I'm obsessed with the OB Club! From the moment I saw garlic aioli, I knew it had a good chance of being one of my favorite sandwiches and it lived up to my high expectations. From the grilled chicken breast to the creamy avocado, I was so happy with this sandwich. The only thing that would make it better would be a slice of swiss cheese! Serving the sandwich with a side of garlic fries just took it all to the next level. My mouth is watering now just thinking about it! My boyfriend, who is vegetarian, tried the bomb wrap and the veggie-filled tortilla was a big hit too! We ventured into OB Brewery because we had a BOGO deal in our Dining Out book but we plan to return again soon. TERRIBLE service. I came here w a friend for my birthday. It was absolutely NOT busy and we waited well over 30 minutes just to ASK if our food was done. All while in the mean time, people arriving after us got their food in about 10-15 minutes of ordering. They told us the "kitchen is backed up." No it's not, typical excuse response. I used to be a server. They had 3 people working back there. We also ordered chips and salsa which never came either. It has now been 40 minutes since ordering and STILL no food. I really don't like leaving negative reviews. So let me start by saying that the front of house staff are wonderful. However, I got the fish and chips and they are just plain awful. Burnt batter on the two tiny pieces of fish, clearly cooked in old oil (granted it was the end of the day). The fish has no seasoning whatsoever. A pile of flimsy shoe string fries for the chips, that were supposed to be garlic parmesan but have no discernible or visible garlic parmesan topping. Two tablespoons of bland coleslaw, and a fully burnt lemon (You cant torch garnish like a lemon that's supposed to be used on the food, artsy though it may be, it leaves no juice in the lemon to use on the fish, Just burnt citrus flesh and seeds). ^^That dish literally cost $15. So, you draw your own conclusions. The thing I love about OB is that a lot of the places here are dog friendly. My roommate and I wanted to grab a beer on a rooftop somewhere with the doggo and this was one of the first places that popped up on yelp. There are about three levels to this location. The second floor had some games and the rooftop had a bar and plenty of seats. Btw, there is a $10 minimum per card. Amazing view! Happy hour is like two dollars off pints and certain apps for five each. Fried pickles are cut into thin strips and were pretty good. Our experience was not bad. We got rooftop seating and a view of Ocean Beach so that was cool. The breeze was fantastic! We ordered a flight of beers to start. I wasn't impressed but it's possible their beer isn't my taste and others love them. They did have an interesting jalapeño saison and an oatmeal stout that was light weight and good for summer drinking. The food though was lovely. I had the carnitas street tacos and they were really good. Lots of very tasty carnitas with avocado and slaw. Yum! Came here a few mo the ago with my mother in law and kids and remembered how great it was! This place is awesome it has 3 stories I think and it's really big, right by the beach. The middle story has a game room with a pool table and a coupe other fun table games and the top balcony has an awesome vibe with a great view! We had great service from the one server at the bar there who was handling the business well! The food was amazing tho! The kids had chicken tenders and fries, I had a bacon cheese burger with avocado and moms had shrimp tacos! Everything was so good and that burger was really so so delicious! We tried a flight of beer and that was super fun, we got to sit at this awesome corner table that has a fire pit in the center which I bet is amazing at night. The Brewery is a nice addition to the Ocean Beach area and it's even better that they service some good food. I stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning and ordered the "Sandwich" with Foggy Hill Ranch 63 Degree Egg which I had over medium, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, roasted tomato, and their secret sauce served on a Mexican torta for $7. On the side, I enjoyed some quinoa salad for $4. The certainly made a tasty breakfast sandwich. The so called secret sauce not just gave it a little zing but also better the over all flavor of the meal. The fried egg was cooked to the temp I requested or a nice soft medium, the bacon was very good, but at least one more slice would of been good to get that taste in every bit of the sandwich. The bacon had that very nice chewy and crispy texture. They offered a couple of slice of cheddar with the sandwich which was good, but I can't remember if I had a choice, because a couple of sliced of provolone would of been good too. The Mexican torta bread was warmed and pressed which came the bread a firm steady texture which helped it hold up well to the ingredients inside. The quinnoa salad was excellent I came cool to the touch and was filled will cooked quinoa. There was a lot going on with this salad, from the chopped red onions, to the greens, and its dressing. Each was a great component that added to the quality of the whole. I recommend this salad, if you like quinoa. The place is three levels, with bars and table service on each. The top level offered a magnificent view of the Ocean Beach surrounding area, including beach and ocean. My service was attentive and friendly. read more

