Had 6 drinks no straws, had asked the waitress for straws and she states "I only have two for now", and she never said she was coming back to bring the rest as if we were disregarded. Then asked for one more straw because we never got any for the rest of the drinks and it seem like the table next to us got their straws, halfway through our lunch she came back with a tremendous amount of straws in her hand to our face and seem very condescending and rude. I get they are busy waiting on other parties and did not seem welcoming, they need to be more attentive and aware to their customers. They never gave a bag for the to go boxes and expect customers to juggle the to go boxes on our heads. it seems as if they were selective on being nice to certain customers. Delicious breakfast and amazing coffee. Not sure who owns this place or who the Manger is but you can tell they know what they are doing and take pride. All staff seemed on task and busy, friendly and knowledgeable. The establishment was very clean. Service was freakishly fast! No sooner we ordered hot food arrived. really sad about my experience today :( growing up, off street was always a cerritos classic diner! the wait was always long which deterred me most of the time, but anytime i'd visit and the wait was under 10 minutes, i felt as if it was my lucky day! that's how i felt today as we were sat right when we walked in (inside is pretty loud so we opted for outside). we sat down and someone came to take our drink order and said our server would be with us shortly. time passes we look over the menu and are ready to order. multiple servers pass by, more patrons get seated and served, yet no one comes up to us. 10 minutes pass and we decided to leave. i would've rather waited for a table or been told that they were understaffed than wait at the table for no one to arrive. hope they can get this situated as many other yelpers have had similar experiences as of late. read more

Decided to get breakfast/brunch with my boyfriend during our visit in the area and we appreciated the ambiance, service, and food that they offered! My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak hash and I ordered their house skillet! The chicken was definitely great quality as my boyfriend thought it would be on the dryer side. However, he said it was one of the well-cooked chicken fried steak he's eaten for a breakfast meal. The house skillet was delicious and came with the perfect portion. The toppings on the skillet paired perfectly well, making my breakfast meal satisfying. We also got the mimosa flight as we love to explore different mimosas whenever we get the chance. This was also a rare time to get brunch as we only go out for lunch/dinner. They were all super yummy and got us quite buzzed, but not too tipsy. I've been here about 3 times. I really liked it at first, but the last time I was there, I had a very underwhelming avocado toast. It was literally a squashed avocado on a plain piece of wheat toast. It did NOT look like the photo on their Yelp page, and there are no pictures on the menu. There was no creativity and no seasoning. I was expecting something else, I guess. I had an amazing avocado toast EXPERIENCE from a farmer's market in SD in the past so I know it can be done. They could have used a piece of artisan bread with options like red onion and tomato, for example. Instead, what I got was a lifeless, uninspired meal that I could have made better myself at home. That's on me for expecting something else and not knowing that the item was exactly that - avocado toast. The service was still very quick even though there's always a bunch of people waiting. I've always sat on the patio because the acoustics inside do not absorb noise enough for my sensitive ears. This might be the best brunch place in SoCal. My wife and I stop in whenever we have to go to the Honda dealership or Kaiser. It can get quite busy on weekends but worth the wait. Fantastic brunch area in a hidden spot. We checked in during noon time & were seated within 5 minutes. There's tables, booths, and an outdoor area. The place is super attractive and clean. We were in town, found this spot on google, pulled into the parking lot and knew that this was very much a local spot. We got our table within minutes dispute it looking busy.
