    Best drink ever!

Know what you are getting into with this waterside food stand. One reviewer called it a cheeseburger in paradise kind of place--that's accurate. The views and setting are outstanding. The food is super average, but the burger was tasty (the cheese was meh). The coconut shrimp were super average. The nitro brew with 5% alcohol was outstanding. The service was friendly but understaffed and slow. Be patient with the parking--there is a guest area about 500 yards from the outdoor restaurant. It's absolutely worth a stop, but adjust your food expectations. I think it's a great spot for a few drinks with a view, skipping the food.

DJ Terry was awesome! The food was great. Our waitress was wonderful. The run bucket was awesome! I had a margarita it was good, I like mine frozen. Overall, this place is great and it's located inside the Fiesta Key RV Resort. So, you don't to go far for great food and awesome drinks. Great island atmosphere.

    Surf and Turf was great!

Definitely a spot on place if Mary is working! She's the friendliest, most funny and attentive server we've had in a very long time! Sometimes service makes a place and sometimes it ruins a place. We went here twice, first time Mary made great recommendations for both food and drinks and she nailed it! Hubby had the surf and turf and it was perfect! The Stone crab Soup, Mary's recommendation, was delicious, I mean really good!! The second visit was not good, service or food! We waited forever and there were only 3 other tables! Food came out cold, no refills on drinks and couldn't get them to turn off the overhead fan that was freezing us out! Other folks asked to turn it off as well and we were all pretty much ignored, one couple finally just left without even getting their drink order! Inconsistent food and service but an excellent location!

I have to admit I was a bit hesitant at first of a restaurant at an RV park. A beautiful location in Fiesta Key on the water. Lots of shade available. The menu has good selections. We tried calamari, really good. Also ordered the blackened grouper served with steak fries. It didn't seem like fresh fish to me, it was just ok. We also had the key lime martini, I recommend it! The service was good. A nice relaxing place with nice outdoor seating.

Yelp comes to the rescue again! There isn't a lot to choose from where we are staying in the middle keys that isn't a 20 min car ride away. This place is tucked way back in a campground/ marina. We opted for the on the beach dining under a tiki hut. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Ricardo got the table ready a few chatted with us a bit. He had only been here a few weeks. His cousin, Fabrizio, then came by for our order. We just split the peel and eat shrimp and the calamari. The food came out with our second round of drinks and we enjoyed watching the ocean while we dined.

Nice spot for an RV resort restaurant. The view can't be beat but parking is super limited. Very friendly and accommodating server. Food was fresh and well prepared.

This is a very "cheeseburger in paradise" kinda place. The view is incredible, the food is... Snack bar. Bloody Mary was good. Had bacon in it. Peel and eat shrimp... Was not fresh, so we sent it back. Caribbean lobster white pizza with ricotta is good, but $28. House salad is decent.

    View from our table.

BEWARE! We went to Oceans305 after checking in and getting set up at our site. This is an real review I read someone recently said that the reviews must be fake since they were all five star. I'm not a frequent poster; I'm not sure that I've done more than one or two reviews - ever. But our lunch was good. Luciano was our server. Unfortunately he was the only waiter on site and service was ok but slow. The view was spectacular. I'll post more after we have dinner there. Update: Went to Happy Hour. Nachos tasty. First Blue Dolphin was blue and delicious. Waiter did not come back for a long time and happy hour was over (6:00pm). We asked for another round and asked if the happy hour price would be honored. Nope. Ordered same drink again - they were horrible and green - sent mine back and it came back an uglier green and tasted worse. I did not drink it. Waiter said that was a shame. I asked for the bill and was charged regular price for a drink I left on the table. I talked to the bartender, she said it was the new bottle of pineapple juice. I'm, really?? Told her it was I drinkable and left on the table. She said that was too bad and that she noticed it was green too. Was any offer made to make a different drink? Nope. Comp a drink tomorrow? Nope. Will we go back to the restaurant before we leave in a week? Doubtful.

It's legitimately one of the oldest continuously operating restaurants in the Florida Keys, which gives it a lot of built-in credibility before you even sit down. Walking up to it, you feel that history. The exterior, the gravel lot, the signage--it's pure roadside Keys. Inside, it leans into that "local bar meets tourist stop" vibe: long wooden bar, TVs, stickers everywhere, taps lined up. Then you open the menu and it pivots in every direction--New England chowder house, BBQ joint, burger shack, seafood spot. It's not clear what it wants to be, and that lack of focus carries straight through to the food. We started with both chowders. The clam chowder looks right at first glance, but the texture tells you everything--thick, almost gluey, clearly roux-heavy. The flavor leans aggressively fatty, closer to margarine than butter, with very little clam presence. No briny backbone, no pepper, no lift. We ended up dumping in black pepper and hot sauce just to make it remotely acceptable--but even then, that heavy fat note kept pushing through. Nothing about it reads as New England. The conch chowder fares a bit better. You can actually see a decent amount of conch, and there's a peppery edge that helps. But the broth is thin and lacks the chunky, stewed tomato depth you expect from a proper Keys-style conch chowder. After having it done right earlier at Key Largo Fisheries, the difference was obvious. Then there are the Texas Twinkies--and the photo really says it all. On paper, this should work: jalapeños wrapped in bacon, stuffed with brisket, pulled pork, cheeses, and sauce. In execution, it's just too much. Too much cream cheese, too many competing sauces, meats chopped into a soft, indistinct filling. It collapses into a heavy, muddy bite that feels more overwhelming than satisfying. Looking back at the menu, the simpler move--burger, ribs, even wings--probably would have been the right call. Instead, we ordered straight into the identity crisis. And that theory held up. We went back and grabbed a burger later--cooked a proper medium rare, with well-done, crispy fries--and it was easily the best thing we had from them. I wanted to like Herbie's. There's history, personality, and clearly a loyal following. But between the confused concept and uneven execution, the move here is simple: stick to the basics.
