Delicious food, staff was very friendly and made sure to look after us. We got the sashimi set A, sea eel, takoyaki, shumai, and gyoza - not sure what else but it was very delicious! Try the live octopus!! It's definitely very interesting

The fish is SO fresh here. They have a fish tank in the back which explains the freshness. I love their specially curated set of side dishes. It's a very unique and delicious take on Korean side dishes. There's a lot of thought put into it. I especially loved their fried calamari. It was so juicy and the batter was delicious. It's kind of expensive here but it's a great place to go to go a special occasion.

I came to moon beach sashimi for the first time and loved it! We often go to similar restaurants around the area but this restaurant has better presentation, side dishes, freshness of their sashimi. It is a bit more expensive but definitely worth coming here again for a special event. They also gave us a few extra sides for free which was really nice!

7/2/26. left: yellowtail belly, salmon, bluefin tuna. Right: Toro and salmon belly. Freaking delicious.

Okay, first things first: turn off the Instagram filters before you park. Social media made this place look like a sprawling, mega-fancy mega-mansion of fish. In reality? It's a super simple, cozy little joint tucked inside a Korean shopping plaza. And honestly? I kind of loved that. No pretense, just straight-up good food. The menu on the website is accurate to the menu and the restaurant, so I didn't bother taking photos of the current menu. My dining partner and I rolled in on a Thursday early evening, so it was empty. Pro-tip: This place is not for the faint of heart. If you freak out when your food looks back at you, beware: some of the seafood is literally alive right before it hits your plate. Here is the breakdown of our feast: The Freebies & Apps: Service was incredibly attentive. They start you off with the otsumami/pickled nibbles (seaweed, cabbage, cucumber, and daikon) which I totally enjoyed. We also got a complimentary miso soup. Was it life-changing soup? Nah, just regular miso, but hey...it's on the house, I'm smiling. The Cucumber Salad: MUST ORDER. I would order this over and over again. They sneak small strips of imitation crab into it and the seasoning is fantastic. The Oysters: We got two Komodo oysters. They came pre-dressed, tiny, fresh, and wildly tasty. The Nigiri (The Real Stars): Yellowtail belly, salmon belly, Toro, and regular salmon. Holy. Cow. Top-tier, thick, long cuts that literally melted in our mouths. You can taste the absolute freshness. Spicy Salmon Crispy Rice: Not my personal jam, but my dinner date loved it. Heads up: it's got a kick. If Sriracha is your max heat tolerance, proceed with caution. The Live Sweet Shrimp ($20): They have a $20 and a $25 option (for ONE piece). I went with the twenty-buck choice. And yes... it was still twitching a bit when it arrived. But man, it was worth every single dollar. So fresh, so sweet. They offered to fry the head afterward, but I passed since I don't care for that part. The Skip: The Cilantro Yellowtail Roll from the Thursday special menu. I wanted to see what the hype was, and I usually love cilantro, but it just totally threw the palate off. The yellowtail itself was great (it's inside and on top, no cheap California roll filler here!), but I wouldn't order it again. The Bottom Line: Don't come here expecting a 5-page menu of rolls are you finding your typical sushi menu. This is a dedicated, live-seafood spot. Because of that, the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and generous cuts make it 100% worth it. We left totally satisfied and will definitely be back! P.S. the little jello pack au the end was a nice sweet snack for after the meal

My friend wanted the live octopus experience so we went here! The menu has different sets you can order. We ordered set A which came with sashimi, live octopus, cold salad, soup and tempura. I've never had cold salad before and it was very refreshing, absolutely loved it! If you've ever had Korean cold noodles that have the slush, imagine that dish except as a salad. Didn't take as many photos, but highly recommend this restaurant. The sushi quality is great! Clean restaurant and great service!

This place isn't your typical sushi spot. I recommend coming here prepared to spend a little more than at other sushi places. It's worth it. We ordered the Sashimi Set C, and it was such a fun dinner with multiple courses. It started with a delicious salad, steamed eggs, and several small side dishes. Our sashimi platter was beautifully presented and generously portioned, enough to share among four people. Important note for the management: please replace the bathroom air hand dryer with paper towels. It's blasting the bathroom air into the entire restaurant. Otherwise, it's definitely a great restaurant!

