This place is mediocre at best. I don't know why it has better ratings online, but for $15 dollars, the falafel wrap was sad. Two pieces of falafel, a ton of hummus, a pinch of diced small cucumber and that's it. There was no lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and only a sprinkle of tzatziki sauce, hardly to taste. NOT WORTH IT! I don't mind paying the price, IF the food is worth it, but it's not. Aside from that, the man behind the register seems irritated to be there, didn't say a word just insinuated to give him a card with his hand and seemed to be huffing and puffing at being there. We found this place for a group lunch and everyone was very happy with their selections. I didn't realize it was take out only (which was fine we took it back to the office) so plan for that. WEBSITE ATTEMPTS FRAUD. I was ordering food online to pick up, and I responded yes to allow the business to send me alerts - the type you get when someone is having a sale. I thought it would alert me when the food was ready to be picked up. Later today, I got three alerts through my browser that my information had been stolen by Oasis Grill. The browser cannot know this - and that type of alert is initiated by the business, not by a browser. Most likely had I clicked on the alert, a scam would have attempted to extract more information from me. What is more, the restaurant didn't have my order in their system when I arrived to pick up. I explained what an inconvenience this was for me, and that I didn't have time to wait for them to make it, and had lost $30 as well, and the store operator simply dismissed me. He stared right through me, then at his hands as he worked at his cash register, pretending I was not there. He refused to apologize or to make up for the issue with his ordering system. read more

The line for weekday lunch stretches quite far, so I am inclined to believe they are equipped to serve high volumes. But I came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and there were only a couple other customers in this little take-out spot. $11 Chicken Shawarma - chicken with tahini, lettuce, tomatoes & topped with garlic sauce, wrapped in lavash: The wrap was huge and satisfied my hunger. However, I have learned that I am not the biggest fan of lavash. I would have preferred it wrapped in something softer, like a pita. But that's more of a personal preference. The chicken was pretty juicy, but the sauce was dripping quite a bit, even though I kept the bottom wrapped in foil. $5.50 Baklava: Why is baklava always so expensive? I can't say no to it. This was especially flaky, crunchy, and sweet with the nutty pistachio flavor. I ate one piece and saved the rest in the fridge for Mr. Joy, and it was still pretty good a few hours later. Now I hate to say anything negative, especially if it's something that didn't happen to me. Another patron had placed an order online and he came in to ask if they had his order, and they insinuated that there aren't any online orders. A few minutes later, the manager emerged and said they did have his order ready, but the customer said frustratedly that he already canceled the order. The manager said he would give the customer a bad review for 'leaving the food.' This is just a classic case of miscommunication and both parties could have tried a little harder to clear things up. However, I do think that Oasis Grill could have been less lazy about checking their orders and make more of an effort to placate the annoyed customer. Though I thought the service could have been better (even though this didn't happen to me), I thought the food was alright. I will not return for a wrap, but should I ever end up at OG, I'll try a a skewer plate or some hummus instead. read more

I liked that the Chicken Melt one was filled with a good amount of vegetables (pepers, zucchini, etc) The wraps are wrapped in a soft and fresh Lavash bread. They add a generous amount of sauce to the wraps- the sauce is good (you can customize if it's spicy or not), but it really made the wraps soggy and fall apart easily once we got to the park to eat them. And they only put 1 napkin in the bag ... luckily I always have baby wipes with me! They have ordering on their website, but after multiple attempts I couldn't get the website to work. Idk what others may think, but this to me is the best falafel wrap you will get in the Bay Area hands down. The people at this store are extremely nice and accommodating, even with the many unreasonable desires I have. I usually get the Falafel Deluxe Wrap here. The part that makes it deluxe is that it comes with grilled marinated eggplant as well, which is really a game changer to the wrap. And trust me, the falafel wrap already is so good with it's tasty falafel and fillings that you would be confused as to how it would be better. The unreasonable part comes where I want to get fries added to the wrap, because why not? They are so nice and add them as well, and I love it so much. And yes I get is spicy, or extra spicy when I am feeling the need of a kick. The lavash is also a nice crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, so it is the perfect wrap texture. Not sure why I've never written a review about Oasis Grill before this, but they have HANDS DOWN the best Falafel wraps and Chick Shawarma that I've ever had on the West coast or East coast. Extremely flavorful and filling, this was absolutely my go-to lunch spot when I worked in San Francisco, and I often thought about their food when I lived/worked elsewhere and compared EVERY Mediterranean restaurant to theirs. This is my favorite Mediterranean food place in town! I got the wrap and omg it was reaally soft lamb and beef gyro with amazing creamy tzatziki sauce. Drool. Also, the portion is really big! SUMMARY: Great wraps with many choices of fillings for the vegetarians and carnivores. The guys and gals in the back have INCREDIBLE memories for who ordered what, so don't be taken aback by not leaving your name or not getting a number. They do an awesome job at catering too. FOOD: You have a lot of choices here from falafel, hummus, kefta, shwarma, etc. The wraps are a really good choice as a grab and go, but they do have plate lunches as well. One knock: its very drippy and sauce-y. Thus by mid-way into your meal, most likely your wrap is mushy at the bottom so be forewarned if you're eating on the go and not minding the bottom of the foil because it'll leak. CATERING: I've arranged some going away and team lunches and the process is very easy. Can also be handled with a simple phone call. This location is right down the street from Embarcadero. There is no indoor seating except for a very tiny bar located next to the door with only two seats. I ordered the Beef and Lamb gyro and it was delicious. It was so flavorful. Originally, I did not want the spicy sauce but they ended up giving it to me anyways. It was a good kick. The gyro was fairly large, I only ate around half and I was so full. However, this is definitely an item you must consume while hot. It tastes the best this way. I learned that by reheating it in the microwave, it does become soggy. The prices are not the prices listed in any of the yelp pictures (as of November 2019).
