I went to Oggi's today terrible experience! I used to go there every week 10-15 years ago... The restaurant was not packed at all to mention! I was so excited to go today to watch the padres game! Arrived at the bottom of the 2nd inning order my beer and medium pepperoni pizza! I waited till the bottom of the 5th inning and yet no pizza I had to ask one of the workers what's the updated on the pizza. They came back and said oh you "ordered a pizza "!!!! bruhhhhh I ordered it with my beer a very long time ago. They side they would get it in the oven as fast as the can! What happened 2 innings later they bring out what? A plate for my pizza then 10 mins later they bring out my pizza! So disappointed at least I thought they would take my beer or my pizza off or a discount at least but noooo! I gave them no tip..... read more

I love Oggi's overall and have had many great experiences at different locations, however, we were disappointed with this particular experience. My husband, dad, and I came here for a last-minute dinner since we were in the area and were pleasantly surprised to find it fairly empty with no wait on a Friday. While we were seated and drinks ordered right away, our server didn't come back for an exponential amount of time. We saw her near the bar just chatting with a coworker and not once looked up to see if we were ready. Once she did finally come over to take our order, she didn't write it down, which is always worrisome because it's a 50/50 shot the order will be correct. Unsurprisingly, my dad's meal came out completely wrong and we had to wait the entire length of time that it took to make another pizza. By the time he received his, my husband and I were pretty much finished with our meals. When we received our bill, she said that she took off the $4.00 garlic knots "for the trouble", which was more insulting than anything. They should have comped the entire pizza. Easy to get in and out of and with lots of parking available... this is a great spot to grab a drink or meal. Staff are friendly. A cool vibe. Several TVs to enjoy your team. I used to frequent the Carmel Mountain location but now that I find myself near the beach more often this will be my go to spot for pizza and beer. Give them a try when you are in the area. I am here to attend an event and also perform my gig, never been to Oggi in the past, but they did have great food selections especially their flatbread, I kept coming back for more, I wish I had a chance to take a look at their main menu, but I was a bit busy, then I forgot, I did use their restroom, it was very clean in my opinion. I did see their inside, it's spacious and created a family friendly vibe, although a lot people dine in to watch the game, I felt very warm and welcome. They do a have an outdoor seating area, I think it could use a little more space, but it can fit about 30-40 people if they can set it up properly and a small stage if someone like to do stand up and such. We came into the Oggi's Del Mar location today and our experience truly will make you say Oggi's (Oh Jeez)! There were not many people in the restaurant; which should have been our first hint at the service provided here. We sat at a table near the open door and there was a particular grease trap smell coming from outside and wafting into the restaurant. Possibly coming from the Oh-Jeez kitchen. The open door was also a problem as I saw a few flies enter the restaurant for a bite to eat. (I'm sure the flies didn't receive the service they were expecting either.) As for the food, I ordered a flatbread margarita pizza that was very overpriced for the value. The flatbread pizza very closely resembled a RedBaron pizza from the Ralph's down the street. Not exactly what I expected from a pizza place. I wouldn't say that this could be called a sports bar either since a lot of the TVs don't show sports, but a DirectTV logo screen saver and Sunday ticket screen savers. This could be why a lot of the TVs here have logos burnt into them and makes the shows unwatchable. Time to get newer TVs! I would also like to add that upon sitting down I requested to watch a soccer game, one of the workers here changed the sports channel that another lady was watching. When the lady told the worker here that she wanted the channel switched back, the worker said that "it was okay. They aren't paying customers." Is that how this restaurant rolls?! Very disappointing. We've gone to other Oggi's locations, so we were excited to see something familiar while out of town. Unfortunately this location didn't live up to our expectations. The food was fine and edible. The prices were reasonable. But almost everything was just bland. The only thing that had good flavor was the lemon pepper fried zucchini. But unfortunately, they put the ranch dressing in with the hot zucchini so it burst open making all of the zucchini soggy. The pizza dough lacked flavor, but the sauce was too sweet and tasted canned. We got garlic knots as well but there was no garlic, butter, or anything. It just tasted like dry dough. read more

This Carmel valley location has a warm bright interior with a spacious outdoor patio. The waitress staff was very friendly and Val our waitress was amazing. She took great care of our large party. The wings here are famous for their many variety of flavors and large sized wings. The buffalo sauce is great here. Cocktail drinks here were made very very well. The food is really good but the dining room is total chaos. The staff has no control over the obnoxious Carmel Valley families that basically run the show. I was out here with a group of 7 for a late lunch/early dinner on football Sunday and was surprised with how quickly we were sat. The restaurant itself was large enough to accommodate a few large groups so that was a great thing to see. All the tv's were playing the different games so of course, that was an instant "yes" in my book. Moving on to the food, the menu was incredibly extensive and a few of us were going back and forth between different items. When our waitress came, she was extremely helpful and helped me to narrow down my choices, ultimately getting me to select the salmon pasta. The portions were massive and reflected in the prices - not overly priced at all and actually maybe a little more on the generous side. I didn't come in expecting greatness, but I will say I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors of the pasta. Very saucy and included a really large salmon filet that surprised me! It isn't often that you get that large of a filet of any fish in a pasta dish, so I would highly suggest this when you come to visit! read more

