My dog is super happy when I order take-out from here They give a lot of food. I started giving one of my eggs to my dog as a treat. I request that they separate the eggs because my dog cannot handle the country gravy. They put the eggs in a separate container for me. Also, their take-out is ready in like 10-15 minutes. However the chicken that came with the chicken with waffles was very dry and the breading tasted strange. Wouldn't consider ordering anything with chicken here. If you're alone, they have a nice lunch counter! This spot is very clean! Parking is a bit of a problem but if you don't mind walking it's easy to find a place! Make a reservation as it's always crowded and opened short hours... I was excited to try Off Street Café after seeing that they had vegan options listed on Yelp, but unfortunately that wasn't the case when we got there. When I asked about vegan choices, the staff said they actually don't have any. I even asked if the avocado toast could be made vegan, and they said yes -- which left me wondering why that wasn't offered to begin with when I asked. We had already waited about an hour for a table of 7, and with hungry kids, going somewhere else wasn't an option. So we stayed and ate. That said, the food was good and the service was friendly, which I do appreciate. I just wish the vegan options were clearer and that the staff had been more proactive in offering substitutions. If you're not vegan, you'll probably enjoy it more, but if you are, be prepared for limited choices. read more

This place was so crowded on a Saturday morning! I recommend coming here a bit earlier to put your name down though they do have a pretty speedy turnover rate. My friend said this is her go-to brunch place and I and totally see why. Even with these crazy egg prices, they still manage to keep their prices and portions reasonable. The wait for a busy Saturday was only 5 minutes for us. We sat on the patio and within seconds we were asked and delivered our drinks. I had the wet California breakfast burrito. It was large and very full. The only issue was it was given with a small ramekin of salsa. I asked for more. My wife ordered a spinach and mushroom omelette. It too was a large portion with a large portion of potatoes. Both dishes were good. Difficult to mess up breakfast. The dishes came out very quick. Service was very good. I was such a big fan of this place years ago, but I don't know what happened over the years. Hey, they still get very busy shortly after opening, so I guess they are still doing everything right for most people. Their cinnamon roll is still one of my favorite here. I really enjoyed it even on my last visit. It was always free with Yelp check in, and the deal always came back. However I marked it as read yesterday and it went away. I am not sure why I did that since they almost never have you do that. So that is still delicious. The service is still friendly enough, but not the same. A lot of the staff is very quiet and will check on you once or so after your meal comes. It seems like after the infamous year of 2020, things went downhill here some in my book. They took some of our favorite items away that brought us back here often. I got the chilaquiles verdes on my last visit and the plate had a lot more beans than chips and the chips were soggy right away. The sauce was light but they did provide a side of salsa on the side. I had a piece of Steven's sourdough toast and it tasted odd to me. I'm sure we will still come by here but my overall experience has gone downhill and some of those items we loved are gone. read more