The person who said LOL @ the 1 star review must be family of the owners. This place has been trying to open for over a year and finally did last week. It's hard to believe after a year of planning (and meanwhile selling t-shirts across the street) you couldn't open with trained staff, enough home brewed beer to make it a week, proper signage, and at most, wipe the ridiculously sticky bar off after customers leave (after several attempts -- still sticky). After having to request a wet towel to wipe off the bar. Also, I've never seen so many dirty glasses so close to customers. I didn't enjoy eating 2 feet from 9 columns of dirty bar glassware. See the pic. This place will probably be successful just by virtue of location only; the roof deck has a good view of the ocean and pier but there aren't many seats so you would have to be lucky to get one. It is a 3-story bar, and I have no idea what the middle level is -- waste of space, in my opinion. The food was decent -- probably better than most bar food; but when we asked for side plates to eat the appetizers, they brought us more of the same: weird bowls they were served in. Try cutting a giant wing in a deep bowl made for soup. As a local, I will likely not frequent this place, but tourists will love it. If I had to sum it up, I would say opportunity largely missed. This place could be amazing, but as a previous bar owner myself, it's easy to recognize amateurs when I see them. There is a second floor with a balcony and the top is a rooftop space. They have a bar on both the top and bottom floors. The beers were pretty good. I liked the large selection of various beers. The food was just okay. Especially on a busy day, service can be tough because there are so many different spaces for people to be so you have to be patient. I went there Saturday at around 7pm. We were able to get a pretty sweet table on the top floor with a great view, so not super crowded for a Friday night. This is the place to go if you're looking for a sweet view and don't care much about the food. The beer is pretty good, I tried their hoppy house lager. I shared the carnitas nachos and the buffalo wings with my fiancé and we were a little disappointed, not as flavorful as we expected. The pineapple pieces on the nachos were stale. Overall, pretty average bar food. If you can make it to the top floor to watch the sunset, you should definitely have a beer there, but maybe hit another spot for food. read more

I love the rooftop patio here - perfect place to appreciate OB while catching a few brews and a bite. Especially if you want to catch the sunset! I haven't had too much from the menu but I have enjoyed their Fish and Chips (SUPER CRISPY and loved the grilled lemons), Fries and El Diablo Burger. As for their beer selection, I've tried several different flights but hadn't found any that have really stuck out. On average, they're ok. I do appreciate that this spot is dog friendly which is super convenient for all of us that bring our fur babies to the nearby dog beach. It's great to stroll on over afterwards to have a drink and I've even ordered a child's cheeseburger for my pup here --which she loved! All in all, I come for the view and dog friendly environment. Great food and views from a lesser known spot in OB. Family friendly with a number of local beers on top. We enjoy the rooftop for brunch/lunch, amazing ocean views and a 360° view of all OB. Carnitas Nachos and the Burger are always solid. They usually have a Living Social offer that makes it easy to bring the family and not cost you an arm and a leg. I stopped in while putzing around OB, looking for lunch and a beer. I love to check out local beer scenes wherever I go, and this place looked kind of cool. My friend and I wound up staying about an hour and a half. Our server at the bar, Kayla, was an engaging and super friendly host (she's from our area so conversation was easy and plentiful). I would go back just to give her my business. I'm a fan of the beer. I had the B. Right On pale ale and Elevator, a nitro red. Loved both of them. My friend had an IPA and an oatmeal stout, and was equally pleased. We each had a quinoa salad for lunch. They were large and flavorful, and kept us full for a while. When you walk in there is a main bar with a couple tavs, then walk up the stairs to the next level where the games and bathrooms are (there are only one mens and one womens single bathroom), then walk up another level and it opens up to clear skies, ocean views, heaters, umbrellas, & tables with fire. Walk down the other way and there is another small bar and a comfy seating area under a canopy. The decor is fun and colorful with painted surfboards and beach motif. This place has unfortunately changed since it opened. When it first opened, we loved it, and would come here often. However, last year during the Christmas parade we came here, and had a questionable experience. The day after the parade we had noticed that the server had added an extra dollar to her tip. That scared us off for like a year, literally. Super shady and like, she probably didn't think we had noticed.. We had to wonder how many people she did that to. A few months after that, we noticed it was closed for vermin infestation.. Uh, gross. Recently, we decided to try it out again. We thought, maybe they had turned things around. We ordered the pita tacos and the chicken wings. The chicken wings were not cooked all of the way. When we bit into them, blood literally spilled out. It was pretty nasty. We told the server, and she said she would take them back. However, she didn't really apologize. I think the chef was the one to bring them back out when they were fixed, and he did not apologize either. I am not sure if it was someone who worked in the kitchen or what who brought out our tacos, but he did not even know what we ordered. He told me I ordered fish and chicken when I had ordered carnitas..