My husband comes here often for lunch and gets the Oggis stix and really likes them. So the other night when we wanted pizza we ordered the Margherita pizza. It was absolutely tasteless. It's not rocket science..it's customer service. Be polite, prompt and serve the hot food hot! Oggi's couldn't accomplish any of this. Sunday night 6pm seated, got my burger at 7pm. Lots of prompt apologies from my nice server, but Rosa the manager said she was too busy to talk to me. Never got a, "can we offer you a complimentary bowl of soup...some chips, a slice of pie...we took 10% off your bill." Nope...just "sorry", which is understandable from the server who has no control over the kitchen, but the manager wasn't interested in our future business. This is in Del Mar. So, goodbye Oggi's. Amy the Bar-tendress is awesome-- she is so kind, accommodating and always makes sure that her guests are happy! I had the Blackened Chicken salad and it was delicious! Came for lunch and it wasn't bad. Lots of space and room, but it was stuffy. There wasn't much air flow and I'm sure the AC was not turned on. Other than that, they have a decent happy hour menu, the server was attentive but used memory instead of writing down our orders. I've been going to this Oggis for 15 years now and while it has had its ups and downs it has been on a downward spiral for over 6 months now. Every time I order a pizza they mess up the order. I ask for double cut and extra well done and half the time it is not come double cut and most of the time not well done. I don't want to check out my pizza when I arrive because their scheduling is alway ways off and I don't want them to open up the pizza box in fear of it getting cold. The app states food will be done 22 minutes and when I arrive on time I wait 10 extra minutes. Next time I order food the app states 30 minutes and suddenly it is done 15 minutes early just enough time for it to get cold. I've ordered chicken piccata a few times and suddenly chicken has become scarce at Oggi's in that I get 5 bites of chicken out of a chicken breast for $25 after tax. Last night I ordered $42 of chicken wings (2 lbs and 1 boneless chicken wings) and when I ate 3 pieces I ended up throwing it out. It was clearly cooked before and then re-cooked to the point where it shrunk and became dried out where you could not taste the chicken. After all of the cooking and reheating of the wings it clearly was not 2 lbs. All I could taste is dried up skin. It tasted as if it was frozen Swanson's chicken that had been fried over and over and left for cold and reheated in the microwave. I called to complain which I've had to do occasionally over the past 15 years and a young man, who was sympathetic, told me they had kitchen staff issues and then he would put the word in but was eager to get me off the phone and did not bring up any type of credit. This restaurant is great if you want to get drinks with a big group of people. Service is pretty slow, but staff is very nice. I honestly' wouldn't recommend any of their specialty cocktails such as the Breeze something-- I was so excited to try it but it tasted like V8 juice...Also the food we ordered felt like frozen food heated up. This is the go to pizza and wings when in the San Diego area. Buffalo sauce is good. Wings a crisp and meaty, and the pizza is amazing. Pizza here is damn good. The crust is neither NY thin or Chicago thick; it's about what you find at Pizza Port. Sauce, toppings, and cheese are excellent. Did I say cheese? The Cheese Bites are more than a bite. They're mozzarella in an airy coating that's lightly fried, enough to turn the mozzarella into lava and the batter into crispy peaks of crunchiness. There's a clogged artery guaranteed with every order... but they're so so so good. To-go pizza makes it home still fresh and hot, or you can pay about $15 extra to have Uber Eats bring it to you. The restaurant itself is okay and looks like it could use an update, which would bring the dining room into the current millennium. There's a back patio that's dog-friendly, which is great, because my pup is very friendly toward fallen pizza toppings. Oggi's isn't my #1 neighborhood pizza -- that would be Ambrogio 15 in the Skydeck -- nor is it my general go-to pizza, which would be the NY style from the Bongiornio/Buonosera brothers. But I will never, ever turn Oggi's down, particularly if the forecast includes a chance of fried cheese. read more

At Oggis DEL MAR location in Caramel Valley area positively (I insist because the owner likes to brush off a bad restaurant with insisting that yelpers are clueless and have gotten the address that they just visited incorrect... see other low star reviews). First review ever written because if the business owner is smart he'll fire lazy staff/ hire better to not loose so much business. Employees seem to be high and very focused on eating. I was SPIT on as the "host" attempted to talk to us while she was still chewing a mouthful... talk about appetizing! The whole duration of my stay I didn't see her without food in her mouth once, there must have been an endless supply of food back there. Immensely unprofessional while also in slides (health code?). All other Oggis locations have staff in uniform and...working. While sitting and waiting for a while, watched over five different groups of people get upset that no Oggis employee was visible in the front of house to assist them with service and walk out. Oggis Owner, just know you are spending money paying incompetent people to loose money out the door. I love Oggis!!! Go to any other Oggis location in San Diego county and you will be in an actual functioning restaurant. I tried to give this place its fifth chance as I love all other Oggis, but after being let down the other four times by the same strange staff the mumbling through food has lost me as a customer. read more

If restaurants, small business or national chains, hold the expectation that customers hold the responsibility of ensuring good service then Covid or not it won't do well. 3. I don't appreciate the backhanded compliment of calling me a "smart gal" and I did not have the wherewithal after waiting for 1.5 hours to call a manager. We had to go and we did tell the server and perhaps she should've gotten a manager. And would not have written this review if your server didn't seem so annoyed with us AFTER we were polite, tipped and tried to make her job a little easier BECAUSE we understood and empathize how hard it is to be a small business owner. Ordered wings, their website said "ready in 10 min". Which is why I ordered her and not elsewhere. After paying, the confirmation email said 30 min. Came 30 min later just to hear from the cashier that it will be "probably another 15 minutes". "It is just our system". What a shame! read more