The wait took some time but I can u deans for a Sunday morning with pretty big parties in front of us we still got sat within the time frame of 30 min for a party of two. The food was so good it came out so fast. We had time to look at the menu beforehand and had an idea of what we wanted and they came out within minutes of us ordering them. The seating was so nice and everyone was talking with friends but it wasn't too loud that you could hear someone from across the seat from you. Have been coming here consistently for a few years now. Mainly order the same thing, house skillet, with choice of other items on occasion such as steak breakfast and omelette. Have noticed a decline in quality since first coming here. Sooo much oil, grease, or butter? Or combination of the two, today my food was drowning in grease, couldn't finish it. Food comes out way too fast, not sure what goes on in the kitchen but seems like they are trying to keep up with the busy nature of the place by sending food out fast and not as great quality. Great place when you want brunch. There is the usual breakfast fare along with different mimosas and "adult beverages." Parking can be a challenge during peak meal times. You may have a little walk, but not much. During those times, be prepared to wait a few minutes as this place can be busy. The food is good and there are a lot of choices. We sat at the bar and got the best service in the whole place... plus, seating was immediate. Other patrons were friendly and even had a great conversation. They don't take reservations so we had to wait a little but we got a seat on the outdoor patio fairly quickly. They have a huge menu with many different breakfast and lunch items. My friend and I shared the breakfast burrito (meaty and hearty!) and vegetarian avocado toast (sourdough bread with avocados, tomatoes, cilantro. Could have been dressed a little better in my opinion...) with hash browns. I'm not a huge breakfast person personally so although everything was good, it wasn't amazing to me. They even have the old covid booth barriers. The floors were dirty and the place lacked warmth. The muffins in the case looked like they were brought in from Sam's club. Coffee drinks mid. Food is nothing to write home about, it looks and tastes mediocre. I will say the prices are inexpensive and good value here. However, they need to step their game up if they want to stay relevant. Everything's was perfectly thought out ... the aesthetics, the service, organization of supplies, pricing, the most important part, the food ! We all ordered different items from pancakes to omelettes to Machuca burritos to the their signature, The Off Street, all perfect and great tasting. All the butter and REAL maple syrup you want. Our server was efficient and checked constantly with us and our coffee cups were always full. I balked at the $6 seasonal muffins until I tasted them and saw their size. Order them and share with the table. Totally worth it. The food came out fast and hot and perfect. The best pancakes in LA! The omelettes and skillet were also good but the pancakes were so fluffy and fresh. Try them! Now I understand the hype! I'm craving the pancakes right now. Been here for brunch through the years and it was good enough this most recent visit. Very wide array of breakfast options and some lunch ones as well. The menu is kind of overwhelming! Very long waits and super busy on the weekends. Took around 45 min for us to get seated on a Sunday around 11. They have a waitlist system where they text you to confirm you're still there which is good because people do tend to leave which used to delay your seating time even more. But it's more efficient now. We were seated outside on a cold rainy day but good thing they had heaters! Our server was very nice, friendly, and attentive to us. What we ordered: -chicken and waffle: Chicken was kind of tough and was pretty seasoned. It was okay, but the waffle on the other hand was very good and fluffy! I'm not usually a fan of Belgian waffles but this one hit. -applewood bacon & eggs plate: I got this with hash browns and sourdough toast. A very basic, classic breakfast that you can't go wrong with. Bacon was on the soggier side which I'm not a fan of and hash browns were crispy but kind of bland. Overall a good basic breakfast though. -California burrito: My brother got this and he loved it so you've definitely got to try this if you come here. -onion rings: Very crunchy and yummy! Nothing fancy but will definitely fulfill the onion ring craving. Overall, I feel like the food isn't enough to justify the long waits. I feel like this is one of the few decent brunch spots that is local so that's why you're waiting so long. 2nd time coming here and it's packed again so yes the food is really that good the wait was not that bad 20-25 min that was pretty cool I like how they text you a link and you can see your place in line and wait time it only took like 18 min to get seated and right away they asked us for our drinks when they came back with them we placed our food order it that came really fast also like 5 min tops they really have great customer service here this time we had Nate helping us he also was really good I had the chorizo skillet it was bomb I definitely recommend it my wife had the house skillet and she also said it was delicious and last my daughter had the avocado toast and she also said it tasted amazing I really like this place the hole vibe of this place makes you feel like home I'm definitely coming back again till next time see u soon read more

I didn't have the need to ask for more coffee my waitress just knew the exact moment I wanted anothe re-fill. UNFORTUNATELY , the asada plate WITH EGGS seasoned with cilantro and onions was NOT DELICIOUS. It was "Meh" the meat was not hot and it was so hard to cut with knife and was very dry difficult to chew. There was Only like 3 little PCs of cilantro and didn't see any onions. I'm only taking a guess if I'm wrong I apologize but it seemed to me it was a "cancel" order and decided to give it to me instead. Great family restaurant to enjoy a good meal. There are no reservations, it's first come first served. Came around 8am and waited 25min for the table. Once seated we were greeted right away. We were helped by Nathan and he was wonderful. Took our order right away and I have to have to say I think we took longer in deciding what to order than how long the food took to come out. Great ambiance and they also have a heated patio. Food portion is awesome and delicious! Priced just right. Highly recommend. Forgot to mention they baked their muffins. Big win! read more
