The delivery person called me to let me know they didn't want to make the food. I called ocean snack to confirm. And the guy said that they don't accept delivery services and how it is unappealing to the clients who actually come in to order. How RUDE of him to make that kind of comment. I had to call the third party to get my refund. And the third party told me that it is Ocean Snack's responsibility to take down their platform if they no longer want to take orders from third parties for delivery. 2. Their kimchi pasta is a hit or miss... mostly misses. It's either too sweet, too salty, or they use udon noodles which does not pair well with pasta type dishes. 3. The other foods like sushi roll/ kimchi fried rice that I used to enjoy is now just. Either really mushy or really bland. Not worth the price for the food anymore. read more

Went to the source mall at night and tried this place for dinner. Among five of us, we ordered many meals. We got the black buck wheat noodles in cold spicy sauce, one tempura bento box, one ttuk ppok ee, one kimchi and egg fried rice, and one masago pasta. Mine was the masago pasta, but we all shared our meals. I also very much liked the black buck wheat noodles in cold spicy sauce. It was cold and delicious. The ttuk ppok ee was alright. It wasn't too spicy or sweet, so that was good. I liked my masago pasta. The masago all popped inside my mouth and it was creamy and yummy. I appreciated that you can get side dishes of the macaroni salad, the potato salad and the kimchi. Those were very good too. I got too full by the end of the meal. Hope this place lasts unlike the poke place that used to be here. The nice lady working the counter called me over to try a sample and I couldn't help but indulge. I tried two of the fish cakes and both were quite tasty; I ended up getting the crunchier one, along with some potato balls. I have got to say, everything was quite tasty. I haven't really tried Korean street food before but if this is indicative of what to expect, I need to be on the lookout for more Korean street food. I thought the fish cake I got was quite fresh and was still hot when I got it. I really like the potato balls, would definitely recommend if you decide to pay this place a visit. We wanted to order their mixed sashimi bowl and ramen. Once we received our order, we were given a rice bowl with various fried items instead of a sashimi bowl. We chalked it up to just a miscommunication. My boyfriend took the untouched food back to the counter to ask if we can exchange it for the correct one. The counter lady was extremely rude. She looked my boyfriend, who is a person of color, up and down then refused to help. At one point, she had even took the plate of food away and refused to give it back or a refund. Who forces tip on to-go orders?! On a $29.97 total, they added tax and THEN made him pay 15% tip = $4.84. He said the cashier told him to choose either 15% or 18%. He typically leaves a dollar or two on To-Go orders, but to be FORCED to tip much more, is not cool. My FIL is a generous person in general, and it must have bothered him enough for him to mention it to me. Worst place ever. Me and my friend were racially discriminated by the old Korean lady in the front. We went to order kimchi fried rice and the lady greeted us with an attitude like she didn't want to deal with us. This is where the racial discrimination happens. It seems like the oodang is of good quality. But here is the problem.... it's fried.... well that's not even the problem.... the problem is it is soaked in oil. You can literally squeeze a pint of oil. So naturally as your eating... you just don't feel good about what you're doing to your body. I came here on a Sunday, and the food court was packed (especially the line at Popeyes for the chicken sandwich haha). My mom and I decided to grab a quick snack before heading to our movie, so we decided on Ocean Snack because I wanted a sushi roll. They were doing a buy 1 get one 50% off roll promotion, but we didn't take advantage of that because we weren't super hungry. We ordered this spicy tuna roll with salmon and avocado on top (I forgot what it was called). When it came out, I was surprised because the roll was definitely a bit bigger than your average sushi roll. There is a little condiment section in the front with miso soup, kimchi, and potato salad, as well as napkins and other utensils. For food court sushi, Ocean Snack is definitely pretty up there. Just tried this place out yesterday and I'm glad I was able to experience eating the food here! Ocean Snack is located on the third floor of The Source mall inside the food court. They offer a variety of different types of Korean food, but I was most intrigued by their offerings of Korean street food. I have never seen a restaurant sell Korean street food before so I was eager to try! The owner of the restaurant was really kind. He gave my friend and I a lot of great detailed recommendations when we were deciding on what to order. I ordered the Shrimp Crunch and my friend ordered the Crunchy Bites along with the Shrimp Crunch. The food is well priced and it's a great snack to have while walking around the mall. They also made the snacks for us right when we ordered so our food was fresh and hot. Since the prices are pretty cheap (around $3-5) you can order multiple to try different things out! Along with each Korean street food item that you order, you also have a variety of different sauces and condiments to choose from to add in extra flavor. They also offer stamp cards and sell different snacks at this location. My friend and I also got a bag of almonds to snack on from a brand called Deez Nuts, and they were very tasty! Overall, 5/5 stars. The owner of the restaurant is genuinely very kind and had great service. Oh wow I'm surprised by all the mixed reviews! My fam and I come to the Source maybe once a week specifically to get takeout from Ocean Snack. Their menu is so big (and admittedly hodgepodge-y) that it's easy to get a variety of food to satisfy everyone. I really like their hwedupbap (kind of like a Korean poke bowl), and I also like the kimchi pasta dish and the ddokbokki. Their rolls are just OK but they're huge and cheap so I can't complain too much. read more
