This is my (first time) visiting and dining inside this Oceanside Bakery Restaurant. Every employee that worked today, and I have talked to Charlene, Autumn, Noah, Noemi, and Sierra gave me (excellent customer service) and every one was very friendly and personable to me. I noticed when I walked into this Oceanside Bakery, their dining room area was very clean and also their women's bathroom. I used it before I left this Oceanside Bakery. Charlene this employee recommended to me to order their Turkey and Cheddar Cheese Croissant Sandwich it includes: a generous portion of sliced Turkey Meat, shredded Lettuce, sliced Tomatoes, and diced Red Onions with mayonnaise and mustard. The price is $10.00. This Croissant Sandwich when I received it has a lot of meat stacked high like a deli-restaurant. That's a good thing. I love a lot of Turkey Meat in my sandwiches. This Turkey and Cheddar Cheese Croissant Sandwich includes either French Fries, a Side Salad or a Fruit Cup. I selected the one serving of French Fries. For my beverage, I ordered the large (20 ounce) size cup of the Mocha (Chocolate) flavored Coffee. The price is $4.00. For dessert, I wanted to order one dessert item from their bakery. I looked in their display window and I saw these Fruit flavored Mini Tarts which includes Kiwi's, Strawberries, and Blueberries on top of a flaky Pie Crust. The price is $3.00. I also saw Cream Cheese Flavored Pastries with a Strawberry and Custard filling. The Price is $3.00. There were also Cinnamon Rolls with Raisins and Cream Cheese Icing. The Cinnamon Rolls were a medium size. The price is $3.00. Their menu prices at this Oceanside Bakery are very reasonable. I really like Fruit flavored Turn overs. I bought only (one of these Strawberry Cream Cheese Turn overs) with this Chocolate and Vanilla Icing drizzled on top of this Fruit Flavored Turn over. The price was $2.50. My Total Bill was $16.50 for 3 food items I ordered this afternoon for my lunch time meal. I met and talked to all of these Oceanside Bakery employees who were working today. I talked to these (5 employees) whose names are Charlene, Autumn, Noah, Sierra, and Noemi. Every one of these employees that I had spoken to today. Like for instance Noah brought my Turkey and Cheddar Cheese Croissant Sandwich with my French Fries to my table. Noah said he enjoys interacting with their customers and he enjoys helping people. There is also table service at this Oceanside Bakery Restaurant. All of these employees made a (great impression on me), when I met and had spoken to them this afternoon. The flavor on this Turkey and Cheddar Cheese Croissant Sandwich tastes delicious these vegetables that includes the tomatoes, shredded lettuce and the mustard that was spread onto the inside of this Croissant made this sandwich more flavorful. The French Fries are (top notch) and (5 Stars). Excellent these French Fries had a chewy consistency to them and is lightly seasoned with salt. The Mocha Coffee in the large size (20 ounce) cup was a sweet beverage and tastes really rich with this delicious Chocolate flavor. My rating for this Mocha Coffee is (5 Stars - Excellent). Then I finally purchased the one quantity of the Strawberry Cream Cheese Turnover. The price is $2.50. I heated up this Strawberry Cream Cheese Turnover in the microwave oven for a one minute and then I enjoyed this dessert with a hot cup of tea. The Strawberry Cream Cheese filling was very delicious! I am still going to give this Oceanside Bakery an Excellent (5 - Star Rating). I received Awesome Customer Service from everyone of these hard working employees. I saw Noemi disinfecting and spraying down every table in the inside dining room and then wiping down each table to comply with this Covid-19 Guidelines. Noah brought me my lunch order to my table with a friendly smile. Charlene, Autumn, and Sierra these (3 younger women) were very personable and greeted me with a upbeat happy attitude on my first visit to this Oceanside Bakery. Plus this Oceanside Bakery serves really delicious Sandwiches, flavored Coffee, and most of all their yummy Strawberry Cheesecake Turnover is one of my favorite desserts. On my next visit to this Oceanside Bakery I would love to order their Strawberry French Toast for Breakfast. I highly recommend this Oceanside Bakery. read more