Found this place on TikTok and wasn't disappointed. Came on a random Thursday around 7pm and didn't have a wait! They were out of live octopus, which is what we came for, but their sashimi combo and live shrimp (which we didn't get this time but will next time for sure) were just as appealing. We got the Sashimi Combo C, added Oysters, and the Unagi Rice for 3 people and we cousin finish everything. The seafood quality was so good and the portions were so big and delicious. My highlights were of course the abalone and all of the sashimi, but there were NO MISSES! I loved everything that I ate. The owner was in when we had gone and she was super sweet. She gave us so many freebies and taught us about how to pair certain foods and sides. It was my birthday and she even helped us crank up the music to sing happy birthday. I loved this experience. It wasn't super pricy for the quality and quantify and I'd absolutely go back.

Make a reservation as the place gets filled quick. Food comes out very slow. We ordered set A + nigiri set and each item came out after we finished each plate, and the nigiri set came out an hour after we ordered. The fish was yummy and not fishy.

Overpriced and Underwhelming This place is priiiiiicey! Even by sushi standards, it's extremely expensive -- and unfortunately, the quality doesn't justify the cost. To give you an idea: I ordered the premium nigiri set, binchotan eel, chicken karaage, a yuzu highball, and hot green tea... and my bill came out to nearly $450. The staff was friendly, but hard to flag down -- whether to order something else or just ask for napkins. The wait for the food was also surprisingly long, which made the experience drag even more given the price point. Fresh wasabi was an extra $10, which is wild considering most sushi spots charge around $2 for it. It's nice that they include complimentary banchan, but a few pickled vegetables and a bowl of miso soup don't exactly make up for the steep pricing. The fish quality was fine -- just not exceptional for what they're charging. Overall, it's a decent spot, but for the cost, there are plenty of other sushi restaurants that deliver far better quality, service, and value.

Everything we had here was super fresh, light, and delicious! My 2 girlfriends and I came in really hungry . We started out ordering set #3 with oysters and fresh eel. Our server actually suggested that we order set #2 which is a little smaller order and cheaper since we already had the oysters and grilled eel and thank goodness he suggested that because true to his words had we stuck with set 3 it would have been too much food! Thanks for the suggestion and honesty! Pros: All the seafood was fresh and delicious! Grilled eel was highlight of the night cause it was grilled to perfection and had a delicious, flaky, yet still bouncy chewy texture! You just have to try it to appreciate it! Service was attentive and good. Appreciated all the "compliments of the chef" extra dishes we got to try! Cons: Tempura wasn't their best, but I honestly wasn't there for their tempura but it came with our meal Set.

Wow wow wow. We came with a party of 10 and ordered the set menus--absolutely amazing. Every dish was beautifully plated, insanely fresh, and packed with flavor. If you're not a seafood lover... why are you even here? But if you are, prepare to have your socks blown off. Some highlights for us: the seared toro, raw ebi shrimp, uni, and live octopus--all unforgettable. The sashimi platter was divine and soooo fresh, easily one of the best I've had in LA. You'll be leaving with a super full tummy, trust me. Portions are generous, and the quality is top-tier. The staff was efficient and handled our large group with ease, keeping the courses flowing at a perfect pace. Bonus: the plaza has a huge parking lot, so no stress finding a spot. And there's a great Korean supermarket right next door if you want to explore more. Moon Beach Sashimi & Grill is a hidden gem. I'm still thinking about that meal--and I'll absolutely be back.

    Turbot Flounder, Sashimi

The food was phenomenal. The turbot flounder sashimi, in particular, had an incredible natural sweetness and a firm, clean texture that was unforgettable. So much quality!

If you're wanting a Korean-style sushi experience, this is the place…read more What is Korean-style sushi? It's a coursed meal centered around sashimi platters (very unusual to see nigiri at these restaurants), and dishes made with rest of the fish that became sushi. It's sashimi with a lot of extra accoutrements you'd expect in a Korean restaurant. We started with porridge and miso soup, and lots of banchan, including cheesecorn and steamed egg. Then came the sashimi platter. In Korean sushi houses, you get to have soy sauce AND a gochujang based sauce (it's gochujan and vinegar). They also gave us sesame oil + salt and dried seaweed which I think is for the tuna. Then there was tokoyaki, fried rice cakes, tempura, spicy fish stew, grilled fish, fried salmon skin, fried chicken, and spicy marinated crab. All while getting refills on the banchan. It was exactly what I was wanting, as I have not found anything like it in Seattle! The staff was super friendly, and they had a lot of other items on the menu that I would love to try at some point in the future! Highly recommend!

The service was great again as well as our dishes…read more The tuna rice bowl was fresh and delicious. The toro special was buttery and so good especially wrapped in seaweed and dipped in the salt/sesame oil. We had the steamed egg again and it was fluffy and nice. The sashimi bowl was the best we've had. Definitely
