scotty helped me changed the battery and even gave me advice about how to clean it due to corrosion and battery acid build up. Great service and he's a good man. Solid service. I had been working on an strange fastening arrangement for about 25 minutes, getting frustrated. Jess was so helpful, and he knew the problem that I was facing, and a hack to free my battery. Detailed version: Was driving down solo from LA to San Fransisco for my birthday weekend, having battery problems. Was in the middle of 'nowhere' [prob two hours north of LA] at a gas station, turned the car off to get gas and a burrito.... but lo and behold, my 2015 Toyota Corolla wouldn't start!! A Dead BATTERY!! The girl was nice enough to jump start it for me with her cables [sweet girl], so she highly recommended not to turn it off until I checked out my battery etc. So I called a good friend up who recommended I go to this O'Reilly's on the way to SF. Glad I did!! Had a very warm welcome by Artik [think he's the manager], who referred me on to Jatario. Both of these guys were cool cats. Jatario immediately took me to the battery section, but before we got carried away he took me outside to test the battery. Sure enough, "Bad Battery" lol was the error message. So he took me through the options, all the while putting my mind to rest that it's an easy problem and he would install it for me....chatting the whole time about where I'm from etc etc. Great guy. 10 mins or so later [maybe less] I'm shaking his hand and driving off with my new battery.... even got the warranty version with a 3 year guarantee. Our van battery was low the night before our trip to LA. An overnight charge still left it barely turning the engine over. I got it started, drove to Regional and found I had forgotten my mask. Rather then drive home, I called the Curbside Service Number, Kaylah answered, she looked up my car information and brought out a new battery, then loaned me a jump starter to restart the van getting me on my way. I came here after I jumped my car so that I could get it diagnosed. The lady behind the counter didn't seem too enthusiastic to do the diagnosis but she did get the reader out. The reader inconclusive, but she did say that the battery terminals may be corroded since there was some sparking action going on when she connected her tool. I had a wire brush in the car so I cleaned up the negative terminal, and sha bam, it worked. I'm not sure if she would have been that helpful to me though if my car wouldn't start at all. So though the recommendation was more of a guess, it was correct, so I will give this Kragen 3 stars for getting it right. read more

This is my go-to store for all things car related! The staff there is always VERY helpful, and each one of them can offer a good solution to almost any automotive problem. I want to give a special shout out to Steve for helping me today. He overheard me tell his colleague that I was hunting for a 6mm socket to replace one that had gone missing in my set. Steve knew they had these in the store, but I had failed to find one; he quickly provided me one which just made my day. Every time I go in, one of the staff manages to find a way to help me- whether it's an oxidized headlight cover, a failed battery, or a windshield wiper blade that even the dealer couldn't identify. I've been to this O'Reilly's a few times. I've never been terribly impressed by the service, but it's close to my house and they've been ok. Today I needed to return an uninstalled battery. One of the counter guy was smoking outside the door. When he saw me lug the battery out of my trunk, he asked me if I would mind returning it to the store on the other side of town as their "system" was down. I put the battery back in my trunk, drove across town only to find that this store routinely asks customers to return items to the other store. Not cool. I won't be shopping here again! read more

I should have avoided Auto Zone in Pleasanton. They are just plain rude. I needed a replacement battery and was yelled at. So I took my business to O'Reillly's and Anna May was very courteous. She recognized that I was holding the battery as I got in line. Even though she was with another customer, she motioned over to me to place the counter and she would be right with me as she was completing a transaction. I was buying parts for my motorcycle paid and was exiting in the store when I saw some floor mats on sell and decided that I would get a set for my truck. I was asking if there's an updated book to see if they would fit my vehicle because I didn't go up to that year. I'd mention that I didn't like how they fit in my wife's car but I'd give it a shot in my own. The clerk then proceeded to tell me that I could not take the floor mats out of another car and put them in the box and return them. I asked if she was serious and why did you ask that question and if you ask it to every customer. She then handed me my receipt and didn't say anything else. One of the larger O'Reillys in the area. Solid place to go if you need something in a rush. The staff here has always been helpful and friendly. On super busy days the parking lot can be difficult to work with. This location also has a few service bays but I've never used them so can't speak to that. read more