I've made several visits to this bakery, and have tried breakfast, lunch and desserts. The menu is fairly extensive, but the pastry case has never been full, even at opening time. Regardless of the minimal dessert selection, I tend to favor the mixed fruit tart. While other places line the crust with white or dark chocolate (yum!) or sometimes icing (yuck!), this place fills theirs with a chewy cookie! The Benedict had a rich, house-made hollandaise that actually separated as it sat, not even too-long as I am a quick eater. I wish the muffin was toasted more as it got mushy and unappealing fairly fast. I had the hash browns but next time I will ask for fruit to offset the heaviness of the dish, if I order it again. The croissant was a poor choice of bread for my grilled chicken sandwich as it didn't hold the ingredients and was greasy. Next time, I'll get the baguette. I had a seasonal pumpkin puree + caramel latte and it was absolutely decadent. I wouldn't order a flavored latte from here again, as I don't really like sweet drinks. I would probably love this place if I could possibly learn from my past ordering mistakes aha. Food was amazing! I live in Poway and discovered them while on an Outreach event for my work and have come back all the way from Poway because they're just so good! The dessert bar looks too good to be true but believe me! They're as great as they look if not better! Service was also very great. I was helped by Kaliyah (I forget the spelling please forgive me) on both my visits and she is just so sweet, so nice and very knowledgeable of the menu. This place seems like a gem tucked away in the corner of a busy area. When I arrived the line did not seem to be in the right place, according to the sign. The cashier did have everyone move to the right area. I was glad I got the last Almond Croissant. It sure was delightful. It was hard to pick something because EVERYTHING looked so good! The bakery must be popular since it was pretty busy when I arrived this morning around 9 am. Plenty of parking but pay attention since there are a lot of people waking to and from there. When we got to the front of the line the Barista (African American Lady) said I was standing in the wrong spot and refused to serve me unless I went to the back of the line. THEN... Went back yesterday and split a roast beef sandwich which came with fries, an almond croissant turnover, and a mango tart. Sandwich was a good portion to split as bf and I were a little hungry. I think we've found another favorite spot in Oceanside O'side Bakery (@osidebakery ) is located on the northeast corner of Mission & El Camino Real, next to the Oceanside police department (of all places!) They have so many delicious looking pastries, but we were hungry so we ordered up breakfast tacos - mine with avocados and Stephen got sausage. You get 2 HUGE, fully packed tacos for $7 and they're so good! We probably could just split one plate next time. Of course we got coffee too - they have a nice selection of latte flavors and rotating seasonal specials, as well as flavored Italian soda-type drinks too. Some bakeries I've tried, the coffee is a bit too sweet or just...iffy... but not here! Rich and just as good as some of the roasteries we go to. I had the coffee cake latte - nice with notes of brown sugar and cinnamon without being to sweet. Stephen got the vanilla rose which was rich with subtle flavors of rose. It's hard to get the service you need when you want something but yet they ask for a tip when you pay Before you even try the food or receive any service at all.... I don't get that. So my advice: do not tip anything until after you've at least tried the food and received some kind of service. Pricing: It's fairly priced but the quality could be better on breakfast. The food is great however I'm allergic to soy and when I asked my French toast to be cooked and butter instead of spritz with soybean oil they refused. Restaurants need to learn that at everybody can use soy and it's not a healthy oil. read more

First time trying this restaurant. Huge fan of breakfast and wanted to see what this place was all about. Upon entering it was a huge space. Immediately upon entering they have hand sanitizer and menus at the entrance. The restaurant had an assortment of pastries on display . So many delicious choices to choose from. We were looking for a place to have breakfast after dropping our fur-baby off at the vet. For convenience sake, it was between this bakery or the "Pit Stop" restaurant in the same parking lot. I didn't want my body to go into shock so ... O'side bakery it is ... hahahah! Just check out the pictures I took. Now, as far as the taste ... I'm just going to say this, When I go to a "Bakery", is it wrong for me to think ALL items were baked fresh early in the morning?? As in, "0300 (dark) hundred in the morning??" Hmmm .... Clientele: It was around 0730-0800 when we were there and for some reason, there was a lot of mature looking men in suits wolfing down their pastries and coffee. Suit and ties: By nature, we doughnut looking people are people watchers. That's our exercise. Hahaha! That being said, I figured out who the suit and ties guys were. Well I left a great review of O'side Bakery 8 months ago, but something has drastically changed. The pastries are still good and you can always get a good latte, but the lunch I just ordered was not edible. I got spinach and egg quiche and it was bad. The crust was like burned cardboard and the filling was yucky. Tasted like frozen spinach and egg. No flavor. The hash browns were ok. I'm very disappointed and not sure if it's under new management or they hired a different chef. Hopefully more clients will let them know how some of their entrees really taste so that they can improve. Hoping they improve!! read more
