They were very nice when I called back for directions because I was lost. When I got there it was a small place and they guy I talked to was very nice. He came looked at my car and said he didn't have it but would order it and give me a call tomorrow to follow up on how long till it came in. Two days later I realized I didn't hear from him. I called in and he said, "oh yeah. It'll be in I'll give you a call once it gets here." I followed up again a few days later and they still didn't have it. If it would've taken this long I would've gone to Auto Zone. It's been months now and they've never called me. Every time I had to call to follow up with them. The guy was really nice the place looked legit and I really wanted to like this place but their customer service outside of directly was horrible.

The funny thing is, the customer service here is absolutely genuine. I took my CX-5 in for its first service and was greeted by my service advisor, Heather. She was super cheery and personable--she made conversation and immediately gave friend vibes. She's clearly been in the business for a while because she was confident, knowledgeable, and never once felt salesy. When my car was done, I went on my merry way. I got home and parked in the driveway like normal. I didn't leave again until just after 6 p.m. when I noticed an oil spot underneath my car. Obviously alarmed, I called the dealership knowing service had literally closed two minutes earlier. Someone in sales answered, listened to what happened, and actually walked over to the service department to see who was still there. That's how I got connected with Damon. Who, spoiler, is the service manager, yet never once took that credit. He just jumped in and handled business. Damon immediately apologized and had me set up with a loaner car. I'm not exaggerating--it coordinated everything in about 15 minutes. I drove my car down, picked up the loaner, and went back home. Seamless. Now, it was my decision to drive the car in, I didn't feel the leak was so bad it was inoperable to drive. Damon offered to have the car picked up and brought in, I declined. Heather called me first thing the next morning to apologize again and let me know they were sending someone out to clean the oil off my driveway. I'm sorry... what?! Who does that?! Dublin Mazda, that's who. After a thorough inspection (and cleaning because there was oil everywhere), they found the culprit: a faulty oil filter. And even if it had ended up being due to mechanic error, oh well, things happen. Heather then went out of her way to get me reunited with my car, even offering to deliver it to me. The entire service department went above and beyond. None of it felt forced or like they were just checking boxes. They handled everything graciously because they genuinely care. As someone who's been on both sides of the counter--having worked at a dealership for years and, more recently, having spent way too much time dealing with a GMC lemon--I can honestly say I've never experienced this level of customer service. I'm happy to wait 10 minutes for someone who can. I am not terribly upset the car I want to test drive is unavailable. It would have been nice to drive it. Or even see it. But no one bothered to show me the car. Or any car. What I am upset is that you saw I was wearing a wedding ring and asked me if all my decision makers are here. Like I need my husband's permission to buy a car (I managed to buy the last 2 without help). I doubt you would have asked my husband that if he was at the dealership. Instead I finally talked to a woman (my service advisor) who finally cared enough to grab keys to show me the inside of a car because the men just chose to dismiss me. It wasn't even her job guys! While Daniel was polite, the aggressive upselling made me put my guard up. I left my car on Friday morning, and though the mechanic sent a video pointing out other issues, he couldn't identify the source of the ticking. After playing phone tag, Daniel informed me on Monday that it would cost an additional $450 just to "explore" the cause of the noise--and that fee would not go toward the actual repair. I declined and picked up my car, only to be subjected to yet another upsell attempt for air filters. The lack of expertise and constant sales pressure completely eroded my trust. On my drive home from Pleasanton to Oakland, the slight ticking escalated into a severe, full knock. I texted Daniel immediately to voice my concerns but received absolutely no response. The following week, I took my car to an independent specialist in German cars. Within two and a half hours, they diagnosed the issue perfectly: a failing water pump was disrupting belt tension and causing the knock. The diagnostic fee was a reasonable $103 (waived if repaired there), and the service was entirely pressure-free. The contrast was night and day. As a 6-year customer, I expected to be valued and respected. Instead, I felt like a target for upsells. I will never bring my car back to East Bay Mini.

Tire and Wheel Warranty…read more When I arrived to pick up my 2026 911 Carrera, the finance manager spoke to me about purchasing the tire and wheel warranty package. He mentioned that it was the only warranty package that must be purchased before leaving the dealership. I can understand why. About four months after taking delivery of my car, the left rear tire kept losing air, very slowly. I searched for a puncture, but could not find one. At five months, I got curb rash on my right front wheel...ugh. Caner had contacted me for a six-month follow-up, and I mentioned both issues. It was during that conversation that he asked if I'd like a service tech to contact me. That is when I spoke to Tim Wong over the phone. We made an appointment for the very next day, and I drove to the dealership. After filling out some paperwork, Tim let me know that my warranty included a loaner car, and he offered me a new Macan. While in the waiting room, I heard the receptionist offer local customers Uber service to their homes and back. I dropped off my 911 on Thursday, and it was ready for pickup on the following Tuesday. I mentioned to Tim that I had an appointment on Monday, so he kindly arranged my pickup for the following day. The man who serviced my car, Bowdoin, sent me a video of the car's inspection via Tim's email. He was very thorough and friendly in his assessment. Caner was off that day, so he arranged for Hart to go over some of the PCM questions I had. He answered both and was engaging, friendly, and professional. My left rear tire had a nail, which caused a slow leak. The tire was replaced. The curb rash on my right front rim was fixed as well. I've come to realize that a brand is only as good as the people who represent that brand. So many of my friends have said, "Yeah, they should do that since it's a Porsche and the amount you have to pay for them!" In theory, that makes sense. Yet I've had horrible encounters at Porsche Fremont, and it is the same ownership as Walnut Creek Porsche, Fletcher Jones. Two opposed levels of service. My friend, who has owned 14 911s, has his cars serviced at Monterey Porsche, and his stories are horrible. This is not just Porsche, but any brand, Sony, Canon, etc. These are the individuals I have encountered at Walnut Creek Porsche, and I could not be more pleased with the levels of service I have received.
